14 Rare Medical Preps You Need in Your First Aid Kit

While you may be extremely prepared when it comes to food, water, self-protection, tools, and general supplies, there’s one area where you may be severely lacking: medical supplies. In some countries, trauma medical gear is limited for civilian purchase.

And for those of us who lack formal medical training, there is a giant leap that would need to be taken in order to correctly and effectively use items like skin staples, tourniquets, and sutures.

It is highly recommended that you purchase books on wilderness first aid and on emergency medical care, since when SHTF, there may be no doctors or surgeons to consult with. You’ll also want to invest heavily in your medical supplies since these can literally be life-saving and extremely hard to come by.

Canadian Prepper took us through his personal trauma kit, as well as his general medical kit so that you have an idea of what types of items you should be looking for (see video below).

Keep in mind that expiration dates are more like guidelines, and many medications and treatments can still be effective after the expiration date passes. An expired option may still be better than no option.

Extremely effective and easy to use, chitosan is derived from crustaceans or snow crab shells. They work independently from the body’s clotting process. These dressings are designed to control lacerations, minor cuts and abrasions rapidly, and are used prior to using a tourniquet.

5. Skin Stapler

Easier to use than sutures, an emergency skin stapler allows you to close off wounds with the pull of a trigger.

6. Chest Seal

If you have any expectation of engaging in a firefight, you MUST stock chest seals. These will seal up a chest wound and give you the time to get to help before you perish.

7. Splint

The SAM brand is recommended in the video and uses foam and aluminum layers that form structural arcs that are strong enough for pre- or post-cast care.

8. Israeli Medical Bandage

A hemorrhage control mechanism, the Israeli medical bandage is perfect for large lacerations or burns. It offers two layers of protection and also comes in a larger abdominal version.

9. Silver-Infused Bandages

Silver-infused bandages are recommended because they are waterproof and consistently antimicrobial.

10. Silver Antimicrobial Wound Gel

Much preferable to Polysporin, silver wound gel will actually semi-solidify on a wound, creating a protective barrier from bacteria and fungi. It will not rub off and last for three days.

11. Tourniquet

A must-have for anyone, a tourniquet can be life-saving when you suffer a severe cut or shooting.

12. Bleeding Control Kit

If you’re looking for a one-stop-shop, this is it. It contains tourniquet, medical shears, permanent marker, gauze, emergency bandage, medical gloves, and instructions.

13. ZipStitch

Intended to be easier to use but as effective as stitches, ZipStitch is an adjustable bandage that can last for up to seven days. It comes with ZipStitch, alcohol wipe, gauze, and bandage.

Elon Musk is saying what most people feel about this coronavirus scamdemic: “something extremely bogus is going on.”  Musk is both positive and negative for COVID-19.

These lies and this scam will never stop. Don’t expect them to.  This is the New World Order rolling out under the false guise of a pandemic.  Now, Musk is claiming to have been both diagnosed and cleared of the disease on the same day. The SpaceX and Tesla founder wrote on Twitter that he had been administered four tests for the virus over a 24-hour period, leading to contradictory results.

“Two tests came back negative, two came back positive. Same machine, same test, same nurse. Rapid antigen test from BD,” Musk said.

The tweet sparked a heated debate on social media, with some accusing the billionaire businessman of being “irresponsible” by suggesting that Covid-19 tests are unreliable, reported RT.  However, Musk paid no attention to the criticism and expressed further skepticism about the testing process in follow-messages.

One Twitter user speculated that Musk’s apparent false-positive illustrates why countries are seeing “spikes” of the disease, to which the Tesla CEO responded: “If it’s happening to me, it’s happening to others.”

The billionaire also agreed with a comment that noted that “revenues from tests are likely not bogus & very consistent.”

Musk said he was taking polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests from separate labs and that the results would be ready in about a day. He explained that he had symptoms of a “typical cold” but was otherwise not exhibiting any health problems purportedly linked to Covid-19. We already know the tests are unreliable and meaningless. The statistics are completely made up and fabricated to fit the narrative and yet some people are still buying this, even after the inventor of the PCR tests being used says they cannot be used as a diagnostic tool. 

The 49-year-old has been an outspoken critic of government response to the spread of the virus. Previously, he denounced lockdown policies adopted in countries around the world, arguing that only at-risk people should quarantine “until the storm passes.”

He also said that neither he nor his family will likely take future coronavirus vaccines once they become available, saying that the response to the pandemic has “diminished [his] faith in humanity.”

As we head off into the next year it is clear that we will have to navigate challenges, like any other year. Let’s look at 4 highly likely things that we need to prepare for in 2021.

Important Things to Prepare for in 2021

We are closing the books in 2020 in just a month and a half. Many people are happy about this because it has been a nightmare for most. There is this strange illusion that we are going to wake up on January 1st and everything will have changed.

The reality is that many of the problems we are dealing with are still going to be here and we might have even more problems come January 20th!

Don’t be complacent. Focus on these four things when ushering in the year 2021:

1. Firearms Restrictions and Pricing Increases

The consistent attack on the 2nd amendment rights is not going away in 2021 and will likely be exacerbated. All over the nation, there are senators and representatives calling for increased taxes on firearms, licensing, and many other ways to assure that the government gains unprecedented control over your firearms.

2021 will be a good year to prepare for a contingency if your state or the nation as a whole makes massive moves on the 2nd Amendment.

2. Economic Collapse

The pandemic and subsequent lockdown did some serious damage to the nation’s economy. While we are seeing some rebound from the stock market, there is an undeniable reckoning that we must face due to all of these stores, restaurants, and other industries that have gone under.

We have a long way to go and under a new administration, there is a good chance we will have some rough years ahead of us. If the energy sector is checked and the mom and pops are not helped, then there will be massive effects that will ripple across the nation and the world!

Economic collapse could be on the horizon, and there is no better motivating factor to deal with than that to keep you on your toes and prepping.

3. Pandemic Job Loss

As I mentioned, a serious part of this pandemic and lockdown reckoning will be job loss. I don’t think we have seen the full effect of the pandemic job loss yet. I don’t assume we know all of the sectors and industries that have been affected by the lockdowns and drop off in business.

That being said, we just do not know how secure any of our jobs are! So, you have to ask yourself if you are ready to lose your job.

What would you do if your major source of income were cut off? Do you have a backup plan of some kind of savings that can float you until your next job? What if your next job was five months away in a tightened job market?

Now is the time to prepare for what I call the personal apocalypse. The year 2021 is just the right kind of year to experience a serious emergency in your own life. Sometimes, it’s not only a nation that collapses, it’s your home, job, or health that has a tremendous effect on life.

4. Vaccine Fallout

Pfizer has announced that they have a vaccine that will deliver us from the COVID nightmare. For those who are only looking at this issue on the surface, that means it’s a time to celebrate! They do not consider the efficacy of the flu vaccine and the repercussions of vaccines in general.

With authoritarian state and federal governments hard at work, there are many people who are concerned about what the vaccine means.

Will this be a mandated vaccine? If so, what does that look like? What is your game plan if your state says that you have to take the vaccine or you cannot go to work? What if your child has to take it to go to school?

Have you considered a mandated vaccine that you simply cannot afford to take?

Conclusion

Every year is a mish-mash of issues. 2020 has been highlighted by some terrifying issues in the nation. The lockdown was a terrifying precedent that may cost as many lives as the virus would have.

We have seen lives shattered by the lockdown because of job loss. Basic healthcare screenings have also been way down so we cannot know what that means for the death rate due to the lockdown.

We have a lot to answer in 2021, and one of the very best things to do is to prepare for it all.

Get your food storage up to par, create an emergency fund in case you lose your job, be prepared to defend your family in an economic collapse. And perhaps, even devise an evacuation plan to deal with the fallout from the very worst-case scenario in 2021.

If you are prepared and 2021 goes smoothly, then you get to sleep with peace of mind. If we just keep riding in the 2020 lane of chaos and disaster, then you will be way ahead of the game.

For the life of me, I just don’t get the mainstream media’s vehement objections to President Trump’s desire to investigate whether Joe Biden ending up winning the election through fraud. Their argument, repeated from the very moment that Biden was declared the winner and ever since is that Trump’s claims of fraud are “false” and “baseless.”

But secrecy is normally at the core of fraud. While there might be isolated cases where, say, a person is caught voting twice, it’s rare that massive fraud manifests itself immediately.  It usually takes an investigation to ferret it out.

Notice what happens if the logic of mainstream media, most of which was vehemently in favor of Biden’s election, holds sway. If there is massive, sophisticated fraud, it is never discovered because there is never an investigation to determine whether there was fraud. The reason there is no investigation is because there is no evidence of fraud immediately after the election. But the only way to discover the existence of electoral fraud is to conduct an investigation, which isn’t conducted because there is no evidence of fraud immediately after the election.

Let’s assume, for example, that there was election software that corrupt officials were able to use to manufacture whatever number of votes Biden needed to win. How could anyone be expected to ferret out that fraud immediately after the election? One would need an investigation to discover fraud on that sophisticated level. But the mainstream media’s argument is that there should be no investigation because there is no immediate evidence of the fraud. Thus, if the mainstream media’s argument is accepted, the fraud succeeds because there is never an investigation into the matter.

The mainstream media asserts that there is nothing unusual about the massive number of votes that poured in for Biden after the election. But the fact is that it was unusual. Nothing like that has ever happened in U.S. presidential election history.

Democrat Lyndon Johnson’s 1948 U.S. Senate campaign in Texas, which I wrote about the day before the Trump-Biden election, is instructive. Johnson won that election by 87 votes out of almost a million votes cast.

Johnson’s position was the same as that of the mainstream media today. Immediately after the election, he was asserting that there was no evidence of fraud. But as I indicated above, oftentimes election fraud is hard to ferret it. It takes an investigation to do so.

Even with an investigation, Johnson’s opponent, Gov. Coke Stevenson, was unable to prevail in his election contest. Does that mean there was no fraud? No, it doesn’t. In fact, many years later, after Johnson had served as John Kennedy’s vice president and then as president, his electoral fraud rose to the surface.

It turned out that Johnson had told a South Texas crony named George Parr to keep his poll tabulations open after the election, just in case Johnson needed more votes to win. Several days after the election, when Johnson was losing, Parr delivered 200 votes to him, which gave Johnson the win.

This New York Times article, which is worth reading, details Johnson’s election fraud, which became known as the “Box 13” scandal (Google “Box 13 scandal.”) In 1977, after Johnson and Parr were dead, an election judge in charge of Jim Well County’s Box 13, Luis Salas, came forward and confessed that he was part of the fraud. He said that Johnson told Parr that he needed 200 more votes to win the election. Parr instructed Salas to produce the additional 200 votes, which Salas did. The last 200 signatures on the election tally were all in the same ink, which was different from the ink of the other signatures, the signatures were in the same handwriting, and the names were in alphabetical order.

Johnson went on to become U.S. Senator. If he had lost the race, there is no chance he would have become president in November 1963. 

It’s certainly possible that Joe Biden’s election is legitimate. But it’s also possible that it’s not. What’s wrong with Trump investigating it now rather than have the fraud surface 30 years from now, as it did in the case of Lyndon Johnson? Surely, the mainstream media wouldn’t want another illegitimate Democrat president, would it?

They don’t fit the same way; wear the same way, or protect the same way. Cheap gloves use inferior materials and no tactical design features.

And this is a shame because your hands are one of the most crucial tools you have.

Losing the use of your hands would be one of the biggest hurdles to navigating in an emergency.

Imagine having to perform all your tasks in a given day without using your hands.

I’m willing to bet that you couldn’t do even the most basic tasks in such a situation!

But, a small cut left untreated can lead to infection. Or severe blisters can make using tools and weapons an exercise in pure torture.

Gloves (like all performance gear) are designed based on their intended use. This strategy leads to a vast range of options on the market today.

But since many gloves are made for a specific task, they’re not always great for broader range use.

“Tactical” gloves protect your hands from common injuries (like scrapes, blisters, and burns).

They should remain both flexible and close-fitting. These features provide extreme dexterity and minimal restriction on your range of motion.

Tactical glove manufacturers construct them for maximum durability. And often offer increased padding and protection at injury-prone or high-wear locations.

Some gloves also have strategic armoring at the vulnerable knuckles and palms areas.

These features make high impact tasks less likely to cause stress injuries, such as chopping wood, firing weapons, or operating heavy machinery.

As with any other visible equipment, tactical gloves come in a range of colors and styles. You can find them in a military appearance to something looking surprisingly casual.

Your stylistic choice often depends on your desire to blend in or not. And your willingness to draw attention to yourself or not.

For example, my daily life involves both work-from-home or in the office. That’s why I prefer gear on the more discrete end of the spectrum.

But if you work in a more rugged setting, military-style gloves may be better for you. In such an environment, they’ll be less of a distraction or perceived threat.

Note On Legality Of Knuckle Armor

Many tactical gloves feature padded or “armored” knuckles. This feature is meant for resistance to abrasion and cuts across your knuckles.

This “armor” is generally made of thick leather, fabric, or lightweight thermoformed plastic.

But there are also tactical gloves that include weighted or “loaded” knuckles. These “loaded knuckles” are specifically made to cause damage when throwing a punch.

They also tend to have extra weight to make the blow more impactful. And some even have exposed metal to injure an opponent as well.

The bottom line is:

These glove based weapons are made to provide an advantage in hand to hand combat.

But they’re generally NOT LEGAL in many areas around the world. So we are not going to include this type of gloves in this article.

WHAT FEATURES SHOULD YOU LOOK FOR IN A TACTICAL GLOVE?

As noted earlier, our hands are critical tools. They’re necessary for humans to accomplish, well…just about ANYTHING!

That’s why you should consider looking for a well-built pair that won’t let you down when you need them most.

But what features are requirements, and which ones are “nice to have”?

As always, it comes down to how you use them and what tasks you face.

Grip

First off, if you can’t keep a grip on things while wearing a pair of gloves, then they’re complete rubbish!

Fortunately, most tactical gloves feature textured palms and fingers to increase grip dramatically.

Split-grain leather is also excellent as well. But this type of leather can get polished smooth overtime with heavy use.

Finished leather, on the other hand, often has minimal grip from the start. So make sure you know the difference before you buy.

Dexterity

Just as necessary as the grip is dexterity. Dexterity is what allows you to do delicate tasks without having to take your gloves off.

There are two schools of thought on how to achieve this.

Some manufacturers make gloves with thin material and a close fit on the fingers.

This option is accomplished with synthetic materials or very high-grade leather. But can come at the price of durability.

The other option is fingerless gloves.

These protect your palms and the first joint of your finger. But stop at the second knuckle, leaving your fingertips free to do detail work.

These are great for warm weather and fair conditions. But I’ve had injuries that could have been easily prevented with full finger gloves.

Bulk / Ease Of Movement

Insulation and padding are essential features to keep your hands comfortable and warm. But it can also be too much of a good thing.

When the gloves get bulky, you tend to lose range of motion.

Fit and ease of movement are critical here – you need a glove that, well, “fits like a glove.”

They should go on and off smoothly. And you should be able to move your hands freely while wearing them.

Check the sizing guide from the manufacturer, but don’t let that be your only guide. If possible, try them on before buying or if you buy online, return them ASAP if they don’t fit well.

Always check online reviews to see if others mention the fit.

The chances are a poor-fitting glove will be more hassle than it’s worth.

Touchscreen Capability

It’s a fact of modern life: Touchscreens are everywhere!

And not just smartphones either. GPS units, vehicles, computers, and small electronics are sporting touchscreens these days.

You can’t even unlock the keyless entry on my front door with thick gloves on!

So look for a glove with touchscreen compatibility. Or be prepared to take your gloves off dozens of times a day.

These gloves have a unique material on the fingertips to register on touchscreens. But there’s a wide range of effectiveness so test any gloves as soon as possible.

Comfort

Comfort is a product of all the other features, but it’s worth mentioning again.

Whenever you wear gloves, they must be as comfortable as possible, or you’ll take them off often.

Breathable materials, durable stitching, and a soft liner help dramatically.

Padding and armor in the right places, as well as a secure fit, make some gloves stand out from the others.

Cost

The final deciding factor in many gear purchases, cost plays a role here as well.

You can expect to find gloves ranging in price from those under $15 to upwards of $75 per pair.

Materials, design, and brand name all play equally important roles here. So be sure to understand what you need from your gloves and what you’re willing to spend.

The PIG FDT Delta gloves are a great option if you like a close-fitting, second-skin type of glove.

3 – WTACTFUL Touch Screen Tactical Gloves

The WTactful Touch Screen gloves are some of the best you can find at the lower end of the price scale.

They’re comfortable and have adequate ventilation. Thus, the WTactful gloves are extremely breathable to keep your hands warm but dry.

Plus, they’re fast-drying and have good anti-slip palms.

The knuckle guards are incredibly durable. But a few users have felt they didn’t fit exactly where they were needed, leading to discomfort.

A different (larger) size would likely alleviate some of these issues, as they tend to run a little small.

The touchscreen compatibility is decent, but it’s only on the thumb and middle finger.

Not sure about anyone else, but the lack of index finger compatibility would drive me nuts!

They look more like casual or urban gloves than tactical wear. But they may not stand up to heavy daily use, but they’ll do fine for most situations.

5 – FREETOO Tactical Gloves

Freetoo is a relatively unknown glove brand. But they have a great feature set at a reasonable price.

First, they’re comfortable and have excellent grip. Plus, these gloves are well vented and breathable to keep your hands dry.

The knuckle padding looks like carbon fiber molded material. But it’s actually moderately flexible nylon with padding inside.

This setup is reasonable since it helps contribute to the overall comfort. But buyers should be aware that they’re not stiff knuckle armor.

The full-length cuff keeps debris out. And it also wraps around the wrist, giving an extra level of protection.

One unfortunate miss, these are NOT touchscreen-compatible gloves.

6 – Oakley SI Factory Pilot Gloves

Most of us associate Oakley with high-end athletic sunglasses. But they’ve been working on their “Standard Issue” (SI) lineup of tactical gear for years.

This new lineup of gear includes gloves, goggles, and even boots.

These gloves are built with 4-way stretch material and full-grain leather palms.

The stretch material contributes to a close but comfortable fit. And the leather is excellent for durability and is more breathable than micro-perforations.

The padded knuckles and rubber finger guards are a welcome addition. And the secure stretch wrist cuff is secured with an inside tab.

This design leaves a cleaner surface on the back of the hand and wrist.

As with a lot of well-known brands, there are some reports of possible knockoffs. These will have inferior stitching, so be careful where you order your gloves.

7 – Outdoor Research Convoy Sensor Gloves

While not strictly tactical gloves, the Outdoor Research Convoy Sensor gloves are attractive.

Why? Because most tactical gloves offer little in the way of winter weather insulation. But the Convoy is more a cross between a tactical glove and a winter glove.

It’s a little harder to do find dexterity work with the larger fingers. And you’ll have to be comfortable with a bit less sensitivity on your trigger finger.

But if the temps drop and you’re wearing a lesser glove, you’ll lose that feeling either way.

Trust me; these are the kinds of gloves you want for an extended winter mission.

Another option in this class is the Outdoor Research Stormtracker Sensor glove. This option has a longer cuff for snowy conditions.

They have a slim profile that’s easy to use for delicate work, with minimal bulk in the fingers. The neoprene cuff fits securely and keeps dirt and debris out.

The Tac Blackout gloves are one of the thinner ones out there. So prepare to add an over-glove or an extra liner when temps drop.

I tried on a lot of different tactical gloves in my quest to upgrade my gear this year. I’ve found differences between the makes in fit, comfort, and utility.

Pay attention to what your friends have on at the range or at work. If, in the end, you still like the hardware store version best, that’s great!

The destruction of rights is well underway for a second time. They are really desperate to keep up this scam at all costs. This has never been about health.  The elitists do not care about our health and whether we continue to live on this planet or not.  They only want power. We are being played like a grand piano and most people are too brainwashed to even realize how enslaved they already are.  If we let this happen again, frankly, we don’t deserve the freedom which is our birthright as human beings.

This is all planned. This is a part of their game. The only way to win is to refuse to play. Rise up and live freely.  That’s what terrifies these psychopaths: our realization that we don’t need their permission to be free.

 

This is going to be one of the most chaotic periods in the history of U.S. politics, because we literally have less than 30 days to solve major election controversies in six different states.  For the Trump campaign, it is going to be a race against time, and so hopefully they have some of the sharpest lawyers in the entire nation working on this 24 hours a day.  Because once the Electoral College has voted, there isn’t going to be any going back.  Sadly, the 2020 election season is exposing some real flaws in our system.  Investigating allegations of vote fraud is a task that requires a lot of time, and our system was never designed to allow for that.  Instead, it was just assumed that our elections would be fair and honest and that any potential controversies could be resolved very rapidly.

Most Americans assume that the election is already over, but the truth is that the presidential election has not even happened yet.

According to the U.S. Constitution, it is the Electoral College that elects the president, and they will not cast their votes until December 14th.

So nobody should be claiming that anyone is the “president-elect”, because you can only be the “president-elect” after you have been elected.

Unfortunately, even Wikipedia is promoting the falsehood that you can have a “president-elect” before the Electoral College has voted…

The president-elect of the United States is the person who conclusively appears to have won a presidential election in the United States but has yet to take office as President. The president-elect takes office after the oath of office is administered during the presidential inauguration.

In our system, the American people do not elect the president.

Instead, every four years we go to the polls to choose a slate of electors in each state, and those electors cast their votes to actually elect the president at a later date.

In 2020, members of the Electoral College will gather on December 14th to cast their votes.  And the deadline for choosing those electors is December 8th.  The following comes from the National Archives…

States must make final decisions in any controversies over the appointment of their electors at least six days before the meeting of the electors. This is so their electoral votes will be presumed valid when presented to Congress. Decisions by States’ courts are conclusive, if decided under laws enacted before Election Day.

So that makes December 8th the most important date on the election calendar, because all of the election challenges need to be wrapped up by then.

Like I said in the title of this article, the clock is ticking.

Six days after December 8th, the electors will formally cast their votes, and then we will finally have a “president-elect”.  Here is more from the National Archives…

The electors meet in their respective States and vote for President and Vice President on separate ballots. The electors record their votes on six Certificates of Vote, which are paired with the six remaining Certificates of Ascertainment. The electors sign, seal, and certify six sets of electoral votes. A set of electoral votes consists of one Certificate of Ascertainment and one Certificate of Vote.

Normally, voting by the Electoral College goes entirely as expected.  Both parties work very hard to make sure that the electors that they choose to appear on the ballot are very loyal, and a majority of states have now passed laws which require their electors to vote in line with what the citizens of their states have chosen.

In fact, at this point there are 29 states (and D.C.) which have laws that give them “legal control over their electors”…

There are still 21 states which could theoretically have electors that vote however they want, but because the parties carefully choose their own electors it is very unlikely that we will see any “faithless electors” in this election.

So the bottom line is that all of the legal disputes about the choosing of electors will be wrapped up by December 8th one way or the other, and that gives authorities very little time to determine what actually happened on November 4th and the days following.

Trump’s legal team is facing a task of monumental proportions.  They have got to condense years of work into just a few weeks, and they have got to be able to prove that voting results need to be overturned in at least three states before the December 8th deadline.

On Tuesday night, White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany told Sean Hannity that Trump’s team now has 234 pages of sworn affidavits alleging election fraud.  But does Trump’s legal team have enough time to use that evidence to flip the results in enough states to alter the eventual outcome?

At a minimum, Trump is going to need three states.  Georgia, Pennsylvania and Michigan would get him to a tie in the Electoral College, and that tie would be broken by a vote of state delegations in the House of Representatives.

Trump could also win an outright victory by flipping a combination of four different states, but that won’t be easy to do in less than a month.

As I have been detailing on The Most Important News, an enormous amount of evidence that is favorable to Trump has been emerging.

But Trump’s biggest enemy is the clock.  Each day that passes without something major happening is a big victory for Biden and a huge loss for Trump.

One way or the other, it will all be over by December 8th.

I wish that we had much more time than that, but we simply do not.

A storm is coming in, and soon it will envelop the entire nation.  We are accustomed to seeing businesses board up their doors and windows in coastal cities that are about to get hit by a hurricane, but I can’t think of another time when businesses all across America have been boarding up their doors and windows all at the same time.  There is widespread fear that this election could be the spark that sets off another round of horrifying civil unrest in cities all over the United States, and business owners are taking measures to protect their businesses from the violence.  The fact that we are even talking about the possibility of widespread violence after a presidential election shows just how much our country has fallen already.  Our society is literally coming apart at the seams all around us, and at this point even Forbes is urging everyone to prepare for a worst case scenario…

If we don’t have a clear winner, things could get ugly. Since we’ve witnessed months of mayhem, riots and civil unrest in large U.S. cities, it’s reasonable to conclude that we’ll have a frightening level of violence, destruction and unrest after the election. Both sides may claim victory, which could lead to actions that we don’t want to even consider, as it would rip apart the country.

That paragraph was not pulled from some ridiculous tabloid.  This is Forbes that we are talking about, and it is crazy that even they are warning that there could be “a frightening level of violence, destruction and unrest after the election”.

How in the world is it possible that we have sunk so low?

Violence is not going to solve anything.  It boggles my mind that so many Americans would be willing to engage in senseless violence, and we should all be grieved by what has been happening in the streets of Philadelphia over the past few nights.

Many desperate business owners are extremely concerned that their businesses could be vandalized and looted in the aftermath of the upcoming election, and they have been boarding up their storefronts to try to prevent that from happening.  For example, here is what has been happening in downtown Washington…

Large swaths of downtown Washington, within blocks of the White House, resembled a coastal community girding for a powerful hurricane. Hotels, office buildings, coffee shops and restaurants were sheathed in plywood, with some of the makeshift barriers stretching nearly entire blocks.

And at this point large portions of downtown Chicago are boarded up as well…

Restaurants and luxury retailers are operating through windows covered in plywood or other barriers, and shoppers pass through entryway cut-outs. City officials have been holding workshops in recent months to prepare for possible civil unrest after Election Day.

If I owned a business in a core urban area, I would undoubtedly be doing the exact same thing.

When things get crazy, the looters are going to follow the path of least resistance, and they are going to prey on easy targets.

Just look at what looters just did to a Walmart in Philadelphia.  Watching that footage should chill you to the core.

On Thursday, we learned that Walmart has decided to pull all guns and ammunition from the sales floors of all their stores nationwide due to concerns that the upcoming election could spark even more civil unrest…

“We have seen some isolated civil unrest and as we have done on several occasions over the last few years, we have moved our firearms and ammunition off the sales floor as a precaution,” Walmart said in a statement.

There is still a small chance that there could be some sort of a landslide that would bring a quick end to the presidential race, but that does not seem likely.

Instead, it appears that the election results could be bitterly contested, and law enforcement authorities in some states are preparing for the worst.

For instance, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has announced that he will be deploying National Guard troops to cities all over Texas prior to Election Day…

In Texas, National Guard troops are expected to be sent to Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio before Election Day. During a Wednesday news conference, Texas Governor Greg Abbott said during a Wednesday event that the Texas National Guard were being deployed “in the event that there are any protests after the elections are concluded, that we will have adequate personnel in place to make sure that we will be able to address any protest that could turn into riots.” Abbott declined to reveal the number of troops being sent throughout the state.

I wish that more governors were taking similar steps, but a lot of politicians in blue states don’t seem particularly eager to crack down on rioters, and that is extremely unfortunate.

Because the truth is that most Americans can see what is coming and they are extremely concerned about what may happen.  According to one recent survey, three out of every four voters is “worried about possible violence”…

Across the country, Americans are increasingly worried about the possibility of violence over the high-stakes presidential election, which analysts say could be marred in chaos as an anxious country waits days or weeks for the results. Three of 4 voters say they’re worried about possible violence, while only 1 in 4 say they’re “very confident” the country will see a peaceful transfer of power if Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden defeats President Donald Trump, a new USA TODAY/Suffolk University poll finds.

Personally, I am still hoping that a way can be found to minimize the unrest and that we can get through this election with as little violence as possible.

But sticking our heads in the sand isn’t going to do any good.  There have been endless riots since the tragic death of George Floyd earlier this year, and this election has the potential to spark chaos that is unlike anything that we have seen so far.

Hopefully it won’t happen.

Hopefully the votes will be counted as quickly as possible and the vast majority of Americans will be willing to peacefully accept the results.

But the closer that we get to Election Day the less likely that outcome appears to be, and at this point many of us are bracing for the worst.

In my entire lifetime, I have never seen Americans so emotionally invested in the outcome of a presidential election.  Yes, things always get intense as we approach Election Day, but this time around is different.  There are many Democrats that do not even want to imagine another four years under Trump.  In fact, for many of them it is literally the worst thing that they could possibly imagine ever happening.  But for many Republicans, a Trump loss would be equally as devastating.  Not since the days of Ronald Reagan have we ever seen Republicans adore a president the way that they love Trump, and a loss would be emotionally crippling for millions of them.

With all of that in mind, check out what one shocking new survey just discovered…

As if the coronavirus pandemic wasn’t giving Americans enough anxiety already, you may have heard there’s a presidential election this November. With political divisions reaching historical highs, a survey finds a majority of the country believe their most stressful day of 2020 hasn’t even arrived yet. The poll examining mental health reveals 55 percent of Americans think Election Day 2020 will be the most stress-filled day of their lives.

There is so much at stake for both sides.

Once a winner is officially declared, one side will be jubilant, but the other will instantly plunge into deep despair.

As this election has drawn to a close, I have been amazed at the incredible outpouring of support that we have seen for President Trump all over the nation.  If you don’t understand what I am talking about, just watch this video, this video and this video.  I have never seen anything even close to this, and I have been following politics very closely for decades.  In the old days, it was always tough just to get a few people to hold signs on a street corner, and so I was absolutely blown away by a 96 mile show of support for President Trump.

It is a very rare politician that can inspire that sort of enthusiasm, but if Trump is not able to win all of that emotion is going to come crashing down like a tsunami.

I personally know so many conservatives, patriots and evangelicals that are all-in emotionally for this election, and I am deeply concerned about what will happen if Joe Biden emerges with a victory.  It would literally be the deepest emotional blow that conservatives, patriots and evangelicals have experienced since the days of World War II, and we could potentially see millions of them plunge into a very deep state of emotional depression.

On the other hand, if Trump wins it will literally seem like the end of the world for many on the left.

There are some that have already talked about moving out of the country, but others insist that life simply would not be worth living anywhere as long as Trump is in the White House.  I honestly believe that we could see a dramatic spike in attempted suicides following the election, and mental health officials will need to be on high alert.

Of course many others will likely take out their frustrations by resorting to violence, and that could lead to an eruption of civil unrest like we have never seen before.

As I write this article, businesses in major cities all across the U.S. are boarding up their windows, and law enforcement authorities are preparing for the worst.  In fact, Fox News recently reported that officials in New York, Chicago, Miami, Portland, Seattle, Orlando, Minneapolis and Philadelphia have all been making preparations for potential post-election violence.

At this hour, most Democrats want to believe that the national polls that show Joe Biden with a huge lead are accurate, but there is no forgetting what happened in 2016.

They were so sure that they would win that election, but then a “Trump miracle” in the the northern states of Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin changed everything.

And in 2020, the Trump campaign has been working very hard to possibly add Minnesota to that list…

Minnesota Democrats estimate that as many as 250,000 white residents who didn’t go to college—the heart of Trump’s base—weren’t registered to vote in 2016. Republicans are taking pains to find them. While Democrats in the state have largely suspended door-to-door campaigning because of the pandemic, Republicans have kept at it. Last week, volunteers knocked on more than 130,000 doors in the state, a campaign official told me. “This is the largest organization that we’ve seen a Republican put into this state, in terms of advertising dollars, principal visits, and staff on the ground,” Ken Martin, the chair of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, told me.

If Trump is able to pull off another miracle, it will crush Democrats emotionally like no other presidential election we have ever seen.

But if Trump is not able to pull off another miracle, it will crush Republicans emotionally like no other presidential election we have ever seen.

Either way, this is going to be a devastating emotional blow for tens of millions of Americans, and the emotional fallout will last for years.

If you are on the winning side in this election, there will definitely be a temptation to rub it in the faces of those that have lost.

But that temptation must be resisted, because that is not the proper response.

There are going to be people that you know that are deeply, deeply hurting, and they are going to need love and compassion to get through the grieving process.

If we are ever going to be united as a country ever again, we have got to learn to love those that we deeply disagree with.

Right now, most Democrats are convinced that Trump is going to lose, and most Republicans are convinced that Trump is going to win.

And the truth is that the races in the most critical swing states are very close and this election could still go either way.

In the end, one side is in for the emotional letdown of a lifetime, and I don’t know if our country will ever be the same again after this is all over.
