She just can’t help herself.  If Kamala Harris was smart, she would not have any specific policy positions.  She is not a serious candidate and she should not try to be one.  Her best chance of winning is to just wave and smile a lot.  When she was running on “joy” for the first couple of weeks, millions of Americans loved that.  Of course it was a total charade because just like Hillary Clinton, behind the scenes Kamala Harris is extremely mean and vicious.  That is why she has always had such a high turnover rate among her staff.  But if she had just kept running on “joy”, there is a very good chance that she could have won.

Unfortunately for Harris, she feels compelled to tell the American people what she actually plans to do once she becomes president.

And that is a really bad thing for her campaign, because just about everyone hates her ideas.

For example, why would she tell the American people that she wants to raise taxes?

I don’t know anyone that actually wants to pay more taxes.

She should have just said nothing about taxes and then raised them after the election.

By telling people in advance what she plans to do, she is just losing votes.

Americans for Tax Reform examined the plan that she has endorsed, and they concluded that it would raise taxes by 5 trillion dollars over the next 10 years.

The biggest chunk of that new money would come from raising the corporate tax rate from 21 percent to 28 percent…

U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris is proposing to increase the corporate tax rate to 28% from 21% if she wins a November election against Republican rival Donald Trump, her campaign said on Monday.

Harris campaign spokesperson James Singer said the move would be part of “a fiscally responsible way to put money back in the pockets of working people and ensure billionaires and big corporations pay their fair share.”

We are being told that raising the corporate tax rate to 28 percent would bring in about a trillion dollars in revenue over the course of the next ten years…

When Trump was president, he slashed the corporate tax rate to 21% from 35% and implemented other tax breaks that are set to expire next year. Trump has vowed to make the cuts permanent.

The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, a nonpartisan advocacy group, said on Monday that Harris’ proposal to raise the corporate income tax rate to 28% would reduce the U.S. deficit by $1 trillion over a decade.

But we certainly won’t raise that kind of revenue if corporations start moving out of the country in very large numbers.

If what Kamala Harris is proposing becomes law, we will actually have a higher corporate tax rate than communist China…

Kamala Harris wants to hike the current 21% federal corporate income tax rate to 28%, higher than communist China’s 25% and the EU average of 21%, her campaign said Monday.

The Kamala Harris federal 28% rate is higher than the Asia average corporate tax rate of 19.8%, the EU average of 21%, the world average of 23.5%, and the OECD average of 23.7%.

If you don’t want to be called a communist, don’t try to tax businesses even harder than the communists.

Another element of the plan that Kamala Harris wants to implement that is causing a lot of controversy is a proposal to tax the unrealized capital gains of the ultra-wealthy.  According to the Los Angeles Times, taxing those unrealized capital gains is part of a scheme for “a 25% minimum tax on the annual income of taxpayers with wealth of more than $100 million”…

All right, guys, take a deep breath. Harris hasn’t proposed taxing your unrealized capital gains, or mine. What she has said, as the Harris campaign told me, is that she “supports the revenue raisers in the FY25 Biden-Harris [administration] budget. Nothing beyond that.”

So what’s in that Biden-Harris administration budget for fiscal year 2025?

The budget plan does indeed call for taxation of unrealized capital gains held by the country’s uber-rich. That’s part of its proposal for a 25% minimum tax on the annual income of taxpayers with wealth of more than $100 million — a wealth tax. If you’re a member of that cohort, lucky you. But at that level of affluence you don’t have grounds to complain about paying a minimum 25% of your annual income.

Maybe you agree with Harris that it is time to stick it to the ultra-wealthy.

Okay, but what is going to happen when lots of them decide to move out of the United States because they don’t want their unrealized gains taxed?

As Chicago venture investor Robert Nelson has pointed out, this proposal would have very serious consequences for our economy…

Taxing unrealized gains is truly the most insane, economy destroying, innovation killing, market crashing, retirement fund decimating, unconstitutional idea, which was probably planted by Russia or China to destroy the economy. Dems need to run away from this wildly stupid idea.

Many of the ultra-wealthy were originally inclined to support Harris.

Why is she seemingly intent on driving them away?

So far, I have just discussed two of the elements of the plan that Harris has endorsed.  There are quite a few others that are also very troubling…

• Having small business owners pay taxes on their individual tax returns, up to 39.6 percent from the current 37 percent
• Imposing a second “death tax” — a mandatory capital gains tax at death — in addition to the current death tax
• Imposing a 21 percent global minimum corporate tax rate, which goes beyond the Organization for Economic Development’s (OECD) current 15 percent global minimum tax rate
• Quadrupling the tax on stock buybacks, which would impact Americans’ 401(k)s and other retirement accounts
• A 30 percent federal excise tax on electricity used in cryptocurrency mining
• A $37 billion tax on American energy
• A 32 percent increase in Medicare taxes

This is insane.

The federal government does not have a revenue problem.

Right now, the federal government is bringing in about 5 trillion dollars a year.

What the federal government has is a spending problem.

We are trying to live way beyond our means, but the American people just keep sending the same big spenders back to Washington.

We are literally in the process of committing national suicide, and I really wish that I could get more people to understand that.

The national debt has surged past the 35 trillion dollar mark, and it continues to rise at a pace of more than 200 million dollars an hour.

Our federal government is the largest government in the entire history of our planet, and if #ComradeKamala gets into the White House it will inevitably get even larger.

Is Donald Trump about to get the key endorsement that he needs to win the presidency?  There have been a lot of twists and turns this election season, and now there has been another one.  It is being reported that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will drop out of the race on Friday and officially endorse Trump.  In such a close race, this endorsement could potentially make a world of difference.  Some recent polls have shown Trump with a narrow lead, but other recent polls have shown Kamala Harris with a narrow lead.  If RFK Jr. can deliver a bump of even a couple of percentage points for Trump, that would be huge.

At this moment, RFK Jr. is not publicly confirming anything.  But ABC News and NBC News have both spoken to “anonymous sources” that say that RFK Jr. will definitely drop out and endorse Trump on Friday…

Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. plans to exit the presidential race Friday and endorse GOP nominee Donald Trump, according to ABC News and NBC News citing anonymous sources.

If you go to his official campaign website, you will see that Kennedy is scheduled to address the country about “his path forward” on Friday morning…

Interestingly, Trump is also scheduled to be in Phoenix on Friday.

Do you think that this is just a coincidence?

Of course not.

According to ABC News, there is a possibility that Kennedy could appear on stage at Trump’s event on Friday night, but nothing has been “finalized” at this point…

One possible scenario being discussed is for Kennedy to appear on stage with Trump at an event in Phoenix on Friday, though the sources cautioned that Kennedy’s thinking could always change and sources close to Trump say no plan for Friday is finalized.

This is a truly stunning development.

On Wednesday, JD Vance confirmed that there has been a lot of communication between Kennedy’s campaign and Trump’s campaign…

Trump’s running mate, Sen. JD Vance of Ohio, said in an interview Wednesday that “there’s been a lot of communication back and forth” between Kennedy and his campaign.

“I haven’t spoken to RFK personally, but I know there’s been a lot of communication back and forth between RFK, between the campaign, between this campaign,” Vance said. “Look, our argument to RFK, and I’ll make it right now, because, of course, he hasn’t dropped out yet, is, look: If you want a Democratic Party that protected American workers and stood for strong borders, maybe disagreed with Republicans on things like tax policy, that party doesn’t exist anymore.”

Apparently there are three prominent individuals that have been key in persuading Kennedy to endorse Trump.

According to NBC News, those three individuals are Donald Trump Jr., Tucker Carlson, and a very wealthy donor named Omeed Malik…

Persuading Kennedy to back Trump has been an ongoing project of Trump’s eldest son, Donald Jr., former Fox News host Tucker Carlson and wealthy donor Omeed Malik, according to a source familiar with the efforts who requested anonymity to divulge internal campaign deliberations. The three men have worked behind the scenes in meetings and calls with both principals to negotiate Kennedy’s exit and endorsement, the source said.

Ultimately, this is how the game is played.

It is all about making deals, and Trump is about to make one of the most important deals that he has ever made.

One of the reasons why Kennedy may be making a move now is because his campaign has just about run out of money…

Kennedy’s campaign appeared to be running out of money, according to Federal Election Commission filings published earlier this week. At the end of last month, Kennedy’s campaign owed close to $3.5 million and had only $3.9 million on hand.

Kennedy could stay in the race and run up enormous debts, but at this point it has become clear that he has no path to victory.

Sadly, it takes a ton of money to run for office these days, and that is particularly true if you are trying to run for president.

So what will the race look like going forward?

Many conservatives are convinced that Kennedy’s endorsement will be an enormous boost for Trump.  For example, Darren Beattie believes that Kennedy’s endorsement could give Trump an “immediate” two or three percentage point bump in the polls in all of the swing states…

If this is true, it’s a game-changer. Insiders believe it could upend the race, giving President Trump an immediate two- to three-point bump in all swing states, with even more growth down the road. Now, imagine RFK Jr. hitting the campaign trail for Trump—that would be huge.

On the other hand, many on the left are trying to downplay the impact that Kennedy’s endorsement is going to have on the race.  The following comes from the Washington Post…

Perhaps the most important point of consideration here, again, is that there simply aren’t that many Kennedy supporters. If Trump picks up fully half of them, it adds a few points to his national support and, according to 538’s average, still has him trailing Harris. Making the announcement Friday might be an effort to step on any improvement Harris sees from the convention but, it’s not as though Kennedy has a big base or is viewed with broad favorability by Americans. (Among those with an opinion, he’s viewed more negatively than positively by a six-point margin in 538’s average.)

So who is right?

We will just have to wait and see.

At this stage, we are looking at a very close race.

According to Time Magazine, this election will be decided by just seven ultra-important swing states.

Those swing states are Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona and Nevada.

Hundreds of millions of dollars will be poured into those states, and much of the rest of the nation will be pretty much ignored.

Both sides feel like the stakes couldn’t be any higher, and it is literally going to feel like the end of the world for whichever side loses.

Personally, I am entirely convinced that there will be far more chaos after election day than before it.

We truly are moving into uncharted territory, and I don’t think that our country is ready to handle what is about to happen.

Every month, it is almost always the same story.  The government releases a number that indicates that the U.S. economy has been creating plenty of “jobs”, and then later on that number is dramatically revised lower.  But by the time it is revised lower, nobody really cares anymore.  The fake numbers that are initially released month after month have given the American people the impression that the economy is performing far better than it actually is.  Now we are about to get another major revision to the employment numbers which only happens once per year…

Once a year, the BLS benchmarks the March payrolls level to a more accurate but less timely data source called the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages, which is based on state unemployment insurance tax records and covers nearly all US jobs. The release of the latest QCEW report in June already hinted at weaker payroll gains last year.

On Wednesday, everyone is expecting that we will be told that hundreds of thousands of fake “jobs” that were originally reported never actually existed at all…

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and Wells Fargo & Co. economists expect the government’s preliminary benchmark revisions on Wednesday to show payrolls growth in the year through March was at least 600,000 weaker than currently estimated — about 50,000 a month.

While JPMorgan Chase & Co. forecasters see a decline of about 360,000, Goldman Sachs indicates it could be as large as a million.

Why don’t they just try to give us an accurate number in the first place?

By now, everybody pretty much realizes that the initial monthly employment numbers are usually grossly overstated.

So why not just tell us the truth?

Of course telling us the truth would destroy the carefully crafted illusions that they have worked so hard to create.

Even though large corporations are conducting mass layoffs all over the nation, we are supposed to believe that everything is just fine.

Unfortunately, we have reached a point where even the official government numbers are starting to show signs of trouble.  It takes about 150,000 new jobs each month just to keep up with population growth, and the initial number that we were given for last month was well below that level…

Employers added 114,000 jobs last month, which was far below the Dow Jones estimate of 185,000.

The unemployment rate also edged higher to 4.3 percent – the highest level since October 2021.

It should be obvious to everyone that more Americans are unemployed these days.

In fact, most of you probably know someone personally that is looking for a new job right now.

According to a survey that was recently conducted by the New York Federal Reserve, an all-time record high 28.4 percent of all U.S. adults are currently looking for work…

The New York Federal Reserve’s latest poll of consumers found 28.4% of respondents were looking for a job — the highest reading since March 2014 and up from 19.4% a year ago. That includes both individuals already out of a job and ones currently employed but seeking new roles.

The readings, from the New York Fed’s thrice-annual Survey of Consumer Expectations Labor Market Survey, add to evidence that the U.S. economic outlook is worsening, even as some economists dial back their odds of a recession.

A 9 percent increase in one year is absolutely terrible.

Why aren’t more people talking about this?

We are definitely moving in the wrong direction very rapidly, and many are concerned that this could have troubling implications for the financial markets.  If the employment revision that we get on Wednesday is large enough, it could potentially spark another round of selling on Wall Street…

While the stock market has now recovered, a data revision showing a large decline could reignite fears that the economy is headed for a downturn.

‘Markets, having recently experienced a growth scare that led to concerns that the Fed is behind the curve, will be monitoring Wednesday’s release of the benchmark revision to see if the market’s initial reaction was, in fact, correct,’ Quincy Krosby, chief global strategist at LPL Financial, told Bloomberg.

It is getting very difficult for even the most blind optimists to deny where things are heading.

The Conference Board’s index of leading economic indicators has been falling for 29 months in a row.

You would think that just about everyone would be getting the message by now.

At the same time that economic activity is slowing down, most Americans are finding it increasingly difficult to make ends meet due to our seemingly endless cost of living crisis.

According to a brand new survey that was just released, 82 percent of Americans believe that “their money does not go as far as it used to”…

A growing number of Americans are pumping the brakes on spending as they continue to face elevated prices for everyday necessities like food, rent and auto insurance.

New findings published by Empower show that 62% of Americans feel their purchasing power and income in relation to prices is decreasing due to persistent inflation. Another 82% said their money does not go as far as it used to. Additionally, 79% of respondents noted that many household goods like cereal and chips are dwindling in terms of serving sizes.

Our standard of living has been going down.

Everyone can see that.

Most Americans don’t even realize that virtually all of their personal information has been stolen and posted online for free.  The personal records of 2.9 billion people were stolen from a major data broker known as National Public Data earlier this year, and this month almost of the information that was stolen was posted online for anyone to freely take.  We are talking about names, addresses, phone numbers, employment histories, birth dates and Social Security numbers.  This is one of the most egregious privacy violations in the history of the world, but hardly anyone knows what has happened.  So please share this article as widely as you possibly can.

USA Today is reporting that the original theft of this data occurred “in or around April 2024″…

An enormous amount of Social Security numbers and other sensitive information for millions of people could be in the hands of a hacking group after a data breach and may have been released on an online marketplace, The Los Angeles Times reported this week.

The hacking group USDoD claimed it had allegedly stolen personal records of 2.9 billion people from National Public Data, according to a class-action lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, reported by Bloomberg Law. The breach was believed to have happened in or around April 2024, according to the lawsuit.

The company that this data was stolen from is a Florida-based background check company known as National Public Data.  The following is what Wikipedia has to say about this particular firm…

Jerico Pictures, Inc., doing business as National Public Data[1][2] is a data broker company that performs employee background checks. Their primary service is collecting information from public data sources, including criminal records, addresses, and employment history, and offering that information for sale.

Of course there are hordes of other data brokers out there these days.

They collect vast troves of information on as many people as they possibly can, and then they monetize that information in various ways.

Equifax, Epsilon and Acxiom are the three largest data brokers in existence today.  Each one of them brings in more than 2 billion dollars of revenue annually.

As you can see, collecting and selling our personal information is very big business.

And when one of these data brokers gets hacked, it is a major disaster for all of us.

One member of the hacking group that stole this data claims to have “the full NPD database”…

Last week, a purported member of USDoD identified only as Felice told the hacking forum that they were offering “the full NPD database,” according to a screenshot taken by BleepingComputer. The information consists of about 2.7 billion records, each of which includes a person’s full name, address, date of birth, Social Security number and phone number, along with alternate names and birth dates, Felice claimed.

How much damage could criminals do to your life if they had your name, address, phone number, employment history, date of birth and Social Security number?

You might want to think about that.

According to a law firm that is involved in litigation over this matter, a total of 277.1 gigabytes of data were stolen…

The class-action law firm Schubert, Jonckheer & Kolbe said in a press release that the stolen file includes 277.1 gigabytes of data, and includes names, address histories, relatives and Social Security numbers dating back at least three decades.

According to a post from a cybersecurity expert on X, formerly Twitter, USDoD claims to be selling the 2.9 billion records for citizens of the U.S., U.K. and Canada on the dark web for $3.5 million.

You may not want anyone to know where you were living 30 years ago.

But now just about anyone can easily find out, because the vast majority of the information that was stolen has been posted online for free…

About four months after a notorious hacking group claimed to have stolen an extraordinary amount of sensitive personal information from a major data broker, a member of the group has reportedly released most of it for free on an online marketplace for stolen personal data.

The breach, which includes Social Security numbers and other sensitive data, could power a raft of identity theft, fraud and other crimes, said Teresa Murray, consumer watchdog director for the U.S. Public Interest Research Group.

“If this in fact is pretty much the whole dossier on all of us, it certainly is much more concerning” than prior breaches, Murray said in an interview. “And if people weren’t taking precautions in the past, which they should have been doing, this should be a five-alarm wake-up call for them.”

Read that last paragraph again.

An entire dossier on your life is just sitting out there, and virtually anyone that has a vendetta against you can access it.

So what can we do to protect ourselves?

Some experts are encouraging people to make certain that their antivirus programs are up to date.  I think that is definitely a good idea, but I don’t know how that will protect anyone from information that has already been stolen.

It is also being suggested that people should update their passwords.  Needless to say, this is something that everyone should be doing on a regular basis anyway.

In the weeks and months ahead, keeping a close eye on your credit report will be important.  If your identity is being used by someone, you don’t want that to go unchecked for very long or else your credit could be ruined.

But ultimately there is not much that you can do to keep nefarious individuals from accessing personal information that is being freely copied and passed around the Internet.

To a very large degree, the damage has already been done.

It is being projected that cybercrime will cost the world 10.5 trillion dollars annually by the year 2025.

Just like everywhere else in our society, there are vast hordes of predators on the Internet that are relentlessly searching for new victims, and this is yet another sign that our society is in an extremely advanced stage of decay.

We should have never allowed ourselves to become so dependent on the Internet, but there is no going back now.

Big Pharma has been working with the World Health Organization to reorganize the drug market in a way that reduces regulatory barriers to forcing populations to undergo health interventions any time the WHO sees fit to declare a pandemic.

Journalist Max Jones recently investigated the new strategy, which will help the pharmaceutical industry protect its profits as a number of its top-selling drugs are poised to lose their patent protection in the coming years. With as much as $180 billion in sales at stake, they’re scrambling to find a new source of revenue – and biologics could be their meal ticket if they can get the regulatory pieces in place to support them.

The WHO’s revisions to the International Health Regulations (IHR) are set up with this goal in mind. When you consider the fact that WHO gets 80% of its funding from private stakeholders, it makes perfect sense that they’d be so willing to support them.

There are four main components to the plan for Big Pharma to secure the emerging pandemic market with help from the WHO and its recently passed amendments to the IHR and its proposed pandemic treaty.

Biosurveillance of “pathogens with pandemic potential”

The World Health Organization has already started to call on its member states to set up infrastructure for carrying out biosurveillance on their populations, with private WHO stakeholders like the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation already funding these initiatives.

Facilitating the sharing of research and data

The IHR amendments dictate that the director general of the World Health Organization will support countries in their research and development and facilitate data sharing during a pandemic, which could help to coordinate responses to outbreaks and methods of prevention.

This, Jones points out, also means working together to share data about diseases that they claim are “likely to cause epidemics on the future” – which could really be anything if they deem it convenient and profitable. Indeed, the same global organizations that are working with the WHO will likely do this research and develop associated vaccines and then profit from them.

Developing new regulatory mechanisms

The World Health Organization is also seeking ways to make it easier for unapproved medical products to hit the market during a so-called emergency or pandemic, much like what happened with the experimental COVID-19 vaccines. There is also a provision in the proposed treaty to ensure member countries have “legal, administrative and financial frameworks in place to support emergency regulatory authorizations for the effective and timely approval of pandemic-related health products during a pandemic.”

Paving the way for worldwide mandates of unapproved products

Finally, the Big Pharma – WHO plan seeks to establish a system that will allow for unapproved products to be mandated around the world. This could function in a similar manner to the vaccine passports adopted during the COVID-19 pandemic that may not have been absolute requirements but served to exclude people and restrict their freedoms for not complying with vaccine mandates. It’s worth remembering that the WHO is also working on its Global Digital Health Certification Network to digitize people’s health and vaccine records.

“Verification systems of this size will place the right of citizens to do basic activities — like traveling, eating at a restaurant or working their job — in the hands of governments and potentially employers,” Jones warned.

“The rights of civilians will be conditional, dictated by data stored in a massive digital hub that is global in its sharing abilities. Not only will domestic governments have access to the health information of their own citizens under this system, but an entire global bureaucracy will as well,” he added.

“The great Nantucket experiment gets an F-minus,” Kevin O’Leary, chairman of O’Leary Ventures, told Bloomberg, referring to the offshore turbine failure that resulted in broken fiberglass littering the pristine beaches of Nantucket last month. The turbine is part of the offshore Vineyard Wind project.

O’Leary continued, “It’s not a golden example of success in wind turbines, that’s for sure.”

The federal government ordered Vineyard Wind’s project south of Nantucket last month to halt construction and electricity generation following the blade malfunction.

The company managing the project determined the turbine blade failure was due to a “manufacturing deviation,” adding that before energy can be produced, all blades across the project will be inspected with ultrasound technology and drones, reported local media CapeCod.

Vineyard Wind CEO Klaus Møller stated, “We believe we have the right plan in place to recover the rest of the blade, secure any debris offshore and onshore, and safely and responsibly resume the installation program so we can put this project back on track to deliver needed clean power to the New England region.”

Nantucket is merely a casualty of the Biden-Harris administration’s push to ‘greenify’ the US economy with unreliable wind and solar. The admin has pledged to develop 30 gigawatts of offshore wind by 2030.

Now community leaders on the small island, home to some of Biden’s wealthy Democrat donors, plan to renegotiate the island’s “good neighbor” agreement with Vineyard Wind, according to Bloomberg.

Gabriel Frasca, chef and part owner of Straight Wharf Restaurant on the island, said the offshore wind power project sounds like a great idea in a vacuum, but this “well-intentioned idea” has “calamitous, unintended consequences.”

The Biden-Harris administration pitched the American people that green energy was desperately needed to defeat ‘climate change’ and that these green projects would yield beneficial returns. We’re all glad Harris wasn’t the ‘Green Czar’… However, Democrats didn’t explain any consequences of broken blades and entirely left out that this type of power generation is unreliable if the wind doesn’t blow. Also, for solar, if the sun doesn’t shine, where does the power come from?

For Nantucket residents, the consequence of greenifying the power grid was at the expense of fiberglass shards.

Pat McEvoy, managing director at Canaccord Genuity and Nantucket resident, said the green energy push offshore “was jammed down our throats by the federal government.” He added, “We were not represented in this process.”

Even after the blade failure, Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey told Bloomberg on Monday, “We need to do everything we can to transition away from fossil fuels and we’ve got a huge asset resource just sitting out there in the ocean.”

Again, the view Democrats have in building out green projects is irrational because they are blinded by their ‘climate alarmist’ beliefs. Closing down coal and NatGas power generators for unreliable renewable energy is disastrous for power grids, especially when AI data centers, electric vehicles, and reshoring trends increase load demand.

Will some white liberal women finally change their minds on ‘green’ energy?

Time is running out for the state of California.  Scientists are telling us that “the Big One” is way overdue, but most people living in California don’t seem to care.  Every once in a while there is a “reminder” that they live in earthquake country, and those “reminders” seem to be coming a lot more frequently these days.  Two weeks ago, a magnitude 4.9 earthquake hit southern California, but that was quickly forgotten.  One week ago, a magnitude 5.2 earthquake hit southern California, but that was quickly forgotten as well.  This week, southern California has been shaken by a magnitude 4.4 earthquake, but this one will soon be forgotten too…

A magnitude 4.4 earthquake rumbled underneath Los Angeles at 12:20 p.m. Monday, less than a week after a bigger one jolted much of Southern California.

The U.S. Geological Survey placed the epicenter of Monday’s quake near the Highland Park neighborhood in the city’s northeast and three miles from Pasadena, site of the New Year’s Day Rose Parade. The quake was felt at least as far west as the San Fernando Valley and as far south as Orange County.

Some news outlets are reporting that this quake could be felt as far away as San Diego.

When it occurred, Alexi Lalas was right in the middle of his podcast…

A medical building also shook and inhabitants said glasses and dishes rattled in many places, while former USMNT star Alexi Lalas was hosting his ‘State of the Union’ podcast when the earthquake hit.

‘Ooh we just had a earthquake… damn, that was a big one,’ Lalas said before asking if everyone on his production was ‘good’ and claiming ‘that was big.’

It was definitely a big quake.

But soon everyone will forget it.

I just don’t understand why more people are not taking these quakes seriously.

Interestingly, this earthquake happened on the very first day of school for the Los Angeles Unified School District…

It struck on the first school day for the Los Angeles Unified School District. At least one high school, John Marshall in Los Feliz, alerted parents that they had evacuated the buildings to check for damage, but didn’t see any immediately.

Can you imagine sitting there and your entire classroom starts to rattle?

This new quake has struck less than a week after a magnitude 5.2 earthquake in another area of southern California was quickly followed by 277 aftershocks…

Last Tuesday, a magnitude 5.2 earthquake and a swarm of aftershocks in farmland almost 90 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles didn’t do much damage but did send the fire department’s 106 stations into earthquake mode, triggering a land, sea and air survey.

More than 277 aftershocks to the Aug. 6 quake, the largest in Southern California in three years, included two with a magnitude of 4 or greater.

And the week before that a magnitude 4.9 earthquake hit an area near Barstow…

That shake followed a little over a week after a 4.9-magnitude temblor struck to the East of Barstow and was also felt throughout much of Southern California.

When the giant ball of fire that our planet revolves around is very active, we tend to experience more seismic activity.

Unfortunately, solar activity is likely to remain at very high levels for the next couple of years…

We are in a period known as solar maximum, in an 11-year cycle of the sun when increased solar activity erupts.

Every 11 years or so, the Sun’s magnetic field flips completely, with the Sun’s north and south poles switching places, according to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Solar maximum happens in the middle of the cycle.

Space weather activity and things like this are more likely to happen through the remainder of 2024, through 2025 and even into 2026, Dahl said.

That is certainly not good news.

And scientists openly admit that “the Big One” is definitely overdue…

Paleoseismologists expect big ones to occur there every 150 to 200 years, Greg Beroza, a Stanford professor and a co-director of the Southern California Earthquake Center, told me: “We’re overdue.” Teams of scientists have been trying to improve on that chillingly vague forecast, he said, so that the quake’s arrival can be predicted days, weeks, or even months ahead of time—but there is no guarantee that they’ll succeed.

The Northridge quake in 1994 was not a “Big One”.  In fact, it wasn’t even close.

When “the Big One” finally arrives, it is going to cause a monumental amount of damage.

One team of scientists that has studied this has concluded that “the Big One” could literally “plunge large parts of California into the sea almost instantly”…

The Big One may be overdue to hit California, but scientists near LA have found a new risk for the area during a major earthquake.

They claim that if a major tremor hits the area, it could plunge large parts of California into the sea almost instantly.

The discovery was made after studying the Newport-Inglewood fault, which has long been believed to be one of Southern California’s danger zones.

I know that I have covered this before.

But I am going to cover it again, because this is important.

Cal State Fullerton professor Matt Kirby says that when “the Big One” finally hits, land on the western side of a major fault line could suddenly drop by up to three feet and if that happened it would allow water from the Pacific Ocean to come flooding in…

The study showed that land within major Californian seismic faults could sink by 1.5 and three feet instantly.

The last known major quake occurred on the San Andreas fault in 1857.

Seismologists estimate the 800 mile-long San Andreas, which runs most of the length of the state, should see a large quake roughly every 150 years.

‘It´s something that would happen relatively instantaneously,’ Kirby said.

‘Probably today if it happened, you would see seawater rushing in.’
