If you’d rather be out hunting as soon as you can, having a few tips up your sleeve on staying cool in the summer will come in handy in having a productive hunt. Here is what to keep in mind.

Sure Fire Tips on Staying Cool In the Summer When Hunting

Hunt In the Shade

This is a no-brainer. Besides making hunting more effortless and enjoyable, it saves you from the hazardous effects of standing in scorching weather. Hunting in hot weather increases your energy consumption leading to sweat and therefore scents that are likely to throw off deer and other animals.

To avoid this, try a tree canopy or a tree stand. However, keep in mind that you will need to adjust your position since the sun changes angles as the day passes. Better yet, you can opt for a DIY or high-quality pre-made hunting blind. Either option will provide you with a consistent shade and offer floor space for accessories to make your hunt more comfortable.

Tip: Here, you can bring along a pressure relief chair, a drinks cooler, and insect repellant.

Minimize Your Layers

Many hunters make the mistake of wearing too many layers when hunting in summer. As a result, you become exhausted and sweaty, which affects your ability to meet your bag limit. However, a base layer will be more than enough during hot weather as long as you steer clear of short sleeves and shorts.

Besides having an excellent wicking system, high-quality long sleeves and long pants will help keep harmful UVA and UVB rays off your skin. And keep bug bites at a minimum. If you must wear short-sleeve T-shirts and shorts, be sure to pack some sunscreen and bug repellant.

A wide-brim hat or a light, breathable gaiter will help protect your head and neck from direct sunlight. Polarized sunglasses will also come in handy.

Stay Hydrated

Staying hydrated during a hunting trip helps keep headaches and fatigue at bay, thereby allowing you to hunt longer. In such hot weather, you don’t have to wait until you are thirsty to hydrate. A few sips now and then will maintain your hydration levels.

Pack more bottles of ice water than you need to sip on throughout the day. Better still, consider a backpack with an internal bladder system for a more compact carriage.

Tip: Sports drinks or fruit juices make great mid-hunt snacks to keep your electrolytes in check.

Control Your Scent

Controlling your sweat and hence scent has to be the hardest thing to do when hunting in summer. Luckily for you, there are numerous products and tools in the market today to help you be sweat-free and therefore eliminate your scent.

Liberally spray your clothes with a scent-eliminating spray before you start hunting and top up as much as you need throughout the day. Besides fighting off your natural scent, the spray will also help you stay cool.

Scent eliminating wipes are also a great alternative if you do not want to use the sprays. They are great for your neck, face and other exposed parts. Don’t shy away from packing a little more than you need. If anything, they are compact hence easy to carry around.

Practice Moderation

It is normal to want to hit your bag limit during every hunting session. However, overexerting yourself will lead to increased body temperature due to the loss of water and electrolytes. This increases your risk of suffering heatstroke, which can be fatal.

To be on the safe side, avoid unnecessary energy consumption, pace yourself, and prepare yourself adequately. Remember, hunting should be more fun than it is draining.

Keep in mind that deer and other game animals are experiencing summer the same way you are. Like humans, the animals will also be taking it easy to conserve their energy. Take advantage of their predictable behavior and set up close to their bedding and drinking spots to increase your chances of reaching your bag limit without having to overexert yourself.

Last month, Environmental Working Group published a list of sunscreens that are safe to use.  Many popular brands, including some from Johnson & Johnson, weren’t on it.  Now J&J is recalling 5 of its products.

Johnson & Johnson Recalls Select Neutrogena and Aveeno Sunscreens Due to Benzene Levels

Johnson & Johnson is recalling five of its Neutrogena and Aveeno aerosol sunscreen products due to low levels of benzene, a chemical that can cause cancer with repeated exposure.

On Wednesday, the company issued a statement announcing a voluntary recall and urged consumers to discard the products if they had already purchased them. The Neutrogena aerosol sunscreens that have been recalled are the Beach Defense, Cool Dry Sport Invisible Daily and Ultra Sheer varieties, in addition to Aveeno’s Protect + Refresh spray sunscreen.

Consumers can receive a refund by calling Johnson & Johnson’s Consumer Care Center at at 1-800-458-1673.

“While benzene is not an ingredient in any of our sunscreen products, it was detected in some samples of the impacted aerosol sunscreen finished products,” the pharmaceutical giant said of internal testing. “We are investigating the cause of this issue, which is limited to certain aerosol sunscreen products.”

A human carcinogen, benzene can potentially cause cancer depending on the level and extent of exposure.

Is something very unusual happening to our world?  Hundreds of giant sinkholes have been suddenly appearing all over the globe, and this is deeply alarming a lot of people.  For months, I have been coming across news stories about giant sinkholes during my daily research sessions, and at first I ignored them.  But lately there have been so many stories about giant sinkholes that I decided to start looking into this phenomenon.  Of course there have always been sinkholes, and so it isn’t a shock when one suddenly appears somewhere.  In many cases, they are caused by heavy rain, broken water pipes or earthquakes.  But what is different about 2021 is the fact that hundreds and hundreds of absolutely enormous sinkholes have been suddenly appearing all over the globe.  Is this just a “bad year”, or is this an indication that something truly strange is happening to the crust of our planet?

Let me start by talking about a giant sinkhole that just keeps growing in Mexico.  It is now 124 meters wide, and it has already swallowed a house and two dogs…

Back in May, a farm in Mexico started developing a sinkhole that has since caused the evacuation of a family living in a nearby house, the collapse of that same house and a rescue operation for two dogs that, like the house, were swallowed up in the sinkhole.

As of this past weekend, the sinkhole — on farmland in Santa Maria Zacatepec, located in Central Mexico in the state of Puebla — had grown to 124 meters wide, according to Ary News.

By itself, that sinkhole in Mexico would not be that big of a deal.

But this sort of a thing is happening all over the globe.  For example, a 17-year-old kid recently discovered a sinkhole that is 200 feet deep in his grandfather’s field that literally developed in just one night…

The night before, he’d been walking in the area, and he said there was no indication of the geologic disturbance. But the next morning, he says he nearly fell into the hole. Had he done so, tragedy would have resulted as the sinkhole is 9 feet across and roughly 200 feet deep.

It’s not an isolated occurrence in the Konya province. Several sinkholes have appeared there in recent years. Most notably, a monstrous 57,414 square-foot (10 miles!) chasm that revealed ancient human cave dwellings.

Of course most Americans couldn’t care less about what happens on the other side of the world, and so let me give you some examples from right here in the United States.

On Sunday, two vehicles fell into a large sinkhole that suddenly appeared in a key section of Manhattan…

Two vehicles got stuck in a sinkhole after the part of the street they were parked on collapsed underneath them in Manhattan Sunday.

It was discovered around 10:30 a.m. on Riverside Drive near its intersection with 97th Street on the Upper West Side.

Elsewhere in New York, a sinkhole that is 8 feet deep recently appeared right in the middle of a family’s lawn in Nassau County…

A family in Nassau County says they’re getting the runaround from the city and their insurance company after an 8-foot deep sinkhole appeared in their driveway following a period of heavy rain.

When David Moultrie came home from work on Saturday, he says he couldn’t believe what he saw in his Elmont driveway: a gaping hole right in his front lawn.

Down in Florida, hundreds and hundreds of sinkholes have been developing in recent months.

In fact, so many sinkholes have been developing in Florida that the state government maintains a regularly updated map that shows where all of them are.  You can view an example of this map right here.

That map definitely does not look “normal” to me.

But in today’s world, is anything “normal” anymore?

Across the Atlantic, scientists have been quite puzzled by what has been going on in Croatia.  Toward the end of 2020, a very large sinkhole suddenly swallowed a garden in a little town known as Meenani…

Just before the new year in 2021, the earth in a quiet area of Croatia began to act oddly. A near-perfectly round hole sprang out of nowhere in a garden in Meenani, a hamlet 40 kilometers (24 miles) from Croatia’s capital city of Zagreb, measuring 30 meters (98 feet) broad and 15 meters (49 feet) deep.

Since that time, dozens of other very large sinkholes have started to appear in the region.

In fact, at this point there are “as many as 100 sinkholes in and around the two communities”…

More and more of these huge holes appeared in Meenani and its adjacent village Borojevii during the next few weeks. According to the Croatian Geological Institute, at least 54 totally collapsed sinkholes of various sizes had been documented by the end of January.

According to an AFP report from March, there may have been as many as 100 sinkholes in and around the two communities. Some of the holes appeared in remote areas, while many others appeared within yards from people’s homes. A few were discovered snuggled beneath homes, causing bricks to collapse and structure fractures to emerge.

But I am sure that this is nothing to be concerned about, right?

I’ll be perfectly honest with you.  I have no idea why all of these sinkholes are appearing, but I would like to find out.

Because there doesn’t seem to be anywhere on the globe that is completely immune from this phenomenon, and that includes the Holy City.  As I was doing research earlier today, I came across a story about a massive sinkhole that just opened up right in the heart of Jerusalem itself…

Security footage shows three cars falling straight into the sinkhole. It is still unknown if there were people inside, though police later added that the likelihood of people getting stuck is low.

Due to concerns over another collapse, the area has been declared a danger zone, and the building has been cordoned off. Additionally, traffic has been cleared out and blocked in the area around the hospital.

In recent months, I have written a lot about the bizarre changes that appear to be happening to our planet, but until now I have been ignoring all of the giant sinkholes that have been popping up.

From now on, this is a story that I want to focus on a lot more, because I think that these sinkholes tie into the larger picture somehow.

I don’t have all of the answers at the moment, but I am going to keep digging.

The secret project that I have been working on for so many months is finally done.  You may have noticed that I have not been posting quite as many articles as usual in recent weeks, and that is because I was finishing work on my new book.  It is entitled “7 Year Apocalypse”, and just like some of my other books it is likely to generate a tremendous amount of controversy in the Christian community.  A lot of people are going to be greatly shaken by what they read in this book, and many will never look at the Book of Revelation the same way again after they are through with it.

The Bible has a great deal to say about the seven year period immediately preceding the return of Jesus Christ to this planet.  In our time, this seven year period is commonly known by titles such as “the Tribulation”, “the Great Tribulation”, “Daniel 70th week” and “the time of Jacob’s trouble”.  These seven years will be the most chaotic seven years in all of human history.  Jesus specifically warned us that there has never been a time like this before, and there will never be a time like it ever again.

And this is the generation that will experience it.

We are the Book of Revelation generation.

For years, people have asked me if I thought that the beginning of the Tribulation was close.  If you talk to anyone that has ever asked me that question, they will all tell you the same thing about what I said in response.  I always said that we weren’t at that point yet and that there were certain things that had to happen first.

Sometimes people would get upset with me when I answered that way, because it upset their pet theories about the end times.  But it was the truth.  There were many prophetic pieces that hadn’t moved into place yet, but in recent years we have seen those pieces shift into position one by one.

So now, for the very first time, my answer has to change.

The 7 Year Apocalypse is rapidly approaching, and it is going to be far more horrible than most people would dare to imagine.

Most people that are alive today will enter the 7 Year Apocalypse, and the vast majority of them will be dead by the time that it is over.

I am not saying this for shock value.  According to the Bible, this is the reality of what we are facing.

Words such as “cataclysmic” and “apocalyptic” don’t really fully capture what the world is going to experience during this period of time.  We are going to see death and destruction on a scale that will be unimaginable to most people.

But it will also be a time when God is doing absolutely amazing things.  God has a job for you to do, and He would not have put you at this time in history if He didn’t think that you could handle what is ahead.

You were strategically placed here for a reason, and the greatest chapters of your life can still be ahead of you.  But you have got to be willing to surrender your plans and embrace God’s plans instead.

The first half of the 7 Year Apocalypse is going to clearly demonstrate the futility of humanity’s attempts to run things without God in the picture.  In Matthew 24, Jesus warned us of some very specific things to watch for…

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Please notice that there won’t be just one “war”.  There will be multiple wars, and this includes the conflicts that I covered in Lost Prophecies Of The Future Of America.

Jesus also told us that there will be multiple “famines”, multiple “pestilences” and multiple “earthquakes”.

A lot of people were shocked when I warned that COVID will not be the last major pandemic that we will experience.  The thought of going through yet another pandemic is just too much for many people.  Of course it isn’t just one more pandemic that we will be facing.  According to Jesus, numerous “pestilences” are coming.

And “pestilences” are just one part of the overall cataclysmic scenario that will be unfolding all around us during these end times.

In this book, I show how many of the specific prophetic events that I have discussed in previous books and articles fit into the prophetic timeline described in the Book of Revelation.

One thing that even most Christians don’t realize is that the second half of the 7 Year Apocalypse is going to look vastly different from the first half.

During the second half, the Antichrist is going to get his shot to run the show, and it is going to be wilder than anything that any science fiction writer in Hollywood has ever dreamed up.

In the past, many books and movies have attempted to portray the Antichrist as some sort of bumbling politician that isn’t really very competent at much of anything.

Unfortunately, that isn’t even close to the truth.

In fact, much of what has been traditionally taught about the 7 Year Apocalypse is simply not accurate because it does not line up with what the Bible actually says.  After you have completed this book, you will understand exactly what I am talking about.

And of course the vast majority of the churches in the western world tend to avoid Bible prophecy altogether, and so most believers have had very little warning about what will soon happen to this planet.

As global events accelerate, Bible prophecy is all of a sudden going to become a very hot topic, and millions upon millions of people will be turning to the Bible for answers.

When that happens, we want to be able to provide those answers.

This book lays a foundation for what is to come in future books.  I plan to write books much more frequently from now on, because the events in the Book of Revelation will soon become a reality, but there are so few people out there that are accurately warning people about what lies ahead.

Even though the Bible has been warning us for nearly 2,000 years, most people are going to be absolutely blindsided by what is in front of us.

If you have enjoyed my previous books, you will love “7 Year Apocalypse”, and my hope is that it will encourage you to dig deep into what the Scriptures have to say about the end times.

But don’t keep this message to yourself.  Please give this book to your family, your friends, and anyone else who will listen.

I am trying to sound the alarm as loudly as I can, and I need your help.

We are quickly approaching the time in history when our world will go through a horrific series of cataclysms over a 7 year period, and billions of people will die as a result.

When we have reached our darkest moment and it seems like all hope is lost for humanity, Jesus Christ will make His triumphant return to this planet and will set everything right.

This is the most dramatic time in all of human history, and you get to be here for it.

Please get the book so that you can understand what is ahead.

What’s past is prologue, and everything is about to change.

Even in the midst of all the chaos and darkness that is coming, God is going to raise up His Remnant, and we are going to turn this world upside down for Jesus Christ.
