The Russians and the Chinese have both been developing new intercontinental ballistic missiles that can cause such immense destruction that they make the nuclear bomb that destroyed Hiroshima look like a child’s toy. The U.S. has been working on a new intercontinental ballistic missile too, but it won’t be ready for quite a few years. Unfortunately, we are closer to nuclear war right now than we have been at any other point in human history. In fact, we are extremely fortunate that the Russians didn’t decide to just start launching their nukes after Ukraine’s very foolish surprise attack on Russia’s nuclear bombers. If there had been a surprise attack on our nuclear bombers, we may not have shown the same level of restraint. We are literally teetering on the brink of the unthinkable, and it is so important for the general population to understand what we are facing.
According to a brand new report that was just released, in our world today there are more than 9,600 nuclear warheads that are ready to be used…
The number of nuclear warheads ready for use by nine countries has slightly increased from last year, reaching over 9,600 warheads, according to a Japanese think tank’s report.
Russia, the United States and China remain the world’s three largest countries in terms of the size of their nuclear arsenals.
As I have extensively documented, a full-blown nuclear war would be cataclysmic.
A large portion of the U.S. population would be immediately wiped out, and even more would die from famine during the subsequent nuclear winter.
Sadly, most of the population doesn’t even realize we just had a really close call.
President Trump’s envoy to Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, just explained to Fox News that Ukraine’s assault on Russia’s nuclear bombers resulted in risk levels “going way up”…
“I’m telling you, the risk levels are going way up – I mean, what happened this weekend,” Trump’s envoy, Keith Kellogg, told Fox News.
“People have to understand in the national security space: when you attack an opponent’s part of their national survival system, which is their triad, the nuclear triad, that means your risk level goes up because you don’t know what the other side is going to do. You’re not sure.”
Our continued existence literally depended on Russian President Vladimir Putin showing some restraint.
Fortunately, Putin didn’t press the button this time.
But do we really want to keep living on the edge like this?
We need to find a way to make peace while we still can.
Unfortunately, it appears that peace is slipping away. President Trump was just asked about imposing more sanctions on Russia, and he responded by saying that “we’ll be very, very tough” if Russia doesn’t end the war…
President Donald Trump was asked again on Thursday when he will make a decision regarding sanctions on Russia, which he’s threatened repeatedly over the past several weeks.
“It’s in my brain, the deadline,” Trump said. “When I see the moment where it’s not gonna stop … we’ll be very, very tough. And it could be on both countries, to be honest. It takes two to tango.”
Of course the Russians are in no mood to compromise after what the Ukrainians just did.
In fact, there are some voices in Russia that are calling for nuclear weapons to be used. Here is just one example…
The Kremlin’s recently updated nuclear doctrine – which sets out conditions for a launch – states that any attack on “critically important” military infrastructure which “disrupts response actions by nuclear forces” could trigger a nuclear retaliation.
The Ukrainian operation was “grounds for a nuclear attack,” declared Vladmir Solovyov, a firebrand host on Russian state TV, calling for strikes on the Ukrainian presidential office in Kyiv, and beyond.
Most people living in the western world don’t realize this, but the Russian “Satan-2” missiles are the most advanced nuclear missiles in the entire world…
Russia’s “Satan-2” missile, also known as the RS-28 Sarmat, has earned its infamous name from the West for its sheer destructive potential. This intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) is capable of carrying multiple nuclear warheads — up to 15-16 — and is capable of wiping out entire cities.
The updated RS-28 Sarmat missile, considered an advanced version of Satan-2, has an increased range of 13,000 to 16,000 kilometers, making it one of the most powerful missiles in Russia’s arsenal. This missile’s capacity to cause mass destruction is unparalleled, capable of obliterating several cities with a single strike.
One “Satan-2” missile can carry enough firepower to destroy an area roughly the size of the state of Texas.
Meanwhile, the Chinese have developed a new intercontinental ballistic missile that has a range of 7,500 miles…
China has revealed details of its new nuclear weapon which is said to be 200 times more powerful than the bombs that devastated Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The DF-5B missile is said to have a range of 7,500 miles, meaning it is capable of reaching Europe and the United States from launch sites in China.
Like Russia’s “Satan-2” missile, this new Chinese ICBM is capable of deploying multiple reentry vehicles…
Its Multiple Independently Targetable Reentry Vehicle (MIRV) technology enables a single missile to carry and release a number of nuclear warheads capable of striking different targets across a wide area.
The original DF-5 was equipped with only one warhead, but the DF-5B can reportedly carry up to 10, significantly boosting its strike capability.
We have no defense against such missiles.
If the Russians or the Chinese press the button, we will be toast.
According to Zero Hedge, the commander of Edwards Air Force Base recently warned that the local community needs to be prepared for the possibility of a catastrophic surprise attack…
Last month, the commander of Edwards Air Force Base, California, talked openly about the need for local leaders to prepare for a Pearl Harbor-like strike on his base and others inside the United States.
Brig. Gen. Doug Wickert delivered “a sobering assessment of China’s growing military capabilities” in a briefing to community leaders, according to an Air Force press release. Wickert, the 412th Test Wing commander, spoke at Antelope Valley College on May 7.
Edwards Air Force Base is located in the Mojave desert about 100 miles northeast of Los Angeles.
Wickert referenced the 1941 Pearl Harbor attack in his briefing, the press release said, drawing parallels to warnings about Pearl Harbor’s vulnerability prior to the attack.
As I have warned many times, U.S. military bases will be primary targets if a nuclear war erupts.
We are counting on our strategic nuclear arsenal to deter the Russians and the Chinese, but right now Minuteman missiles that originally went into service in the 1970s still form the backbone of that arsenal.
The new Sentinel intercontinental ballistic missile is in development, and preparations for their deployment are underway…
According to information published by the 5th Bomb Wing Public Affairs on May 30, 2025, the US Air Force officially launched preparations at its nuclear installations to accommodate the upcoming LGM-35A Sentinel intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM). The activation of a new specialized unit, the Sentinel Site Activation Task Force (SATAF) Detachment 12, at Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota marks a pivotal moment in the effort to replace the aging Minuteman III, which has served as the land-based pillar of the US nuclear triad since 1970. This initiative is part of a broader strategic modernization plan focusing on strengthening the ground-based leg of the nuclear deterrent force.
That is the good news.
The bad news is that it will be years before the new Sentinel intercontinental ballistic missile is ready…
The Sentinel program, originally designated as the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD), is designed to deliver a next-generation ICBM featuring advanced security technologies, cyber resilience, and modular architecture. Sentinel will be deployed in a single-warhead configuration, with initial fielding scheduled to begin in 2029. Until the new W87-1 warhead under development by the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) becomes available, the Sentinel will be armed with legacy W87-0 warheads. The NNSA is also scaling up its capability to produce 80 plutonium pits per year by 2030 to meet program requirements, having already qualified the first war reserve pit for the W87-1 in October 2024.
Until the Sentinel is in service, we will be at a serious disadvantage.

Yes, the S-500 air defense system is designed to intercept and destroy a wide range of aerial threats, including ballistic missiles like the Minuteman ICBM.
But we don’t have anything that can shoot down the new missiles that the Russians and the Chinese have developed.
So perhaps we shouldn’t be picking fights with the Russians and the Chinese while they are holding the upper hand.
Of course the vast majority of the population does not understand any of this, and that is extremely unfortunate.

Vladimir Putin, Russia’s ruler, has said what most of the rest of us were thinking. Ukraine is not interested in peace or any kind of peace deal that would secure a ceasefire agreement.
While speaking at a government meeting on Wednesday, Putin further claimed that Ukraine is trying to cling to power by subverting the peace process. Putin said the recent sabotage of railway infrastructure in Russia’s Bryansk and Kursk Regions was a deliberate strike on civilians intended to disrupt the negotiations. Both of the attacks came shortly before the second round of Russia-Ukraine talks in Istanbul and amid a surge in Kiev’s drone raids into Russia, which Moscow says are aimed at derailing attempts to reach a settlement in the conflict.
The two incidents occurred on Saturday evening and Sunday morning. In the Bryansk Region, a bridge collapsed in front of a moving passenger train. In the Kursk Region, a freight train derailed when a railway bridge gave way. In total, seven people died and over 120 were injured. –RT
During the meeting, Putin said that the attacks were most definitely the result of decisions made by Ukraine’s top political leadership, calling them “undoubtedly a terrorist act.”
Russia Accuses Ukraine Of Another Terrorist Attack
“This only confirms our concern that the already illegitimate regime in Kiev, which once seized power, is gradually turning into a terrorist organization, and its sponsors are becoming accomplices to terrorists,” Putin was quoted as saying by a report by RT. “Under all international norms, such actions are called terrorism,” Putin said.
Putin also accused Ukraine and its Western backers of changing tactics to try to beat Russia using terrorism, as losses to Kiev mount and conscripted soldiers flee in droves. “Today, amid heavy losses and retreating along the entire line of contact, the Kiev leadership has turned to organizing terrorist acts in an attempt to intimidate Russia,” Putin said.
Ukraine Orders Its Officers To “Capture” 12 Men A Day For Conscription
While questioning the competence of Ukraine’s ruling class, Putin said that Ukraine’s forces have suffered “senseless and enormous losses.”
“What kind of authority can the leaders of a thoroughly rotten and completely corrupt regime possess?” Putin added. “But how can such meetings be held under these conditions? What is there to talk about? Who conducts negotiations with those who rely on terror, with terrorists?”
Putin emphasized that “power, for the [Kiev] regime, is apparently more important than peace, more important than human lives.”

When you spend 30 trillion dollars that you do not have, it is easy to create an illusion of prosperity. In 1995, the nation was obsessed with the O.J. Simpson trial, “Toy Story” was the biggest movie of the year, the Sony Playstation made its debut in the United States, and Bill Clinton was in the White House. At that time, the U.S. national debt was right on the verge of crossing the 5 trillion dollar mark. Today, the U.S. national debt is sitting at 36.2 trillion dollars. That means that we have added more than 30 trillion dollars to the national debt in just 30 years.
So what did we get for 30 trillion dollars?
We got the greatest party in the history of the world.
Over the past three decades, we have been enjoying an obscenely inflated standard of living that we did not deserve.
When the government spends money, it provides a short-term boost to the economy. Those that get their hands on the money that the government spends end up using it to go shopping, repair their vehicles, eat at restaurants, etc.
If we could go back and pull 30 trillion dollars of extra government spending over the last 30 years out of the economy, we would be in a rip-roaring depression right now.
So for those of you that wish to avoid economic pain at all costs, you should thank our Congress critters for spending money like drunken sailors all these years.
But in the process, our leaders have destroyed America’s future.
We are broke, and we are absolutely drowning in debt.
The only way that we can meet our obligations is to go into ever larger amounts of debt.
Unfortunately, that cycle can only go on for so long before we reach a point where nobody wants to lend us money anymore.
If you have been paying attention to the bond market, you already know that there have been all sorts of red flags in 2025.
The clock is ticking. But instead of getting our spending under control, Congress seems determined to ramp our spending up to a much higher level…
The package of tax-and-spending measures sent to the Senate, now officially called the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, could act like budgetary wolf bait. It would add around $3 trillion to debt levels over the next decade compared with existing estimates and $5 trillion if certain temporary features were made permanent, according to the nonpartisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget.
For perspective, federal interest this fiscal year already will be more than the defense budget and more than Medicaid, disability insurance and food stamps combined.
If you are one of those that want to keep the party going for as long as possible, you probably support this bill.
But for those of us that want our children and grandchildren to actually have a future, we are absolutely horrified by what we are witnessing.
In fact, Elon Musk just called this bill a “disgusting abomination”…

Rand Paul has also spoken out against this bill, and he is right too.
What we have been doing to future generations of Americans over the past 30 years is beyond criminal.
It must stop.
If it doesn’t stop, it is just a matter of time before the entire system collapses.
We have been able to defy the laws of economics for many years, but now economic reality is catching up with us in a major way.
And even though we continue to spend giant mountains of money that we do not have, the illusion of prosperity that we have created is rapidly starting to crumble anyway.
This week, we learned that Disney is conducting “major layoffs”…
Major layoffs are underway Monday the Walt Disney Company, with several hundred employees impacted globally, Deadline has learned. The bulk of them are across divisions of Disney Entertainment, including marketing for both film and television as well as television publicity, casting and development. Also affected are Disney’s corporate financial operations.
Microsoft is even bigger than Disney, and they are conducting mass layoffs as well…
Microsoft Corp. cut hundreds more jobs just weeks after its largest layoff in years, underscoring the tech industry’s efforts to trim costs even as it plows billions of dollars into artificial intelligence.
More than 300 employees were told their positions had been eliminated on Monday, according to a Washington state notice reviewed by Bloomberg.
These latest layoffs by Microsoft are on top of the 6,000 job cuts that were revealed last month…
A Microsoft spokesperson said the latest headcount reduction is in addition to the 6,000 job cuts announced last month. “We continue to implement organizational changes necessary to best position the company for success in a dynamic marketplace,” the spokesperson said.
If you have a job that you value, hold on to it as tightly as you can, because a lot more people are going to be losing their jobs in the months ahead.
And that is really bad news, because we already have a major employment crisis in this country.
As I discussed the other day, nearly 1 out of every 4 Americans is “functionally unemployed” at this point.
Things are really tough out there right now.
In fact, things are so tough that Americans are eating meals at home at the highest level we have seen since the early days of the pandemic…
More Americans are cooking at home as growing economic concerns are forcing households to cut back, according to Campbell’s CEO Mick Beekhuizen.
Beekhuizen told analysts during the company’s third-quarter earnings call on Monday that consumer sentiment continued to soften throughout the quarter, with shoppers becoming even more deliberate about how they were spending money on food.
“A key outcome is a growing preference for home-cooked meals, leading to the highest levels of meals prepared at home since early 2020,” Beekhuizen said.
One way or another, we are going to have to take our medicine.
Either our leaders will have to get our financial house in order, or the bond market will force us to change.
But no matter how it plays out, nobody can deny that the party is ending.
It was fun while it lasted, but everybody knew that the wild spending would eventually have to come to an end.
Needless to say, the adjustment to our standard of living that we will soon experience will be exceedingly painful, and our society is not prepared for that at all.

Did you know that we just witnessed the largest decline in U.S. imports in the entire history of our nation last month? Unfortunately, things didn’t get any better this month. In fact, during the final week of May imports at major ports on the west coast are down by almost a third compared to last year. This is going to have a dramatic impact on our economy in the months ahead, and meanwhile a new crisis with China has just erupted. The Chinese have been caught violating their 90 day trade agreement with the United States, and President Trump is extremely upset about this. Of course the Chinese are extremely upset that President Trump is planning to increase arms sales to Taiwan. Both sides deeply distrust one another at this stage, and if things continue to deteriorate our relations with China could soon resemble a gigantic dumpster fire.
According to the Census Bureau, U.S. imports fell by 68.4 billion dollars in April…
Indeed, last month, imports declined by a whopping $68.4 billion, according to advanced trade data released by the Census Bureau on Friday. This came after retailers stocked up on goods in March, aiming to get ahead of tariffs. But the stunning decline in imports could mean retailers have less of an inventory buffer, leaving them less able to avoid paying future tariffs — and that could lead to price increases for US consumers.
“I think there was an expectation that all of a sudden everything would start coming in again. I don’t think you’ve seen that huge rush to bring everything in again because I think folks are still being cautious on how this is going to proceed,” said Jonathan Gold, vice president of supply chain and customs policy at the National Retail Federation.
A lot less stuff is coming into this country, and so there will be higher prices and thinner stock levels at U.S. retailers during the months ahead.
On a percentage basis, the decline in imports that we witnessed last month was the largest in the entire history of the United States…
BREAKING: US goods imports fall -19.8% in April as President Trump’s “reciprocal tariffs” effectively halted trade with many countries.
This marks the largest drop in history for US goods imports.
Unfortunately, imports have not bounced back in May.
In fact, import levels at major ports on the west coast are down by close to a third compared to last year during the last week of May…
Even after Trump lowered tariffs on China from 145% to 30% earlier this month, America’s largest ports have yet to see a rebound. The Port of Los Angeles reported a 30% import decline during the final week of May compared to last year. The Northwest Seaport Alliance, which represents the ports of Seattle and Tacoma, says imports also dropped by 30% from the last week in April to the first week in May, and volume is significantly lower compared to last year.
It appears that import numbers could bounce back a bit in June, but not to previous levels.
But then the 90 day pause on reciprocal tariffs ends on July 9th, and the 90 day negotiating period with China ends on August 12th.
In other words, we could potentially be just a couple of months away from a complete and total nightmare at our ports.
Meanwhile, President Trump just posted a blistering message on his Truth Social account that accuses China of violating the agreement that we had made with them for this 90 day negotiating period…
Two weeks ago China was in grave economic danger! The very high Tariffs I set made it virtually impossible for China to TRADE into the United States marketplace which is, by far, number one in the World. We went, in effect, COLD TURKEY with China, and it was devastating for them. Many factories closed and there was, to put it mildly, “civil unrest.” I saw what was happening and didn’t like it, for them, not for us. I made a FAST DEAL with China in order to save them from what I thought was going to be a very bad situation, and I didn’t want to see that happen. Because of this deal, everything quickly stabilized and China got back to business as usual. Everybody was happy! That is the good news!!! The bad news is that China, perhaps not surprisingly to some, HAS TOTALLY VIOLATED ITS AGREEMENT WITH US. So much for being Mr. NICE GUY!

In this case, U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer says that China has been extremely slow to implement their obligations and that this is “completely unacceptable and has to be addressed”…
U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, in a CNBC interview Friday morning, echoed Trump’s allegation, saying “we’re very concerned with” China’s purported non-compliance with the temporary trade deal.
The “United States did exactly what it was supposed to do, and the Chinese are slow rolling their compliance,” said Greer.
He called that “completely unacceptable and has to be addressed.”
If we can’t trust the Chinese to do what they say they are going to do, how can we make any sort of an agreement with them?
Needless to say, the Chinese are very angry with us right now too.
After learning that President Trump was planning to increase arms sales to Taiwan, China issued a very stern warning…
China has warned the U.S. of its “first red line that cannot be crossed” after a report that President Donald Trump intends to increase arms sales to Taiwan.
The Trump administration will lift weapons sales to Taiwan to higher levels than during his first administration, Reuters reported, citing U.S. officials, to put more military pressure on Beijing and to help deter a Chinese invasion of the island.
It also came out this week that the U.S. military currently has about 500 troops in Taiwan.
The Chinese are very upset about this as well.
The Chinese do not like the Trump administration at all, and the Trump administration is clearly not fond of China.
At this point, it certainly isn’t going to take much to turn our relationship with China into a major dumpster fire.

One day we are facing high tariffs, the next day one court strikes them all down, and then the next day another court temporarily reverses that decision. How is anyone supposed to make solid business decisions in such an environment? Our economy has been heading in the wrong direction for a long time, and we need to take bold action to fix things. But if legal battles are going to be constantly upending the rules of the game, there is no way that we are going to be able to pull out of our economic death spiral.
On Wednesday, three judges at the U.S. Court of International Trade made headlines all over the world when they dramatically struck down all of President Trump’s tariffs…
A federal court on Wednesday ruled that President Donald Trump overstepped his authority to impose sweeping tariffs that have raised the cost of imports for everyone from giant businesses to everyday Americans.
But the administration immediately appealed the decision on Wednesday night, leaving the situation uncertain for consumers and companies and potentially prolonging the battle over whether Trump’s import duties will stand – and possibly reshape the global economy.
A three-judge panel at the US Court of International Trade, a relatively low-profile court in Manhattan, stopped Trump’s global tariffs that he imposed citing emergency economic powers, including the “Liberation Day” tariffs he announced on April 2. It also prevents Trump from enforcing his tariffs placed earlier this year against China, Mexico and Canada, designed to combat fentanyl coming into the United States.
Many news outlets on the left were in a celebratory mood once this decision was announced.

The U.S. Court of International Trade’s unanimous ruling against Trump’s signature tariffs is not the first judicial rebuke of Trump’s second term administration — and it will not be the last — but it may be the most serious and consequential to date. For the time being, the decision provides a major source of relief to the large majority of Americans who opposed Trump’s tariffs; to the U.S. businesses, both large and small, whose operations were existentially threatened by a policy that changed by the day; to the country’s foreign trading partners, whose economies were thrown into disarray; and to international financial markets, which quickly rose after the decision came down.
And the Chinese were quite thrilled by the decision as well…
China reiterated its call for the U.S. to abolish its tariffs after a panel of federal judges ruled that President Donald Trump did not have the authority to introduce them under the emergency powers he had used. The Trump administration is appealing the decision.
He Yongqian, spokesperson for the Chinese Commerce Ministry, said Beijing has “noticed that the court ruled that tariffs imposed over [the] fentanyl issue and Trump administration’s worldwide reciprocal tariffs are illegal and blocked them from going into effect.”
“China has always maintained that there are no winners in a trade war and that protectionism has no way out,” He said, according to state media outlet Global Times.
But the truth is that this court decision really didn’t change much at all.
Economists at Goldman Sachs quickly pointed out that the Trump administration has other ways to impose tariffs and that this ruling “might not change the final outcome for most major US trading partners”…
Goldman Sachs economists said the White House has a few tools at its disposal that could ensure the court ruling is only a temporary problem.
“This ruling represents a setback for the administration’s tariff plans and increases uncertainty but might not change the final outcome for most major US trading partners,” Goldman Sachs economists said in a research note.
“For now, we expect the Trump administration will find other ways to impose tariffs,” they added.
In particular, the Trump administration could use “Section 122 of U.S. trade law, Section 301 investigations and Section 338 of the Trade Act of 1930” to impose new tariffs in place of the tariffs that were struck down…
The Trump administration nevertheless has other legal means of imposing tariffs, Goldman says, flagging Section 122 of U.S. trade law, Section 301 investigations and Section 338 of the Trade Act of 1930.
Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974 does not require a formal investigation and could therefore be one of the swiftest ways to get around the court roadblock.
“The administration could quickly replace the 10% across-the-board tariff with a similar tariff of up to 15% under Sec. 122,” analysts at Goldman said.
But for now, none of that will be necessary, because the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has temporarily stopped the decision by the US Court of International Trade from taking effect…
A federal appeals court on Thursday granted the Trump administration’s request to temporarily pause a lower-court ruling that struck down most of President Donald Trump’s tariffs.
The Trump administration had earlier told the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit that it would seek “emergency relief” from the Supreme Court as soon as Friday if the tariff ruling was not quickly put on pause.
The judgment issued Wednesday night by the U.S. Court of International Trade is “temporarily stayed until further notice while this court considers the motions papers,” the appeals court said in its order.
What a mess.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is insisting that this is a matter that will ultimately need to be decided by the U.S. Supreme Court…
She is right.
The Supreme Court will need to get involved.
But how long will that take?
And at this stage, it is very unclear what the Supreme Court will choose to do…
“At the moment, it is anyone’s guess as to whether these very unpopular tariffs will be reinstated on appeal or by the Supreme Court,” said Carl Weinberg, chief economist at High Frequency Economics, in a May 29 research note. “So, uncertainty is now poised to escalate.”
It could take weeks or even months before a final decision is reached.
So what are U.S. businesses supposed to do during that time?
I have heard from a number of U.S. business owners that are experiencing quite a bit of stress right now.
Sadly, the numbers show that the U.S. economy had shifted into contraction mode even before the global trade war erupted…
According to the Commerce Department’s Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), the advanced GDP Growth Rate is expected to have contracted by 0.2% in the January-March period. The readings show a marked pullback from the prior quarter’s 2.4% expansion.
The drama that has played out right in front of our eyes this week is yet another example of how broken our system has become.
In the months ahead, there will be many more matters that directly affect our economy that will end up in the courts, and unelected judges will get to decide what happens.
It is not good for our society to have endless battles between the executive branch and the judicial branch.
Meanwhile, Congress is so paralyzed that it literally can’t seem to get much of anything done.

Is any hope of a peaceful resolution to the war in Ukraine about to slip away? President Trump just told reporters that he is “not happy with what Putin is doing”, and meanwhile approximately 50,000 Russian troops are positioned just across from Ukraine’s “fortress city” of Kharkiv. A major offensive in the direction of Ukraine’s second largest city would escalate the conflict to an entirely new level, and European leaders would go absolutely ballistic. So what would President Trump do in such a scenario?
Based on what he just told the press, it is clear that President Trump has lost patience with Vladimir Putin…
Speaking to reporters on the tarmac at Morristown, New Jersey before he boarded Air Force One and returned to Washington, D.C., Trump spoke about a range of topics as he fielded questions ranging from tariffs to manufacturing goals to Russia and Ukraine peace talks.
“I’m not happy with what Putin is doing,” Trump said. “He’s killing a lot of people, and I don’t know what the hell happened to Putin. I’ve known him a long time. Always gotten along with him, but he’s sending rockets into cities and killing people, and I don’t like it at all.”
“We’re in the middle of talking, and he’s shooting rockets into Kiev and other cities. I don’t like it at all,” he said, adding, “I don’t like what Putin is doing, not even a little bit. He’s killing people. Something happened to this guy, and I don’t like it.“
I have never heard Trump talk this way about Putin.
But I can understand why Trump is so frustrated. We are supposed to be trying to find a way to end this war, but the Russians just sent a massive wave of missiles and drones at Kyiv…
A massive Russian drone-and-missile attack targeted the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, and other regions in the country for a second consecutive night, killing at least 12 people and injuring dozens, officials said early Sunday.
The scale of the onslaught was stunning — Russia hit Ukraine with 367 drones and missiles, making this the largest single attack of the more than three-years-long war, according to Yuriy Ihnat, a spokesperson for Ukraine’s Air Force.
In all, Russia used 69 missiles of various types and 298 drones, including Iranian-designed Shahed drones, he told The Associated Press.
I really wish that the Russians had not done this.
But the Russians are steaming mad at the Ukrainians because it appears that they tried to blast Vladimir Putin’s helicopter out of the sky…
Ukraine made an audacious bid to blast Vladimir Putin’s presidential helicopter out of the sky over Russia’s Kursk region last week, according to reports. Air force Major-General Yuri Dashkin said repeated military drone attacks were launched at the moment when the Russian leader made a rare visit close to the war zone.
A Putin trip to Kursk region was previously reported as taking place on May 20. Dashkin said: “During the period when the President [Putin] was working in the Kursk region, the enemy launched an unprecedented attack with unmanned aerial vehicles. The air defence group in this area destroyed 46 aircraft-type [Ukrainian military drones].”
If another country tried to do a similar thing to President Trump, we would be extremely upset too.
Of course the corporate news outlets in the United States have barely said anything about this attempt on Putin’s life.
Overall, it is being reported that Ukraine sent “764 drones into Russian territory between Tuesday and Friday”…
It comes as both sides of the conflict have claimed an increase in drone strikes, with Moscow’s Foreign Ministry claiming that Ukraine launched 764 drones into Russian territory between Tuesday and Friday.
On Saturday, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov blamed “some European nations led by the UK, France, Germany, and the EU leadership” for the increased level of Ukrainian drone strikes on Russia.
Why can’t both sides just stop the drone attacks for a few weeks and give peace a chance?
Sadly, if the Russians send tens of thousands of troops toward Kharkiv, and chance for peace will probably be completely gone.
It is Ukraine’s second largest city, and Sky News is telling us that approximately 50,000 Russian troops have been “positioned just across the border from Kharkiv”…

Major Ukraine War Escalation: 50,000 Russian troops are amassing near Ukraine’s second largest city, Kharkiv, in preparation for a major Russian offensive.
Putin is clearly putting massive pressure on the Ukrainian dictator, Zelensky, to accept Russia’s demands and sign a peace deal.
I think that it is quite likely that this is what the Russians are thinking.
But in my opinion a major offensive toward Kharkiv would completely kill the peace talks. European leaders would go completely nuts and President Trump would become extremely angry with Vladimir Putin.
If President Trump ultimately concludes that there is no peaceful way to end this war, he will try to find a military way to win it.
Needless to say, that would bring us right to the brink of the unthinkable.
Unfortunately, Vladimir Putin has made it clear that Russian forces will soon be creating buffer zones in three Ukrainian border regions. The following is a direct quote from Putin…
I reiterate: this concerns the Kursk Region, the Bryansk Region, and the Belgorod Region, which have also suffered and continue to endure shelling. Moreover, the adversary typically targets objectives devoid of military significance: civilian infrastructure and people’s homes.
The most recent events only confirm what I just said: drone attacks as well as sabotage and reconnaissance actions target civilian transport, including ambulances and agricultural machinery. Most of the casualties are women and children.
As I said, a decision has been made to create a buffer security zone along the Russian border. Our Armed Forces are working on this now. They are also effectively suppressing enemy firing points.
So we know that Russian forces will be coming across the border.
But we don’t know if they will try to go all the way to Kharkiv.
If they do, that will fundamentally alter the trajectory of this conflict.
Meanwhile, Israel is “preparing for a potential multi-front war with Iran”…
The Israeli military announced on Friday that it is preparing for a potential multi-front war with Iran and its regional terror proxies amid stalled nuclear negotiations for a hostage release-ceasefire deal.
A recent Israeli military drill, dubbed “Barak Tamir,” reportedly simulated preparedness for a multifront regional conflict. The exercise tested emergency coordination between civilian and military agencies, with a focus on protecting critical infrastructure and the home front, as the Iranian regime continues to openly call for Israel’s destruction.
“This exercise was designed to refine coordination and improve the speed and quality of response during escalating scenarios,” an IDF spokesperson stated.
The IDF wouldn’t be “preparing” for such a conflict unless Israeli leaders felt like it was a very real possibility.
I have a feeling that things will soon get very “interesting” in the Middle East.
We live at a time when armed conflicts have been breaking out all over the globe. In fact, it is being reported that the number of armed conflicts that we witnessed last year was the highest that we have seen since World War II…
Last year, varying levels of conflict were reported across at least 50 different countries, from the civil war in Myanmar to extreme violence between drug cartels in Mexico, according to the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data (ACLED).
Experts predict that the trend will probably continue throughout 2025 and beyond.
Across the 50 countries, there were at least 56 active conflicts – one of the largest quantities since 1946 – “with fewer conflicts being resolved, either militarily or through peace agreements”, the Global Peace Index estimated.
There are many that believe that World War III has already begun.
But there are also many that believe that negotiations will be successful and world peace is just around the corner.
Without a doubt, global leaders will be making some critical decisions in the days ahead.
Let us hope that they make their choices wisely.
