The good news is, with portable jump starters, you don’t need a mechanical engineering degree to use one. Unlike older intimidating portable jump starters, nowadays, they’re convenient, safe, and simple to use.

But each unit has unique instructions. So while they’re all very easy, they are not universal.

However, with that said, below are the general set of instructions for MOST portable jump starters today:

Here’s how:

1. Turn Off Vehicle And Any Power Draining Accessories

A portable vehicle charger is designed to give you full voltage in the first few attempts. Then it will, unfortunately, decrease in power.

You need to make sure the first jumps count, so take the keys out of your vehicle.

2. Connect The Jumper Cables

Your Portable Jump Starter has two cables coming out of it with alligator clamps. These clamps allow for a secure connection to your battery posts.

Make sure you make the proper connections. Red clamp to positive and black clamp to negative.

3. Turn On The Portable Jump Starter

Always turn on the jumper starter unit first. This will send the flow of electricity to your battery so your vehicle can use it.

Give it a few minutes BEFORE attempting to start your vehicle.

Note: Some portable jump starters use a sequence of beeps to signal when it’s ready to “start your vehicle”.

4. Then Start Your Vehicle

Once ready, turn the key over for about 5 seconds max. The portable jump starter will send a short burst of electricity. And most of the time, this will allow enough power to turn your engine’s starter.

But, if it doesn’t within 5 seconds, stop.

Try again if needed until it starts. But each successive failed attempt will reduce your chances of a successful jump.

Over the past week, a large number of prominent voices have been calling for NATO intervention in Ukraine.  Of course if NATO gets involved in the war, it is the U.S. military that is going to be doing the heavy lifting.  Unfortunately, as you will see below, the U.S. military is actually shrinking because recruiting has become extremely difficult.  So if we actually go into Ukraine, we are going to need a lot more people to volunteer.  Will the talking heads on television that are endlessly advocating for a war with Russia be willing to join up?  Of course not.  Many of our politicians are talking a good game, but needless to say they won’t be going to Ukraine and neither will their children.  The elite always count on someone else to fight their wars for them, but these days it is becoming increasingly challenging to find enough people that are willing to do that.

In the defense budget request for 2023 that was recently submitted by the Biden administration, it is being projected that the size of the U.S. Army will decline by 12,000 soldiers…

The 2023 defense budget request just released by the Biden administration reduces the size of the Army by 12,000 soldiers. It isn’t that the Army doesn’t need those soldiers—senior leaders have consistently said the Army is too small. The reason for the cut is that the Army projects that they won’t be able to recruit enough people to meet their quotas.

Considering the fact that we are on the verge of war with Russia, you would think that our politicians would be doing all that they can to make sure that we have enough troops.

But the truth is that at this point not that many young people want to sign up.  In fact, there is a possibility that all four branches of our military could miss their recruiting goals this year…

Indeed, this year it’s possible none of the services will meet their recruiting goals. Only halfway into the fiscal year, the Army and the Navy recently raised their bonuses for recruits to an all-time high of $50,000, the head of Air Force recruiting told his recruiters “we have warning lights flashing,” and the Marine Corps is short recruiters because the recruiting business now is so difficult.

That is just sad.

The U.S. military was once the most mighty fighting machine on the entire planet, but now it is steadily shrinking.

In fact, even if you throw in all National Guard troops, it is being projected that the size of the U.S. Army will drop below one million for the first time in two decades…

The Army would fall under 1 million soldiers for the first time in 20 years under the new proposal, with active duty Army falling from 485,000 soldiers to 473,000. That number, combined with National Guard and Reserve forces, puts the U.S. total at 998,500 soldiers.

So what can be done?

Well, perhaps we can simply lower our standards.  At this point, the vast majority of America’s young people don’t even meet the lowest standards for military service…

With each passing year, fewer and fewer young people qualify for military service. Widespread obesity (36 percent for ages 18-39), increasing numbers of youth afflicted with mental health issues (26 percent of youth aged 18-25), and other issues including criminal records or lack of high-school degrees is driving down the percentage of youths qualified to enlist without a waiver.

In 2016 a Pentagon study reported only 29 percent of Americans age 17 to 24 were eligible to enlist. Multiple sources now report that number has dropped to below 25 percent.

Also, it would probably be a good idea to rethink our television recruiting commercials.

For example, just check out this video where Chinese, Russian and U.S. recruiting videos are compared.

The truth is that our recruiting materials don’t appeal to real men.

But you need real men if you intend to fight and win real wars.

Instead, our leaders seem absolutely determined to turn our military into one of the “wokest” institutions in our entire society…

While Russia wages a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the U.S. Army is putting its soldiers through training on gender pronouns and coaching officers on when to offer soldiers gender transition surgery, according to an official military presentation on the subject obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

The mandatory presentation, “Policy on the Military Service of Transgender Persons and Persons with Gender Dysphoria,” was given to officers earlier this month along with instructions for them to train their subordinates on the material. Portions of the presentation were provided to the Free Beacon by a whistleblower who was ordered to undergo the training as a high-ranking officer in the Army Special Forces.

Are you kidding me?

This sort of politically correct nonsense actually discourages a lot of young men from signing up, because many of them don’t want anything to do with what our military has become.

My father was in the U.S. Navy, and in those days I was proud to be a military kid.

But now everything has changed.

And it isn’t just our military.  Overall, the willingness of the American people to defend our country if war breaks out has dropped to depressingly low levels…

If Americans were in the same position as Ukrainians right now, more Republicans than Democrats would stay and fight, according to a poll released Monday.

Of the Republicans surveyed in the Quinnipiac University Poll, 68% said they would stay and fight compared to 40% of Democrats. Among Democrats, 52% said they would flee the country, compared to 25% of Republicans.

As a nation, we simply are not prepared for any sort of a major conflict.

Just look at what happened in Afghanistan.  Our military spent 20 years there, and the Taliban was even stronger when we left than when we first arrived.

And before we could even pull all of our troops out of Afghanistan, the Taliban had retaken the entire country from the Afghan army that we had spent billions upon billions of dollars to arm and train.

So now we want to fight Russia?

I don’t think so.

Sadly, war with Russia is coming eventually, and so we better get our act together.

And we had better get ourselves prepared for a conflict with China too, because it won’t be too long before the Chinese decide to invade Taiwan.

We have entered a time of wars and rumors of wars, and our new “woke military” is definitely not prepared to handle what is ahead.

Unfortunately, things are not likely to turn around any time soon, because either Joe Biden or Kamala Harris will be residing in the White House until at least January 2025.

I never imagined that I would be writing so much about fertilizer in 2022.  When I was growing up, there were only two things that I knew about fertilizer.  I knew that it helped stuff grow and I knew that it smelled bad.  But these days, experts are telling us that a global shortage of fertilizer could result in horrifying famines all over the world.  Right now, to a very large degree we are still eating food that was produced in 2021.  But by the end of the year, to a very large degree we will be eating food that was produced in 2022.  Unfortunately for all of us, it appears that a lack of fertilizer will mean that far less food is grown in 2022 than originally anticipated.

Thanks to an unprecedented explosion in energy prices, we were already facing a fertilizer crisis even before the war in Ukraine, but now that war has definitely taken things to the next level.

Under normal conditions, a great deal of the world’s fertilizer comes from either Russia, Belarus or Ukraine…

A fertilizer shortage has added to growing concerns about the Ukraine war’s impact on the price and scarcity of certain basic foods.

Combined, Russia and Belarus had provided about 40% of the world’s exports of potash, according to Morgan Stanley. Russia’s exports were hit by sanctions. Further, in February, a major Belarus producer declared force majeure — a statement that it wouldn’t be able to uphold its contracts due to forces beyond its control.

Russia also exported 11% of the world’s urea, and 48% of the ammonium nitrate. Russia and Ukraine together export 28% of fertilizers made from nitrogen and phosphorous, as well as potassium, according to Morgan Stanley.

Global hunger rose significantly in both 2020 and 2021, but what we are going to be dealing with in the months ahead is going to be completely unlike anything that we have dealt with in the past.

In fact, one commodity expert that was interviewed by CNBC is extremely pessimistic about what is ahead…

“All of this is a double whammy, if not a triple whammy,” said Bart Melek, global head of commodity strategy at TD Securities. “We have geopolitical risk, higher input costs and basically shortages.”

We have never seen anything like this before.

Since the beginning of 2021, some fertilizer prices have “more than doubled”, and some fertilizer prices have more than tripled…

Some fertilizers have more than doubled in price. For instance, Melek said potash traded in Vancouver was priced at about $210 per metric tons at the beginning of 2021, and it’s now valued at $565. He added that urea for delivery to the Middle East was trading at $268 per metric ton on the Chicago Board of Trade in early 2021 and was valued at $887.50 on Tuesday.

And in some parts of the globe it is even worse.

In Peru, fertilizer prices have experienced an “almost fourfold” increase…

The global fertilizer squeeze exacerbated by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is imperiling rice production in Peru, where the seed is a staple for tens of millions of people.

Prices of the crop nutrient urea have surged almost fourfold amid supply scarcities, adding to cost inflation for growers, according to the Peruvian Association of Rice Producers.

That same article goes on to explain that many farmers in Peru won’t be able to afford to plant crops at all this year.

If that sounds familiar, that is because this is something that I have been warning about for months.

In particular, here in the United States it simply is not going to be profitable for many farmers to grow corn this year, because corn needs a high amount of fertilizer.

All over the world, far less fertilizer will be used in 2022, and that means that far less food will be grown.

There will be famines, and one expert is even warning that food scarcity will “touch people in the lower income distribution in North America”…

“We’re talking about an erosion of food security on a scale we have not seen for a long time, and I think it will touch people in the lower income distribution in North America,” he added.

But as long as you have a decent income, you will still be able to go to the store and buy food in the months ahead.

It just might cost you a lot more.

During a recent interview with Tucker Carlson, farmer Ben Riensche warned that Americans could soon be paying a thousand dollars more a month for their groceries…

“Soaring fertilizer prices are likely to bring spiked food prices. If you’re upset that gas is up a dollar or two a gallon, wait until your grocery bill is up $1,000.00 a month, and it might not just manifest itself in terms of price. It could be quantity as well. Empty Shelf syndrome may be starting.”

Can you afford to pay $1,000 more for groceries every month?

If not, you better stock up now while prices are still relatively reasonable.

Of course there are certain things that you will not be able to stock up on because they simply aren’t there.

Shortages are intensifying all over the country, and in particular we have seen an alarming shortage of pasta begin to happen in certain stores.  The following comes from an article that was just posted on All News Pipeline…

First, it was Eggs and now it’s also Pasta.

The eggs have been missing for well over a week now and yesterday morning I was surprised to see the pasta was also mostly bare. Also, some of the shelves have the old COVID trick of pushing everything together and up to the front of the shelf!

Very little pasta left!

Of course the shortage of eggs is related to the shortage of pasta, because eggs are used in making pasta.

I have been trying to explain to my readers that this new bird flu pandemic is going to be a really, really big deal.  As I mentioned yesterday, 28 million chickens and turkeys are already dead in less than two months, and things are already so bad that pasta is starting to disappear from our store shelves.

If things are this crazy already, what will conditions be like six months from now?

You might want to think about that.

I have been trying to sound the alarm about a coming global famine for years, and now it is here.

Global food riots have already started, but what we have seen so far is just the tip of the iceberg.

Like I said at the top of this article, for now we are still eating food that was produced last year to a large degree.

Just wait until we get to the end of this year and beyond.

It won’t be pretty.

For years, there was a great debate about what the future of our society would look like.  The irrational optimists kept assuring us that we would never suffer any serious consequences for decades of incredibly foolish decisions, and they kept promising that a new golden age of peace and prosperity for humanity was just around the corner.  Meanwhile, others were warning that humanity would soon be plunging into an abyss filled with endless nightmares.  Instead of a utopian new chapter in our history, we were warned that war, hunger, pestilence and relentless economic problems were on the horizon.

Prior to 2020, to a lot of people it seemed like the irrational optimists might be right after all.

Yes, there were lots of serious problems simmering in the background, but overall life seemed to be rolling along pretty good for most of the population.

But then 2020 came along, and everything started to change.

As I write this article in April 2022, war, hunger, pestilence and relentless economic problems have all materialized.  In fact, things are already so bad in Europe that rationing has now been instituted in some areas…

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has threatened the supply of critical commodities in Europe and thrown global supply chains, which were already struggling amid COVID-19, into complete chaos.

As a result, the prices of everything from wheat to oil have soared, leading to multi-decade high inflation rates in places like Germany and Spain. The supply crunch in Europe is now so bad it’s causing governments to begin laying the groundwork for rationing, with some stores already limiting supplies.

This isn’t Africa that we are talking about.

If rationing is already taking place in Europe, how bad is it going to be for the poorer nations in the months ahead?

Well, UN Secretary-General António Guterres is telling us that “the world’s most vulnerable people and countries” are heading into a “hurricane of hunger”…

UN Secretary-General António Guterres warned urgently of the global consequences of the war as early as mid-March. The breadbasket is being bombed and a “hurricane of hunger” is threatening, he stated. Given Ukraine’s great importance as a food exporter, the invasion was “also an attack on the world’s most vulnerable people and countries.”

Sadly, he is not exaggerating one bit.

As I discussed yesterday, at this point even Joe Biden is admitting that the coming food shortages are “going to be real”.

But even though global leaders are openly telling us that things are going to get really bad, most people still don’t seem very alarmed.

This greatly frustrates me, because this is not a false alarm.

There are 45 different nations that normally get “at least one-third of their wheat from Ukraine or Russia”…

The world’s 45 least developed countries import at least one-third of their wheat from Ukraine or Russia, and 18 countries among them import more than 50 percent. These include Egypt, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen. These are all countries that are already dependent on humanitarian aid and food supplies because millions of people are currently suffering from massive hunger.

How are all of those countries supposed to feed their people without that wheat?

I keep asking that question, and not a single person has been able to answer it.

Just look at the crisis that has erupted in Lebanon.  They normally get approximately 75 percent of their wheat from either Russia or Ukraine, and so far they have been unable to procure supplies from alternate sources…

Lebanon, which obtains 75 percent of its wheat from Russia and especially Ukraine, is also desperately seeking other wheat exporters, but so far without success. The government turned to the international community with a call for help. There are now fears of rationing and sharp price increases, which will hit the already hard-pressed population hard.

Meanwhile, the global bird flu plague just continues to intensify.

Here in the United States, the total death toll is now just short of 28 million…

The new cases mean that across the nation, farmers have had to kill about 22 million egg-laying chickens, 1.8 million broiler chickens, 1.9 million pullet and other commercial chickens, and 1.9 million turkeys.

It has taken less than two months to go from the first confirmed case in the U.S. to nearly 28 million dead.

So what will the death toll look like six months from now?

And can you imagine what this will do to food prices?

It is being reported that the price of a dozen eggs has already risen 52 percent since the start of this new pandemic…

Egg prices are skyrocketing as a bird-flu outbreak ravages commercial chicken flocks in the U.S., with the price of a dozen large eggs spiking more than 52% in just under two months.

How To Use Portable Car Jump Starter

The good news is, with portable jump starters, you don’t need a mechanical engineering degree to use one. Unlike older intimidating portable jump starters, nowadays, they’re convenient, safe, and simple to use.

But each unit has unique instructions. So while they’re all very easy, they are not universal.

However, with that said, below are the general set of instructions for MOST portable jump starters today:

Here’s how:

1. Turn Off Vehicle And Any Power Draining Accessories

A portable vehicle charger is designed to give you full voltage in the first few attempts. Then it will, unfortunately, decrease in power.

You need to make sure the first jumps count, so take the keys out of your vehicle.

2. Connect The Jumper Cables

Your Portable Jump Starter has two cables coming out of it with alligator clamps. These clamps allow for a secure connection to your battery posts.

Make sure you make the proper connections. Red clamp to positive and black clamp to negative.

3. Turn On The Portable Jump Starter

Always turn on the jumper starter unit first. This will send the flow of electricity to your battery so your vehicle can use it.

Give it a few minutes BEFORE attempting to start your vehicle.

Note: Some portable jump starters use a sequence of beeps to signal when it’s ready to “start your vehicle”.

4. Then Start Your Vehicle

Once ready, turn the key over for about 5 seconds max. The portable jump starter will send a short burst of electricity. And most of the time, this will allow enough power to turn your engine’s starter.

But, if it doesn’t within 5 seconds, stop.

Try again if needed until it starts. But each successive failed attempt will reduce your chances of a successful jump.

Knowing how to build a bomb shelter can give you peace of mind, especially during these uncertain times when the world is on the brink of war. It can protect you and your loved ones from a bomb blast or nuclear explosion.

How to Build a Bomb Shelter | a Step-By-Step Guide

1. Select a Location

Keep in mind to consider these factors when choosing a location to build your bomb shelter:

• Water: Do not choose a downhill place or at the base of a steep slope. Additionally, ensure that you are far from a large body of water to avoid flooding.
• Nearby structures: Select a place that is not near any flammable structures. If a nuclear weapon detonates, it can cause systems to catch fire, and you do not want to be near a burning structure. In addition, avoid a location surrounded by vegetation and trees, as cutting their roots can be harmful to the local geography.
• Utility lines: Avoid utility lines in your yard.
• Stability: You must build your bomb shelter on solid ground.

2. Have a Blueprint

After choosing a location, measure the area and design your blueprint. A blueprint will help you build a stable and adequate bomb shelter, just like constructing a house.

You have three options on how to develop a bomb shelter plan:

• Research online.
• Hire an architect or a drafter.
• Sketch your design.

The size of your bomb shelter depends on your preference. But to give you an idea, a basic bomb shelter measuring 10 x 10 x 10 feet can fit four people.

Essentially, think of it as a small house and maximize its space. Ensure that you plan for your safety, security, efficiency, and comfort.

3. Prepare Your Materials

Be sure that you are building your bomb shelter out of materials that are sturdy enough and will not fall to pieces.

Some of the most common materials you may use are:

• Concrete: This material is relatively affordable and can withstand high loads. What’s more, self-healing concrete can last for 200 years!
• Metal sheet: This material is solid and water-resistant. However, it can be pricey, and you would need to add insulation when using this material.
• Bricks: This type of block is inexpensive, an excellent insulator, and weatherproof. You may also add color and style to this material.

4. Clear the Site for Construction

Plant garden stakes into the ground to outline the perimeter of your bomb shelter. Afterward, use tools to dig up rocks and other waste in the area.

But, if using axes and shovels is laborious and time-consuming, you may use a backhoe instead to make your work faster. This alternative can be costly, but it can speed up the digging process.

Clear the land around 10 feet beyond the perimeter of your shelter so you would have enough space to work with. In addition, this prevents the dirt from falling back into the ground.

5. Start Digging

When you are about to excavate, use the cut-and-cover method – this is how subways are built underground.

In this technique, you dig a trench, build trench support, create your bomb shelter, then cover it.

However, before you start digging, keep in mind that this procedure is one of the most dangerous construction jobs. So practice trench excavation safety by installing support systems.

The three most common types of protective systems are:

• shielding
• shoring
• sloping

Excavate deep enough to protect you from disasters, blast waves, and radiation, but not too deep that you might trap yourself inside your bomb shelter.

6. Create an Emergency Exit

Ensure to create an emergency exit in your bomb shelter. This exit must be on the excavation side and opposite the main Entryway.

This particular exit will not only allow for faster evacuation but will also provide additional ventilation.

Dig a crawl space around two feet wide and three and a half feet deep below the soil’s surface. This crawl space must have a small trench at its end to connect it to the outside world.

7. Create the Main Entrance

After creating your bomb shelter’s emergency exit, it is now time for you to dig your main Entryway.

Construct the main entrance the same way you created your emergency exit but on the opposite end. You can make it wider so you can quickly enter your shelter. Ensure that it is below ground.

8. Build the Roof

The next step on building a bomb shelter is to put wooden roofing poles above your trench. These poles are lengthy, uncut pieces of timber that you can find in a home improvement store or lumberyard.

The roofing poles must extend on each side of your trench to prevent bomb shelter collapse.

For instance, if your trench is five feet wide, your poles should measure nine feet.

Then, assemble the side of the poles by the side over your trench, minimizing the gaps.

9. Add Roof to the Entryway

Pile up some poles in front of the entrance. These poles will help prevent dirt from entering your bomb shelter.

Put some poles between your trench and the edge of your Entryway. Tie these wooden roofing poles together using a rope or wire.

Afterward, tie them to the poles that you used as the Roof of your bomb shelter.

10. Protect the Logs

Waterproof your wooden roofing poles by adding a layer of any plastic material over them. Remember to cover all gaps between the poles to keep water and dirt from falling into your bomb shelter.

You may use either a big tarp or several small tarps that can cover your whole trench.

11. Cover up the Logs

After waterproofing your poles, cover them with an earth dome.

Move your excavated dirt and pile it up on top of your logs, shaping it into a round mound. This will make your bomb shelter roof more firm and solid.

Make the dome deep enough so you can be fully protected from radiation. You may also put another tarp over the dome, then pile up more dirt on it to make its walls thicker.

12. Set Up a Ventilation Pump

Put a ventilation pump near your emergency exit to keep the air in your bomb shelter clean. The pump should have a manual or hand-operated option so you can operate it in case of an emergency.

Place its filter on the floor, then run its pipe along your crawl space. The pipe should measure around 36 inches tall and 20 inches wide.

13. Install a Toilet

In another part of your bomb shelter, create your toilet. You may opt for a composting toilet for efficiency.

However, remember to install another ventilation pump for your toilet. With this, you may install your toilet near the exit far from your sleeping area.

Additionally, keep in mind that bomb shelters typically do not have running water. So if you want clean, running water, you may install tanks, filters, and pipes. However, this can be expensive and elaborate.

14. Build Furniture

In a bomb shelter, you do not need to have oversized furniture. So now is your chance to practice your creativity!

For instance, you may use a hammock as your bed. Just loop strong ropes around the ceiling poles to hang your hammock. Alternatively, you may stack blankets or pack together pine needles for quick and inexpensive makeshift bedding.

15. Keep Stocks of Your Daily Necessities

Since you will be spending some time in your bomb shelter in case of nuclear fallout, you must have a food and water supply that can last for at least two weeks.

Pack dry, non-perishable foods that are easy to prepare, such as:

• canned/dried meats, beans, soup, fruits, and vegetables
• protein bars
• nuts/seeds
• dry and non-dairy milk
• grains
• peanut butter

You may also want to prepare a microwave or a portable butane stove in your bomb shelter. In addition, you may want to stock candles and a pot to serve as your emergency cooking solution in case of a power outage.

Furthermore, bring extra clothes, a first-aid kit, and your medications.

Do you ever feel like you are banging your head into a wall?  I certainly do.  For years, I have been trying to warn people about very specific things that were coming, and now many of those things are literally making headlines on a daily basis.  You would think that should be enough to wake most people up, but unfortunately most of the population is still in a deep state of sleep.  Thankfully, there is a sizable minority that is awake, and I have been hearing from so many of you.  In recent weeks so many readers have told me that they feel like really bad times are ahead of us, and if you feel that way too I want you to know that you aren’t alone.

On January 2nd, I penned these words: “I have such a bad feeling about 2022”.

Of course that wasn’t the only time that I made such a statement.  In fact, I issued many similar warnings in the months leading up to the beginning of the year.

Since that time, war in Ukraine has erupted, global energy prices have gone completely nuts, the inflation rate in the United States has hit the highest level in 40 years, the global supply chain crisis has gotten even worse, and a new bird flu pandemic has begun that has already killed nearly 17 million chickens and turkeys in the United States alone.

And that is hardly an exhaustive list of all the things that have gone wrong over the past 3 months.

So many of the things that I specifically warned about in Lost Prophecies and 7 Year Apocalypse are either happening or the stage is being set for them to happen.

But I suppose that is just a giant “coincidence”, right?

I believe that we are at such a critical turning point in history at this moment.

The war in Ukraine threatens to spark a much broader global war, and the United States and Russia are already engaged in a very vicious economic war.

The COVID pandemic and the bird flu pandemic are just two of the pestilences that are currently afflicting our planet, and I believe that even more pestilences are on the way.

In addition, the worst global energy crisis in decades is combining with the worst global inflation crisis in decades to create a global food crisis that one UN official has called the worst since World War II.

And what we have experienced so far is just the beginning.

At this point, even the global elite are publicly admitting that we are potentially facing a global nightmare in the months ahead.

For example, World Economic Forum Chairman Klaus Scwhab just stated that “we do know the global energy systems, food systems, and supply chains will be deeply affected” during an address at the World Government Summit 2022.

And Joe Biden is openly warning that the coming global food shortages are “going to be real”…

President Biden warned Thursday that there could be global food shortages resulting from the Russian invasion of Ukraine and announced steps to prevent a potential crisis.

“We did talk about food shortages. And it’s going to be real. The price of these sanctions is not just imposed upon Russia, it’s imposed upon an awful lot of countries as well, including European countries and our country as well,” Biden said at a press conference from Brussels, where he is meeting with NATO leaders.

They are literally telling you what is going to happen.

But so many people out there have such a deeply ingrained “normalcy bias” that they can’t wrap their heads around the fact that conditions are rapidly changing for the worse.  If you are not familiar with “normalcy bias”, the following is how Wikipedia defines it…

Normalcy bias, or normality bias, is a cognitive bias which leads people to disbelieve or minimize threat warnings.^[1] Consequently, individuals underestimate the likelihood of a disaster, when it might affect them, and its potential adverse effects.^[2] The normalcy bias causes many people to not adequately prepare for natural disasters, market crashes, and calamities caused by human error. About 70% of people reportedly display normalcy bias during a disaster.^[3]

Most people out there simply assume that life will eventually return to “normal” somehow.

But that isn’t going to happen.

Global events are reaching a great crescendo, and the consequences of decades of very foolish decisions are starting to crash down upon us all at once.

A few years ago I started warning that we were about to enter a “perfect storm”, then I started warning that we had entered a “perfect storm”, and now I am warning that this “perfect storm” is going to get a whole lot worse.

If you plan to make it through what is ahead, you need to take action.

After reading the article that I posted earlier this week about what a nuclear war between the United States and Russia would look like, one of my regular readers asked me to write an article about getting prepared.

So in this article I will give you some of the most important basics, and if you want to learn more you can read the entire book that Barbara Fix and I co-authored a number of years ago.

When it comes to preparation for what is ahead, there are four major categories that you need to focus on.  Those four categories are food, water, energy and shelter.

You should also be thinking about where you plan to ride out the extremely painful years that are ahead of us.

If you are currently living in a major city, your chances of survival will be much lower than someone living in a very rural area when things finally hit the fan.

And even if you are living in a rural area, you need to have an alternate place where you can go if conditions in your current area become untenable for some reason.

This is not a drill, and this is not a game.

A day of reckoning is now at hand, and so many of the things that the watchmen have been relentlessly warning about are starting to come to fruition.

For years, many in the general population made fun of “preppers” and entire television shows were created to mock us.

And even though global events have begun to spiral out of control, most of the population still refuses to get prepared.

That deeply frustrates me, but I am going to continue to do my best to sound the alarm.
