Joining wood with dowels is a century-old hack that woodworkers still use. To say that it’s a complicated technique is utter nonsense.

With this simple guide, even amateurs could do a perfect doweling job minus the hassle.

What You Need

Materials

• Two 2×2 Wooden Boards
• Dowels
• Glue
• 80 – 120 grit Sandpaper

Tools

• Dowel Jigs
• Power Drill
• Drill bits
• Brush
• C-Clamp
• Pencil

Step 1: Prepare the Wood

Clean the surface before joining wood with dowels. Use 80 to 120 grit sandpaper to level the surfaces.

This will help remove rough spots that would create gaps in the joint. Brush the sanded surfaces to remove excess wood.

Step 2: Prepare the Dowel

Making the dowel wider than that measurement would reduce the board’s strength. But using narrower dowels results in a weak wood bond.

Make sure that the diameter of the dowel is half the width of the wood. To make joining wood with dowels, bevel the tips of the dowels.

Note: Etch a tiny groove below the axis of the dowel. This will function as a channel for air and adhesive.

Step 3: Guide the Drill Bit using Dowel Jigs

Accuracy and precision are important when joining wood with dowels. To drill precise holes, mark the edge of the board first using a dowel jig.

Step 4: Align the Dowels

After marking the board where you will drill the holes, align the dowel logs. Once you align the logs properly, tighten the bolts.

Pro Tip: Doweling jigs come with bushings of various sizes. These will accommodate various drill bit diameter sizes.

Step 5: Mark the Boards

Use a pencil to mark the exact location where you will drill and insert the dowels. Detach the boards and using the marks as a guide, align the jig.

Step 6: Prepare the Drill

Once you are sure with the marks, fit the bit into the power drill. Place the tip of the bit right into the marked area of the board.

Step 7: Begin Drilling Holes

Grip the handle of the grip firmly. With a steady hand, press the trigger switch as you push the bit gently into the mark.

Once done, reposition the drill bit into the next mark. Repeat the same procedure before joining wood with dowels.

Caution: Be extra careful when using a power drill. Observe safety and make sure to prepare a first aid kit in case of an emergency.

Step 8: Align All Holes

Insert the doweling centers into the holes that you have just drilled. Align both boards with the holes and marks as a guide.

Press them together and make sure both boards are precisely aligned. This will create an exact indentation on the other board.

Use this indentation as your guide in drilling the next set of holes.

Note: When drilling a hole, make sure to set an allowance for air the glue to set in.

Step 9: Insert the Dowels on the First Board

When done drilling all the holes, remove the doweling jig and centers from the board. Fill a reasonable amount of glue into every hole.

Insert the dowels into the holes. Remove excess glue that would squeeze out using a damp rag.

Step 10: Tighten the Joint

When you finish securing the joint, use a clamp to further tighten the bond. Again, be careful not to damage the joint by twisting.

Put the board in the clamp for at least 24 hours. This will ensure the success of joining wood with dowels.

There are other methods in joining wood with dowels. Some do not even need the use of doweling jigs. This particular method though is the easiest and most reliable way.

The era of cheap meat is over.  For those that are carnivores, that is really bad news.  For decades, Americans have been able to count on the fact that there would always be mountains of very inexpensive meat at the local grocery store, but now those days are gone and they aren’t coming back.  As I was writing this introductory paragraph, it struck me that what is happening to meat prices actually parallels what I wrote about yesterday.  Just as the left doesn’t want us to use traditional forms of energy because they believe that doing so is “bad” for the climate, so they also detest that a lot of us like to eat a lot of meat because the production of meat causes levels of certain greenhouse gases to rise.  Sometimes we joke about the methane that comes from “cow farts”, but radicals on the left take this stuff deadly seriously.  And at the same time that gasoline prices are soaring into the stratosphere, the exact same thing is happening to meat prices.  In fact, we just learned that the price of beef in the U.S. has risen more than 20 percent since last October…

Behind unleaded gasoline, beef prices have risen the most on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) since October 2020, rising 20.1% in the past year, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

An increase of over 20 percent in one year is deeply alarming.

Unfortunately, it isn’t just the price of beef that is soaring.  Tyson Foods just released some new numbers which show that beef, pork and chicken prices are all rising dramatically…

The biggest meat company by sales in the United States has announced significant price rises for the fourth quarter, as the impact of the highest inflation for 30 years continues to be felt.

Tyson Foods, based in Springdale, Arkansas, announced on Monday that chicken prices rose 19 percent during its fiscal fourth quarter, while beef and pork prices jumped 33 percent and 38 percent, respectively.

During the early portion of this crisis, Tyson Foods was reluctant to pass increasing costs along to consumers, but now we are being informed that they don’t intend to make the same mistake again…

Stewart Glendinning, the chief financial officer of Tyson Foods, said that they have been slow to increase their prices, in line with inflation, but are now making up for the delay.

‘We expect to take continued pricing actions to ensure that any inflationary cost increases that our business incurs are passed along,’ he said, on the company’s quarterly earnings call.

Sadly, this is just the beginning.  The price of meat is only going to go higher from here, and eventually it will get to a point where meat prices become exceedingly painful.

Of course there are many that would argue that we are already there.

As food prices continue to climb, those that help the needy are going to have a much more difficult time trying to do so.

For example, the Salvation Army is projecting that it will need 50 percent more funding than last year as it feeds more Americans than ever before…

The Salvation Army is planning to serve more meals than in 2020’s record year, and will need around 50% more funding to meet the buoyed demand, Hodder said. He expects rental and utilities assistance to lead the pack of requested aid.

“We’re fearful of what we’re calling ‘pandemic poverty,’” Hodder said.

The price of gasoline continues to shoot up as well.

On Tuesday, the average price of gasoline in California set a new record high for the third day in a row…

Gas prices in California have broken a new record with an average price tag of $4.687 for a regular gallon as of Tuesday morning, according to the American Automobile Association.

It was the third day in a row the state has recorded record breaking prices as Monday’s average gas price was $4.682 and Sunday’s was $4.676 which broke the previous state record of $4.671 in October 2012.

Needless to say, the price of gasoline is quite a bit higher than that in certain urban areas.

In downtown Los Angeles, one unfortunate motorist ended up paying more than six dollars a gallon on Monday…

Brian Sproule squinted against the sun on Monday as he examined the price board at a Chevron station in downtown Los Angeles, where a regular gallon of gas was $6.05.

Sproule, 37, is a mobile notary who spends much of his time in his car. He said he’s used to spending about $40 to fill his tank, but by the time he capped off his Hyundai Elantra, the meter displayed a whopping $71.59.

Can you imagine paying that much for gasoline?

Don’t think that it can’t happen where you live.  Eventually, everyone in the entire country will be seeing such prices.

As “Bidenflation” makes headlines day after day, U.S. consumers are becoming increasingly pessimistic.  Just check out the latest consumer confidence number released by the University of Michigan…

The University of Michigan’s consumer sentiment index fell to 66.8 in November – down sharply from the October reading of 71.7 and well below economists’ forecast for a reading of 72.4.

“Consumer sentiment fell in early November to its lowest level in a decade due to an escalating inflation rate and the growing belief among consumers that no effective policies have yet been developed to reduce the damage from surging inflation,” Richard Curtin, the survey’s chief economist, said in a statement.

Americans haven’t been this negative about the economy in a really long time.

And it is becoming increasingly clear that things are going to get even worse in the months ahead.  Our leaders continue to promise that they will make progress on the problems that we are facing, but those problems just keep on escalating.  In fact, the number of giant container ships waiting off the coast of southern California just hit another new record high…

On Friday and Monday, yet another record was set for the number of container ships stuck at anchor or in holding patterns off the ports: 83. The average wait time at anchor for ships arriving in Los Angeles hit yet another fresh peak on Tuesday: 16.9 days.

That really surprises me.

Despite all of the national attention, and despite the fact that the Biden administration has gotten directly involved, the nightmare at the ports in southern California just continues to intensify.

If we can’t even figure out how to get stuff unloaded and moved across the country in a timely manner, what hope do we have of properly addressing our more complex economic problems?

As our economy is shaken by crisis after crisis, millions upon millions of families all over the nation are deeply suffering.

But of course not everyone is doing badly these days.  It turns out that the vaccine manufacturers are laughing all the way to the bank…

The People’s Vaccine Alliance (PVA), an international non-profit working to close the global vaccine disparity, analyzed the earnings reports of Pfizer, BioNTech and Moderna and found that the companies will make a combined $34 billion in profit this year.

When broken down, that is $93.5 million a day, $65,000 a minute and more than $1,000 every second of profit.

When I look at those numbers, they literally make me want to vomit.

The greed that we are witnessing has reached a level that is absolutely breathtaking.

But this is what happens when the moral foundation of a society completely collapses.

In about a month and a half, 2021 will be over and 2022 will be here.

2021 has been bad, but I believe that 2022 will be even worse.

So I would encourage you to make preparations for a very rough year, because the days ahead are not going to be pretty.

“On boosters, it’s very clear that getting three jabs—getting your booster—will become an important fact and it will make life easier for you in all sorts of ways, and we will have to adjust our concept of what constitutes a full vaccination to take account of that.”

“As we can see from what’s happening, the two jabs sadly do start to wane, so we’ve got to be responsible and we’ve got to reflect that fact in the way we measure what constitutes full vaccination.”

They will continue to move the goalposts. There is no stopping this until enough people realize they are slaves and start to no longer believe they must continue to be. It ends when we say it does:

Those who think it’s “over” now that the 5th circuit court upheld Biden’s “vaccine” mandate as unconstitutional don’t understand what is really going on. According to the masters’ online vaccine tracker, almost 68% of the UK is fully “vaccinated,”

So as we said, when the fully “vaccinated” continue to get the cold or the flu after being shot up with the experimental gene therapy, they will blame those who don’t get sick and haven’t taken the shots and try to jab more and more of these “vaccines” into arms.

It is often said that children are the future, and America’s children are being raised in nightmarish propaganda centers that are cesspools of sex, violence and just about every type of evil that you can possibly imagine.  All the way through my education, I attended public schools, and they were really bad in my day.  But now they are so horrific that I don’t know why any parent would ever want to subject their children to such an environment.  When they are in class, children are being systematically taught “values” that are completely and utterly un-American, and when they are out of class that is when the real danger begins.  Just when you think that our public schools can’t possibly sink any lower, somehow they find a way to do exactly that.  For example, consider what just happened at Hazard High School in Kentucky…

As part of homecoming week activities, Tuesday was costume day at Hazard High School and a “man pageant” was held.

Multiple photos were posted and then taken down from the Hazard High School athletics Facebook page.

They appear to show scantily clad students giving lap dances to faculty and staff.

This didn’t happen in New York or Los Angeles.

This happened in the supposedly “red state” of Kentucky.

These people are supposed to have “country values”, but instead it appears that they have no values at all.

What kind of sickos would think that it is a good idea for male students to dress up like strippers and give staff members lap dances?

The principal and everyone else involved in that spectacle should immediately be fired.

You are probably thinking that I am also going to talk about what recently happened in Loudoun County, Virginia in this article, and you would be right.

This week, a court determined that a 15-year-old girl had been sexually assaulted “in the girls’ bathroom of a Loudoun County high school in May”…

In a case that has generated a political firestorm, a Virginia juvenile court judge found sufficient evidence during a trial Monday to sustain charges that a teen sexually assaulted a classmate in the girls’ bathroom of a Loudoun County high school in May.

The teenager, now 15, is also charged with the sexual assault of another student that occurred months later at a different Loudoun school. Loudoun County juvenile court Chief Judge Pamela L. Brooks said she would wait to sentence the teen until that case is decided in November.

So why did this particular case create such a firestorm?

After all, girls are raped in our public schools all the time.

So why should this incident get so much attention?

Well, it turns out that the boy that did the raping was wearing a skirt at the time…

While gender fluidity was not raised during the hearing, court documents confirm the male suspect was wearing a skirt when the assault took place, reports Yahoo! News, adding that the female victim testified in court that she was violently coerced into performing sexual acts.

Not wanting to create negative publicity for their radical social agenda, the Loudon County school board kept the rape very quiet.

Subsequently, the school board voted 7-2 to allow transgender students to use whatever bathrooms they want.

As for the rapist, he was transferred to another high school, and at his new school he sexually assaulted another female student in October…

After the assault at Stone Bridge High School, the male student was transferred to Broad Run, where he allegedly assaulted a second female student in early October.

This is what our public schools have become.

If you allow your daughters into those sewers, you are just asking for them to be harmed.

Of course the same is true for your sons.  Just this week, an extremely wild brawl at a school in Manhattan resulted in six school safety agents getting injured…

A raucous brawl triggered by a social media feud erupted at a Manhattan high school Wednesday, leaving six school safety agents injured, sources said.

The melee broke out around lunch time at the Washington Irving High School campus near Union Square when two students squared off in the auditorium over an argument that started on Instagram Live, according to students.

Of course that isn’t much of a shock, because wild brawls erupt in our schools all the time.

These days, the violence has to reach the level of a school shooting in order to make much of an impact in the news.

Sadly, there have been 11 school shootings in the United States just since the beginning of September.

Meanwhile, our public school students aren’t being taught to read, write, talk properly or do math.  Things are particularly bad in the city of Chicago…

But there’s a more fundamental problem: the graduation rate distracts from the fact that CPS officials are pushing out poorly educated children.

Only 26 of Chicago 11th-graders are proficient in English Language Arts and only 27 percent proficient in math according to 2019 Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) data.

Most public school students leave high school without possessing the skills that they need to function on even a very basic level in our society.

But they are being trained how to be politically correct.

This week, I was stunned to learn that a school district in Delaware County has changed their dress code because it was “discriminating” against Satanists…

A local Satanic organization has convinced a school district in Delaware County that its dress code was discriminatory against Satanists.

Joseph Rose, the founder of a local organization called Satanic Delco, says fellow Satanists with children attending schools within the Rose Tree Media School District made him aware of the verbiage in the dress code banning any clothing or gear that are “satanic in nature.”

Our schools may not be safe, and they may not be teaching much of value, but at least they are becoming more welcoming for Satanists.

Our country is rotting from within, and if we stay on this path it won’t take us anywhere good.

How bad does it have to get before people start waking up on a massive scale?

Over the years, we were often warned that one day we would wake up and America would be unrecognizable.

Sadly, that day has already arrived, and our moral collapse continues to get worse with each passing day.

Today, I’m going to go over ALL the ways you can charge a phone without a charger. Why?

• Because sometimes you lose your charger and don’t have time to get a new one.
• Or perhaps you’re away from the electrical grid and a charger does no good.

In either case, knowing ALL your phone charging options is a good idea – just in case, right?

Ok, so let’s dive into the following 6 ways to charge your phone without a charger:

1. Plugging Into A Computer’s USB Port

This first solution may seem extremely obvious to some folks, but I know a lot of people who DON’T realize this until someone else tells them.

Here’s the deal, nowadays, modern smartphone chargers are all USB-based. That means you can disconnect the cable from the charger block and thus it becomes a simple USB cable.

Well…this USB cable is compatible to plug into any USB computer port.

This USB compatibility allows you to easily move data back and forth between your phone and the computer. BUT it also allows power to transfer down this connection as well.

And since a laptop computer is BOTH mobile AND comes with a decent-sized battery, there’s often extra power to spare – enough to keep your phone working (for a while) in a pinch.

Now, eventually, the computer’s battery will also run out IF you don’t have any grid power available. But technically, this is one way to keep a phone charged without a charger.

2. Using A Battery Pack

Next up is a simple battery pack. These are great devices EVERYONE should own. They allow you to keep your phone powered up (off-grid) – like when you’re running around town.

Because we’ve all been there. Your phone is on its last legs from too much use…and you’re almost out of juice. But worst, you don’t have time to leave your phone on a charger for 20 mins because you’re already late for an appointment…

In this case, you don’t need a charger to power up your phone, you need a mobile battery pack.

These compact battery packs are usually very portable and come with a standard USB port. So as long as you’ve got a USB cable for your phone, you’re in business.

5. Car Charger – Lighter Port

Here’s another way to charge your phone while on the go without a charger.

Modern cars all have USB charge ports built-in, so you can just use one of those. And if you own an older vehicle (one that doesn’t have a USB port) you can buy an adapter that plugs into a cigarette lighter.

If you’re looking for an adapter, I recommend you get one that also acts as a survival tool as well. This adapter has a built-in glass breaker as well as a seat belt cutter.

That way, in a vehicle submersion or fire situation, you’ll have the right tools nearby to escape fast and save yourself.

Last but not least, if you have a newer phone, it may have wireless charging capabilities. And if it does, all you need is a charging pad – one that’s compatible with wireless charging technology.

Now, at the time of writing this article, this technology was just starting to become mainstream. But as time goes on, this convenient technology will become more widespread.

Heck, I could see this quickly becoming the most common way to charge a phone without a phone charger. But of course, a wireless pad STILL requires a power source.

So even though this method doesn’t require a charger, it DOES require a pad and a power source. That’s why it’s NOT my favorite solution.

If you’ve been paying attention, you can probably tell favorite solutions are the ones that provide off-grid power solutions. These are the:

1. Solar Charger – (like this Quadra Pro)
2. Hand Crank Radio – (like this one)

These two methods not only bypass a traditional charger but also provide another level of resiliency and features. Thus making them a wise survival investment, period.

So, choose one or both and never be left without the ability to charge your phone, ANYTIME, ANYWHERE without relying on the fragile grid power.

Is there a hidden message in Facebook’s new name?  Like most of you, I was quite surprised to learn that Facebook is going to be called “Meta” from now on.  As one of the biggest corporations in the entire world, this is not something to be done lightly.  I am sure that much deliberation, research and market testing went into that decision.  So either a colossal mistake was made, or Facebook chose a name with a very particular Hebrew meaning on purpose.  According to the Jerusalem Post, Facebook’s new name actually means “dead” in Hebrew…

The name in question, in Hebrew, is the conjugation of the feminine form for “dead” in both present and past tenses, leading many social media users who speak the language to ridicule the rebrand, leading to the hashtag ‘#FacebookDead.’

The Israeli emergency rescue unit Zaka, whose job is to collect human remains to ensure proper burials, shared their take on the rebrand last week, tweeting: “Don’t worry, we’re on it. #FacebookDead” in Hebrew.

If a giant corporation is evaluating a new name for the company, one of the very first things that should be done is to translate it into every major language on the planet to see what it might mean.

So I have a hard time believing that this was just an accident.

And Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg certainly has no excuses, because he was actually raised in the Jewish faith…

Zuckerberg, who was raised as a Reform Jew, made no response to the online ridicule.

Needless to say, a lot of Jewish people had a lot of fun with the announcement of this new name on social media.

But is there something deeper going on here?

Facebook just chose a new name that means “dead” in Hebrew right before Halloween, which is a global celebration of death.

That seems like a really odd “coincidence” to me.

Either intentionally or unintentionally, could it be possible that this name change is foreshadowing something?

This year, we have certainly seen a lot of death.  The number of “excess deaths” is way, way up all over the globe, and this has greatly alarmed many of us.  If you want an example, just check out this chart for the state of Vermont.  People have been dying at an extremely unusual rate, and I believe that we will see much more death in the months ahead.

But is the Facebook name change pointing to something even more significant?

We have been warned that another pandemic is coming for a long time.  Earlier this year, Bill Gates was openly speculating about the pandemic that is going to come after COVID during television interviews, and that definitely raised a lot of eyebrows.

Without a doubt, I believe that our planet is headed toward a time of great death and destruction, and the fact that this Facebook name change was revealed to the public just before Halloween definitely got my attention.

According to Wiccan high priestess Doreen Valiente, the modern celebration of Halloween comes directly from the ancient pagan festival of Samhain…

“Halloween is one of the four Great Sabbats of the witches that everyone has heard about. To witches, Halloween is a serious occasion, however merrily celebrated. It is the old Celtic Eve of Samhain.”

If you look at a Wiccan “wheel of the year”, you will see that Samhain is one of their most important high holy days.  And it is very important to Satanists as well.  The founder of the Church of Satan, Anton LaVey, once made the following statement about Halloween…

“I am glad that Christian parents let their children worship the devil at least one night out of the year. Welcome to Halloween.”

A lot of people think that Halloween is just “innocent fun”, but many of the elements can be traced all the way back to ancient spiritual rituals.  According to the History Channel, ancient Druids would dress up in costumes when it was time to offer “animals as sacrifices to the Celtic deities”…

To commemorate the event, Druids built huge sacred bonfires, where the people gathered to burn crops and animals as sacrifices to the Celtic deities. During the celebration, the Celts wore costumes, typically consisting of animal heads and skins, and attempted to tell each other’s fortunes.

So when you wear a “Halloween costume”, you are participating in a very ancient tradition that originally involved sacrificing animals to appease pagan gods.

Earlier today, the following question that was posted online really got my attention: “In Honor Of Halloween What Is The Most Evil Thing You’ve Done?”

Why would anyone want to ask a question like that?

And why would anyone want to answer?

Sadly, millions of people have eagerly embraced evil, and Halloween has now become one of the most popular “holidays” on the entire planet.

And it is just before this global “celebration of death” that Facebook announced that it would be adopting a new name that means “dead” in Hebrew.

No, none of this is weird at all.

Last week, it was also announced that the CDC is going to start “allowing” some people to get a fourth COVID injection…

People over 18 who are “moderately to severely immunocompromised” and have received three doses of an mRNA vaccine may get a fourth shot (of either the Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson vaccines) at least six months after getting their third Pfizer or Moderna dose, per the CDC.

How long will it be before people start getting their fifth and sixth shots?

Many people are completely fed up with the handling of this pandemic, and Dr. Anthony Fauci’s poll numbers are sinking about as fast as President Biden’s poll numbers.

In fact, at this point a majority of Americans believe that Fauci should resign…

A majority of voters said President Biden’s chief medical advisor, Anthony Fauci, should resign, a new Hill-HarrisX poll finds.

The survey, which was conducted from October 26,27, found that 52 percent of registered voters polled felt Fauci should resign.

By contrast, 48 percent of respondent said he should not.

Of course he isn’t going to resign.

He is just going to keep doing what he is doing, and he has Biden’s full support.

And if the next great pandemic suddenly erupts in 2022, Biden will inevitably put Fauci in charge of that too.

We appear to be trapped in a nightmare that doesn’t seem to want to end, and I have a feeling that a lot more death is on the horizon.
