As much as possible, do your food preparations such as dicing and slicing at home. Put ingredients in containers, and store meats in a cooler. You can also make foil packet meals in advance for your convenience.

Make sure to use the necessary grilling tools and cooking methods. Appropriate cookware will get the job done regardless of what recipe you’ll prepare.

Then, burn a bunch of wood to build a campfire. Choose a safe area where there are no power lines and trees overhead. Additionally, don’t cook on top of open flames. This will only result in burnt food.

Campfire cooking can be tricky, so use a cooking surface and flip your food every now and then. Add salt and olive oil for an extra flavor, but remember that oil can ignite sparks. Have a bottle of water ready to lessen the flames and to put them out once you’re done cooking.

Boiling is the most practical choice for purifying your water when camping. There are three methods on how you can prepare this on an open fire:

  • Tripod method: Make a tripod-like structure by assembling three poles. Tie a rope around them and adjust the sticks before placing them over your campfire.
  • Spring stick method: Look for a y-shaped branch, then trim off the lower part, leaving an inch below the “Y”. Cut off the smaller of the two branches, but keep around three inches on this side. Then, slide the stick down into your water bottle. Holding the stick, you now get your bottle out of your campfire.
  • Rope toggle method: Be sure that the stick is wider than the mouth of your water bottle. Create a v-notch into your stick, and tie your cord onto it. Then, drop the toggle into your bottle so you can lift and move it around.

How Do You Cook Eggs on a Campfire?

Avoid breaking the yokes and burning your eggs over a campfire. Clean your skillet with water, then coat it with canola oil. Afterward, put plenty of butter on your pan to ensure that the eggs won’t stick to it. Use a skillet with enough space to cook your eggs.

Another important tip is to preheat your cast iron. Five minutes before cooking, put your pan over the campfire. This is to ensure even cooking of your eggs.

To achieve clean and white eggs, cook them after your meats. The leftover grease from steak, bacon, or sausage will also make your eggs tastier. Don’t forget to wipe your pan off a bit so your eggs won’t turn black.

How Do You Cook Steak on an Open Fire?

Cooking steak and fish over campfire | campfire cooking

Do the necessary preparations at home so you can cook a perfect steak over a campfire. Bring tools with you such as fireproof gloves, tongs, and a refrigerator shelf.

Choose a bone-in rib-eye or strip that’s two inches thick. Its bone will serve as a heat exchanger for a smooth steak cooking.

Freeze your steak overnight. It’ll thaw on your way to your camping site. Don’t add seasonings such as salt as it’ll remove the moisture from your steak.

Upon your arrival, set up your campfire with three areas. One is where you’ll produce the coals, and the other section is where you’ll move them. The last area is where slow cooking will happen.

Cook each side of the steak over high heat for a couple of minutes. Then, move your steak to the last grilling section and cover it with a lid or foil. Remove the steak from the heat, and allow it to rest for a few minutes before digging in.

House Advanced Impeachment Bill Asking Pence to Invoke 25th Amendment

Donald Trump only has 7 days left in office and yet house democrats are desperate to have him removed before his time is up. Congress has voted to advance a resolution calling on Vice President Mike Pence to initiate a process under the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office.

Pence has already objected to the move, yet democrats continue to push forward. We should all be asking why democrats are so intent upon making sure Trump is impeached a second time. But because the mainstream media cannot be bothered to do anything but brainwash the public with propaganda, we may never know.

The resolution cleared its first hurdle in the House after a 222-204 vote on Tuesday, with lawmakers voting along party lines. However, while no Republicans openly sided with their rivals across the aisle, seven GOP lawmakers did not cast a vote for the bill but have yet to weigh in publicly to explain their decision. As Congress convened to vote, Vice President Pence issued a statement signaling that he would not take up Democrats’ request to invoke the 25th Amendment, saying the move would set a terrible precedent” and would not be “in the best interest of our Nation,” rendering the House resolution largely symbolic. –RT

As big of a deal as Democrats and the media are making this, it must be more than “largely symbolic.” Some say it’s so Trump cannot run for any public office again. But as we’ve been shown, elections are selections, the voters decide nothing and the ruling class with the help of central banking elitists will select who they want to rule over others. Others say it’s so Trump won’t incite violence anymore.  But again, Trump is now censored on every single platform and doesn’t have the opportunity to even speak to the public much for the next 7 days.

So what gives? This could just be all a part of the distraction, or it could be a part of this massive psyop the government is working on right now:

FBI Warns: Armed Protests Planned For All 50 State Capitols

This one is an obvious psyop and they are really attempting to push people to violence and that will result in more gun control and a police state that will make Nazi Germany look tame by comparison. Stay as far away from these types of events as possible.

Stay alert and know what is going on. Take cues from the mainstream media.  They are telling us what they want us all to think and are doing the bidding of the ruling class.  Make sure your preps are in order and you have what you might need.  Be ready for anything because the rulers will do everything they can to keep us as slaves even as the system of oppression they set up falls. In fact, as more figure this out, they could get more desperate.

Wow, That Was Fast…

Over the years, the big tech companies have made enormous amounts of money by monetizing discussions about politics.  But now that Twitter and Facebook have silenced President Trump and have deeply alienated large portions of their user bases, their stock prices are tumbling.  I figured that this would happen, but I didn’t anticipate that it would happen this rapidly.  To be honest, what we are witnessing is nothing short of breathtaking.  For example, at one point on Monday Twitter’s market value had fallen by five billion dollars

As a result of the ban, Twitter stock fell 12 percent on Monday, and the share-price decline wiped $5 billion from the company’s $41 billion market capitalization.

According to Business Insider, the stock likely fell because investors are worried that the ban will diminish interest in the platform and lead to boycotts among those who see the decisions as politically motivated and a way to silence conservative voices.

The executives at Twitter may not have liked it, but President Trump was their number one draw by a very wide margin.

And it is very bad business to kill off your number one source of income, but that is exactly what Twitter just did.

So what will Twitter do now with no Trump?  This is a question that CNBC’s Jim Cramer would very much like an answer to

“I think that there are a lot of people who literally knew that the president was the most important person, and you had to keep checking him, and then you had to check people who talked about him,” Cramer said. “And you just had this endless wave, this web that the president created, and then it was like action and reaction, so I think that the surprise factor of going to Twitter, which was of course the president, is gone!”

In addition to permanently banning Trump, Twitter also decided to ban approximately 70,000 of his followers.

Those bans have alienated millions of other users, and that is a major problem.

With people leaving in droves, Jim Cramer is warning that Twitter desperately needs “a new thesis very, very quickly”

“Twitter’s got to come up with a new thesis very, very quickly because I think they always, they never talked about the power of Trump in bringing in people,” he added. “I am telling you the real Donald Trump was a great sales person for Twitter.”

Meanwhile, investors are bailing on Facebook as well.  In fact, at one point on Monday Facebook’s market cap was down 33.6 billion dollars

Facebook sank as much as 4.5% on Monday as investors continued to balk at the platform’s ban of President Donald Trump.

The slide saw $33.6 billion erased from Facebook’s market cap at intraday lows. Shares have since pared some losses and now trade about 2.6% lower.

These numbers are so absurd that they are difficult for many people to grasp.

How in the world can a single company suddenly be worth 33,600,000,000 less dollars than it was yesterday?

Apparently Facebook has decided that it doesn’t want conservatives on the platform anymore, because they keep alienating conservatives over and over again.

Sadly, we just learned that Facebook has even decided to start going after Ron Paul

Ron Paul shared on Twitter that Facebook had temporarily blocked his account for “violating community standards” but he had no idea why. He posted that his account had not received a warning prior, despite the message saying that his account had committed multiple violations.

Facebook will never be the same after this.

Yes, the company will still be around, but the user base is going to be substantially smaller.

On Monday, I had to smile when I learned that an Internet service provider in Idaho has decided to block Twitter and Facebook unless their customers specifically request that they be unblocked.

What a great idea.  If more Internet service providers started doing the same thing, the big tech companies would start backing off really fast.

And we aren’t just seeing a backlash here in the United States.  Even German Chancellor Angela Merkel is speaking out about how wrong all of this censorship is…

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said Monday through chief spokesman Steffen Seibert that Twitter’s Trump ban is a problem and that corporations should not be messing with free speech, Fortune reported.

“The chancellor sees the complete closing down of the account of an elected president as problematic,” Seibert said, according to Fortune, adding that the freedom of speech “can be interfered with, but by law and within the framework defined by the legislature — not according to a corporate decision.”

The European Union is not exactly a bastion of free speech.

If national leaders over there think that you have gone too far, that is really saying something.

Unfortunately, the days of a free and open Internet are completely gone and they aren’t coming back.  Tyranny will continue to grow in the days ahead, and very dark times for humanity are coming.

It will be very interesting to see how the market moves on Tuesday.  We are starting to witness a tremendous amount of volatility, and that is usually not a good sign.

Speaking of volatility, the cryptocurrency market lost a whopping 150 billion dollars in market value on Monday

Bitcoin and other digital coins tanked on Monday, wiping some $150 billion off the cryptocurrency market.

The market capitalization or value of the cryptocurrency market was $931 billion around 6:00 p.m. ET, down from $1.08 trillion a day earlier, according to Coinmarketcap.

If you have been able to make a lot of money by riding the waves of the cryptocurrency market, good for you.

But just like the stock market, you only make money in the cryptocurrency market if you get out in time.

In the end, the cryptocurrency bubble will burst just like the stock market bubble will.

It is just a matter of time.

The “perfect storm” that began in 2020 will continue to intensify in 2021, and every part of our society will be greatly shaken by it.

Many Americans on both the left and the right are desperate for a political solution to our problems, but no political solution is going to get us out of this mess.

We are going to reap what we have sown, and this is going to be an exceedingly bitter period in our history.

Preparing for the Unexpected: Learning How to Survive an Avalanche

How to Prepare for an Avalanche

1. Take an Avalanche Survival Class

Attending an avalanche survival workshop might not be the fun activity you’ve been waiting for in your ski trip, but it’s definitely a life-saving affair. Learning the basics and must-haves will save you from an icy tight spot!

If you can’t fit a physical class into your schedule, you can opt for webinars and other online lessons. There are also tons of helpful tutorials on the Internet to help you get started.

2. Read Up

When you are reading, look for tips on what to bring, what to expect, and what to do during these emergency situations. Researching about the do’s and don’ts should be your top priority.

3. Prepare an Emergency Bag

You may have sufficient food, adequate water, and a first aid kit—but those supplies aren’t enough to keep you going if you want to make it out alive from an avalanche.

The most important thing you need to have in your emergency gear is a beacon transceiver. This will help you call for help in the event that you get buried into an avalanche.

A shovel will also come in handy for digging out snow, as well as trekking poles to mark your trails. You might be burdened with a heavy bag, but that’s definitely better than rummaging through nothing!

4. Check the Forecast

Before you head out on any trip, make it a habit to always check the forecast. Being able to know ahead of time can help you reschedule your plans to a much safer date.

Forecasts can sometimes turn out to be wrong since they are not 100% accurate. Nevertheless, they’re good indicators for securing your safety so you won’t end up being caught in a snowstorm.

5. Observe Your Surroundings

Checking your surroundings is one of the best precautions to follow in learning how to survive an avalanche. Looking around can guide you toward safer routes and sturdy shelter.

If you see any signs of a previous or recent avalanche, it is strongly recommended to get yourself out of harm’s way and postpone the skiing.

6. Flee to the Sides of the Avalanche

Instead, flee to the sides to prevent getting yourself buried into the snow. You can also go uphill or jump toward a slope.

7. Reach and Grab

Keep an eye out and reach for something big and sturdy, like a tree or a boulder. Major avalanches might crush these along the way, but smaller ones can spare you some to hold on to.

Regardless, grab whatever you can to help you slow down. Your goal is to be rooted to one spot and avoid getting dragged all the way.

8. Keep One Arm Up

man covered snow avalanche stretches out | how to prepare for an avalanche
In the event that you can no longer reach or grab, your best bet is to keep at least one arm up as you slide down. This will help your friends to pull you up or a rescue team to find you among the snow pile.

During these cases, wearing eye-catching gloves will save your life. The reflective variety can also be very useful during nighttime or if it’s dark out.

9. Swim Up

Did you know that swimming is a vital skill in knowing how to survive an avalanche? Once you are deep into the snow, you need to prevent yourself from being trapped any further.

“Swimming up” will get you to the top of the avalanche, where it is much more safe. You can try other aggressive motions with your arms and feet, as long as they can lead you to the surface.

10. Make Room to Breathe

freerider using avalanche beacon find person | how to prepare for an avalancheThe last thing you want to happen to you during this situation is to run out of air to breathe. Asphyxiation is known to be one of the most common causes of avalanche-related deaths, so do your best to stay alert.

Moments before you get buried, keep one arm up and use the other one to cup a hand over your mouth. Once you are underground, move that hand around to create some space. This will give you enough room to allow airflow until help arrives.

You can also do the avalanche spit trick; just continue spitting until you have a pocket of air to breathe. More importantly, your spit can help you determine which way is up and down by gravity and the direction it follows.

11. Remain Calm

It’s natural to panic, but it’s also the worst thing you can do during such an emergency. Work on your breathing and give yourself enough time to calm your nerves. Being calm while responding quickly is the key to keeping yourself alive!

Planning your winter getaway is a lot more fun when you know you are fully prepared for the worst case scenarios. Learning how to survive an avalanche is one of the most important things you need to know before you head out, so make sure to get yourself trained and informed.

It’s Over: Trump Promises “Orderly Transition” On Jan. 20 After Biden Win Certified

This article was originally published by Tyler Durden at ZeroHedge.

Millions of Americans will remember Wednesday as the first time in decades that the US Capitol building was successfully stormed and overrun – though, to be fair, when the British sacked Washington during the War of 1812, they didn’t stop to take selfies with the Capitol Police.

At any rate, the flashes of the chaotic crowd breaking windows and scuffling with police, accompanied by the news that 4 people died during the chaos (1 woman was shot by a Capitol Police officer, while 3 others died during unspecified “medical emergencies”, according to media reports) was enough to convince half the US that a low-key “coup attempt” had just taken place. Though the fact that lawmakers returned to the floor a few hours later to finish up the certification vote sort of undercuts that notion.

Citing Wednesday’s unrest as justification, GOP lawmakers largely dropped their objections and allowed the Electoral College tally to be certified, cementing his win.

And as several staff members reportedly threatened to quit in protest, President Trump published a statement via spokesman Dan Scavino promising an “orderly transition” on Jan. 20. While Bloomberg described the statement as a “concession”, Trump continued to insist that he still “totally disagrees” with the outcome of the election.

“Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th,” Trump said. “I have always said we would continue our fight to ensure that only legal votes were counted. While this represents the end of the greatest first term in presidential history, it’s only the beginning of our fight to Make America Great Again!”

Matt Pottinger, a deputy natsec advisor, and an avowed China hawk is reportedly among the staffers who resigned in protest. Pottinger was recently in the news for going public with new, credible allegations that SARS-CoV-2 leaked from a Chinese lab.

Meanwhile, the president’s twitter account remains locked.

Snapchat joined Facebook and Twitter in blocking the accounts, according to a company spokesman.

Before the vote in the Senate, VP Pence spoke to promise that those who contributed to the chaos will be prosecuted. According to Capitol Police, some 52 people were arrested.

“To those who wreaked havoc in our capitol today, you did not win,” the vice president said. “Violence never wins. Freedom wins. And this is still the people’s House.”

Of the 52 arrests, 47 were related to violations of the 1800 curfew set by Mayor Muriel Bowser. 26 people were arrested on Capitol grounds. Several others were arrested for carrying firearms, either without a license or unlawfully.

In addition, the DC police chief said two pipe bombs were recovered from the headquarters of the RNC and DNC, while a cooler from a vehicle on US Capitol grounds that contained Molotov cocktails. 14 police officers were injured, 2 of whom remain hospitalized after being attacked by members of the crowd. Police said more arrests are expected as investigators will now attempt to identify people from camera footage.

The vote in the Senate was completed early Thursday morning. One senator told reporters that she had backed away from the opposition vote because of the chaos.

“When I arrived in Washington this morning, I fully intended to object to the certification of the electoral votes,” Sen. Kelly Loeffler, who was supposed to take the lead on objecting to results from Georgia, said on the Senate floor Wednesday night. “However, the events that have transpired today have forced me to reconsider, and I cannot now in good conscience object to the certification of these electors.”

By the end of the proceedings, both the House and the Senate had rejected challenges to results in Arizona and Pennsylvania, while no senators signed on to challenges in Georgia and other states.

The FBI late Wednesday asked the public to submit tips, such as images, videos, and other information to help agents identify people who were “actively instigating violence.”

During what several media outlets described as a “siege”, at least one Trump supporter entered the Senate chamber, while others smashed windows in an attempt to break onto the House floor, where police officers brandished guns to keep them away. Police placed the building under lockdown, and lawmakers were instructed to prepare to put on gas masks as pepper spray filled the chamber.

Meanwhile, in keeping with the media narrative that Trump supporters aren’t proud Americans but crypto-fascists hoping to trample on democracy, Joe Biden – speaking from Delaware – said the Capitol’s storming bordered on “sedition” and called “on the mob to pull back and allow the work of the democracy to go forward.”

Though the chaos has subsided, Mayor Bowser’s public emergency declaration will remain in effect for 15 days, allowing her to impose restrictions on people’s movement.
