This didn’t have to happen.  Years of catastrophically bad decisions by the western elite have brought us to the brink of nuclear war.  For more than two years, our leaders have assured us that the Russians were bluffing and that they would never actually risk nuclear war.  But now that Russian warheads are raining from the sky, is there anyone out there that still believes such nonsense?

Last night, the Russians sent a very clear message to the entire world by pummeling Ukraine’s fourth-largest city of Dnipro with warheads from a ballistic missile…

Kyiv Air Force said today that Russia had launched an ICBM at the city of Dnipro in the early hours of the morning.

If firmed up, it marks the first time the nuclear-capable missile has ever been used as part of an ongoing conflict.

Unverified footage appeared to show warheads from the ferocious R-26 Rubezh raining down on Dnipro overnight, lighting up the sky with explosions.

In a video that I just posted on my YouTube channel, I shared footage of these warheads raining down on the city…

Originally, it was being reported that these warheads came from an intercontinental ballistic missile, and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer called this “reckless and escalatory behaviour”…

And UK PM Keir Starmer blasted depot Putin for his “reckless and escalatory behaviour” after the suspected ICBM strike.

He warned that such a move would take the war to another level, calling claims of their use “deeply concerning”.

But shortly thereafter U.S. officials determined that it was a new intermediate-range ballistic missile and not an intercontinental ballistic missile…

Ukraine’s earlier claim that its territory had been struck by an intercontinental ballistic missile fired by Russia is being hotly disputed, hours after widespread reports first appeared. US officials are saying it appears to be a new intermediate-range ballistic missile and not an ICBM which targeted the central city of Dnipro

The NY Times has reported in follow-up of the attack that “several Western officials said that the weapon was not an ICBM and instead was likely an intermediate-range missile that flies shorter distances.”

Zelensky himself had claimed Russia used a new class of missile. “All the parameters — speed, altitude — match those of an intercontinental ballistic missile,” he said. “All expert evaluations are underway.”

During a surprise television address to his nation, Vladimir Putin confirmed that it was a new hypersonic ballistic missile that they have been working on…

According to Putin, Russia retaliated on Nov. 21 with a combined strike against a Ukrainian defense industry facility. In addition, “a field test was conducted in combat conditions” for one of Russia’s newest medium-range weapon systems: a nuclear-free hypersonic ballistic missile. “Our engineers named it ‘Oreshnik’ [‘Hazel’],” Putin declared with a smile.

Putin said Russia is within its rights to use ballistic missiles against “Ukraine’s military targets” and to use weapons against military facilities of those countries that have authorized the use of their weapons against Russia.

Of course the range of this particular missile is not really important.

What is important is the message that the Russians are sending.

They are clearly trying to warn us that next time it could be nuclear warheads that are raining down.

I guess they figured that their words weren’t getting through to our leaders, and so they better do something so over the top that nobody could misinterpret it.

Putin also warned that the Russians are “entitled” to hit the military targets of any nations that are supplying long-range missiles to Ukraine…

Putin also warned Russia was “entitled” to strike military targets of countries whose weapons are used by Ukraine to strike Russian territory in a thinly-veiled threat to the US and Britain.

Ukraine used British-supplied Storm Shadow missiles to strike inside Russia for the first time, a day after using US-made ATACMs to hit a military facility in Bryansk.

“In the event of an escalation of aggressive actions, we will respond just as decisively,” Putin added.

Do you understand what he is telling us?

He is trying to get us to understand that if Ukraine keeps firing long-range missiles into Russia, they could strike U.S. military targets.

In fact, the Russians have already publicly identified a new U.S. base in Poland as a potential target…

Russia has threatened to attack a new US defense base in Poland with “advanced weapons” — just hours after reportedly launching an intercontinental ballistic missile at Ukraine on Thursday.

Moscow leveled the warning after saying the opening of the ballistic missile defense base, located in the town of Redzikowo near the Baltic coast, would lead to an increase in overall nuclear danger.

“Given the nature and level of threats posed by such Western military facilities, the missile defense base in Poland has long been added to the list of priority targets for potential destruction, which, if necessary, can be executed with a wide range of advanced weapons,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.

This is serious.

Sadly, most Americans have absolutely no idea that we are literally on the verge of all-out war with Russia.

The Russians have also declared that the UK is now “directly involved” in the war in Ukraine…

Britain is now “directly involved” in the Ukraine war after its Storm Shadow missiles were used to strike targets inside Russia, according to Moscow’s ambassador.

Speaking to Sky News’ Mark Austin, ambassador to the UK Andrei Kelin also said Ukraine was using “plenty of mercenaries from different countries” in the war.

Here in the western world, we have convinced ourselves that we are not at war with Russia.

But the Russians see things very differently.

The good news is that the Russians see Donald Trump as the last best hope to avoid the sort of all-out war that I have been warning about for years.

So we have a window of opportunity right now.

If we can just get to January 20th, the Russians are very eager to talk to Trump in order to see if something can be worked out.

But if they ultimately determine that they can’t work out something with Trump, all bets are off.

Let us pray that a peace agreement can eventually be reached, because if a full-blown nuclear war erupts most of the U.S. population will die.

Throughout this very long war, the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv has continued to operate even though there has been a constant threat of missile strikes and drone attacks.  But now it has closed because it has received “specific information” that the Russians are about to conduct a “significant air attack”.  By the time many of you read this article, that attack may have already happened.  We don’t know exactly when the Russians will strike, and we don’t know what specific targets they will hit, but it appears that they are gearing up for something really big.

On Tuesday, the Ukrainians fired 6 long-range missiles provided by the United States into Russia.

Then on Wednesday, the Ukrainians fired 12 long-range Storm Shadow missiles provided by the United Kingdom into Russia…

Ukraine has launched several Storm Shadow missiles at targets in Russia’s Kursk region, the Express understands.

Images posted to Telegram purport to show fragments of the British-French-made missiles after explosions were reported in the village of Marine, Kursk, on Wednesday.

The Russians aren’t just going to sit there and absorb these strikes.

Everyone knew that a response would be coming, and now it appears that response is imminent.

Just a little while ago, the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv explained that it has closed due to specific intel that it has received…

The U.S. Embassy in Kyiv has received specific information of a potential significant air attack on November 20. Out of an abundance of caution, the Embassy will be closed, and Embassy employees are being instructed to shelter in place. The U.S. Embassy recommends U.S. citizens be prepared to immediately shelter in the event an air alert is announced.

There are reports that the Russians are preparing to use Tu-95 and Tu-160 strategic bombers to strike Ukraine.  There are also reports that indicate that RS-26 long-range missiles may also be used.

These are very serious weapons.

When Joe Biden allowed the Ukrainians to use long-range missiles to strike Russia, we crossed a very important red line.

In fact, one of the reasons why this entire war started in the first place was because the Russians were determined to keep western missiles out of Ukraine.

Just imagine how we would feel if Russian missiles were being staged just south of the border in Mexico and they were being used to hit U.S. cities.

We should not underestimate the anger of the Russian people at this moment.

On Russian television, pundits are openly talking about how nuclear war with the western world appears to be inevitable, but our leaders just keep assuring us that everything is fine.  On Tuesday, U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin insisted that the Russians are bluffing and that there is no threat of nuclear war…

Austin insisted on NBC Tuesday night that Russian President Vladimir Putin was bluffing about the use of nuclear weapons despite the fact he approved of a new nuclear weapons doctrine that justifies a nuclear response to any major attack on its territory, even with conventional weapons, by a non-nuclear country backed by a nuclear power.

“We’ve known for several weeks that they were revamping their policy on use of nuclear weapons. As I look at, you know, what they’re doing, and I — I — we watch their strategic forces, you know, very carefully, I don’t see a change in their strategic force posture,” Austin said.

“We’ll continue to remain vigilant in this regard. But at this point, no, I — I don’t see an indication that there’s an imminent intent to — to use nuclear weapons.”

I don’t think that there is an “imminent intent” to use nuclear weapons either, but if we keep pushing the Russians into a corner eventually they will feel like they have no choice.

The Russians would very much like to avoid a nuclear conflict, but over time the warnings that they have been issuing have been taken “less and less seriously” by leaders in the western world…

Putin, who began issuing nuclear threats shortly after invading Ukraine in 2022, may want to add credibility to the repeated warnings.

According to the Telegram channel Rybar, close to the Russian military, “Russia’s latest warnings, like its red lines, are taken less and less seriously. In the face of this, the adversary is reducing Russia’s room for manoeuvre.”

If you were running Russia, what would you do if Ukraine was being used as a launchpad for long-range western missiles that were targeting your cities?

You would probably issue very strong warnings at first, but if those warnings had no effect you would eventually be forced to take action.

Ominously, it is being reported that Vladimir Putin has “mysteriously disappeared from public view” since November 7th…

Vladimir Putin has mysteriously disappeared from public view as his regime issued apocalyptic World War Three nuclear threats over the use of long-range Western missiles by Ukraine against Russian territory.

It is unclear if during the past 12 days of high international tension the Kremlin dictator has been holed up in a hi-tech bunker, unwell, underwent another round of plastic surgery, took a secret holiday or simply chose to remain out of sight. Yet Putin, 72, has not been definitively seen since an appearance at the Valdai Forum in Sochi on November 7 when he congratulated a “courageous” Donald Trump on his election victory and hinted he was ready for talks to end the war in Ukraine, according to the Faridaily Telegram channel, which monitors his movements and appearances.

The good news is that I do not believe that a full-blown nuclear showdown with the Russians is going to happen right away.

It appears that the Russians consider Donald Trump to be the final hope for peace, and so I think that they will delay doing anything drastic until they can negotiate with him.

Donald Trump has said that he wants to end the conflict in Ukraine, but he also doesn’t intend to just give the Russians everything that they want.

Meanwhile, our European allies, most members of Congress, and even some members of his own cabinet will be strongly urging Trump to continue fighting the Russians.

So we shall see what happens.

If the Russians ultimately conclude that they can’t reach an agreement with the Trump administration, all bets are off.

Trump really will be holding the future of our society in his hands, and so let us hope that he makes the right decisions.

The “bomb cyclone” that is about to hit California is going to be even worse than the experts originally thought.  It is being projected that this rapidly intensifying “bomb cyclone” will stall near the west coast, and that means that some areas of California, Oregon and Washington could get pounded by very high winds and relentless rain for days.  In fact, the Washington Post is reporting that some areas of California could actually get 20 inches of rain.  That much rainfall in such a short period of time would likely cause extremely destructive flooding.  In the mountains, there will be blizzard conditions in some areas and the amount of snowfall will be measured in feet.

This is truly an extremely rare storm.  Yesterday, I explained that experts were warning that the central pressure of this storm would fall so fast that it would double the criteria for a bomb cyclone.

But now we are being told that this storm could actually become a “triple-bomb”.  The following comes from a CNN article entitled “A once-in-a-decade bomb cyclone is taking shape off the West Coast”…

A powerful “bomb cyclone” will combine with an atmospheric river to unleash over a month’s worth of rain, hurricane-force wind gusts and feet of mountain snow to parts of the Pacific Northwest and Northern California.

A storm system off the Pacific Northwest is expected to rapidly intensify on Tuesday in a phenomenon called “bombogenesis” and earn it the moniker of “bomb cyclone.” It will intensify so much so quickly that it could become a “triple-bomb,” tripling the criteria needed to be considered a bomb cyclone, the National Weather Service in San Francisco said.

I have never heard of a “triple-bomb” storm before.

Our weather is getting so crazy that they are actually having to invent new terms to describe it.

According to one climate scientist, it appears that this storm will be “one of the strongest low-pressure systems on record in the region”…

The cyclone’s rate of intensification means it could be “one of the strongest low-pressure systems on record in the region,” Daniel Swain, a climate scientist at the Institute of the Environment and Sustainability at the University of California, Los Angeles, wrote on the social platform X. “This very strong low will generate hurricane-force sustained winds well offshore,” generating waves up to 60 feet (18 meters) in height, he added.

Of course the sheer intensity of this storm is just part of the story.

The “bomb cyclone” will be funneling moisture from a Category 5 atmospheric river to the west coast, and it is expected to “stall along the coast and hammer the area with hazardous conditions through the week and into the weekend”…

This bomb cyclone will work with an atmospheric river, a long plume of water vapor moving like a river through the atmosphere, to wring out heavy rainfall and significant mountain snowfall in the Pacific Northwest and Northern California beginning Tuesday. The pair will stall along the coast and hammer the area with hazardous conditions through the week and into the weekend.

Parts of northwestern California could record 16 inches of rain or more in 48 hours. More than a month’s worth of rain is expected in the northern San Francisco Bay area, primarily north of the Golden Gate Bridge, the weather service there said. Rainfall of this magnitude is expected to cause significant urban flooding, debris flow on roadways and river flooding.

This is going to be a disaster that plays out over several days.

According to Accuweather, we could see wind speeds of up to 90 mph along the west coast…

“The storm’s fastest increase in strength will be from Tuesday to Wednesday, and correspondingly, that is when the strongest winds (50-70 mph) will be felt from the south along the immediate Pacific coast and from the southeast in and east of the Cascades and Siskyous,” Zehr said.

The AccuWeather Local StormMax wind gust on Tuesday night is 90 mph, which is close to a Category 2 on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind scale.

This is not a hurricane, but it will produce winds that are like a Category 2 hurricane.

When I first heard that, it got my attention immediately, and many of you out there know what I am talking about.

According to Axios, just off the coast of Vancouver Island we could see wind speeds of up to 100 mph…

Even stronger winds, of up to 100 mph, are likely off the coast of Vancouver Island and west of Washington state, as the bomb cyclone reaches its peak intensity by Wednesday, before drifting off the coast while weakening into the weekend.

The high winds will do quite a bit of damage, but I expect flooding to do even more.

Accuweather is telling us that some areas will get about a foot of rain, and other areas could actually see a total of about 20 inches…

From Tuesday night to Wednesday, the atmospheric river will be mainly directed at the southwestern Oregon and Northern California coasts. In this area, from 8-12 inches of rain will fall from Tuesday to Friday with an AccuWeather Local StormMax rainfall of 20 inches.

Do you remember how the immense devastation caused by Hurricane Helene caught everyone by surprise?

I think that we could potentially be facing a similar scenario with this storm.

It is all going to depend on how long it stalls off the west coast.

Interestingly, this is all happening just after a “doomsday fish” washed up on a beach in Southern California…

A so-called “doomsday fish” has washed up on a Southern California beach — typically an extremely rare occurrence, but this is the second time this year it has happened. The rare oarfish found on Grandview Beach in Encinitas measured roughly 9 to 10 feet and was spotted by a doctoral candidate at Scripps Institute of Oceanography, the school wrote on social media.

For years, I warned that our planet was becoming increasingly unstable, and at first a lot of people criticized me for saying that.

Not too many are criticizing me for saying such things these days.

We really are living in apocalyptic times, and in the years ahead we will see things happen that are far beyond anything that Hollywood ever dreamed up.

If you live on the west coast, please be very careful over the next several days.

This is a storm that you do not want to mess with.

Gates is trying to argue that the judge in the Netherlands who is pursuing him has no jurisdiction, but a ruling was still issued that aligns with one out of the U.S. back in August that allowed Kennedy to sue the Biden regime for pressuring social media companies to censor truthful information about COVID injections. –Natural News

“The Court finds that Kennedy is likely to succeed on his claim that suppression of content posted was caused by actions of Government Defendants, and there is a substantial risk that he will suffer similar injury in the near future,” said U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty of Louisiana in his August ruling in favor of Kennedy’s position. “The court also firmly found in plaintiffs’ favor that plaintiffs had not waived – and indeed had affirmatively raised – direct censorship claims in addition to listener claims.”

Additionally, the Children’s Health Defense (CHD) general counsel Kim Rosenberg commended Judge Doughty for “carefully and clearly” analyzing the law and facts while applying “the framework from the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent decision in Murthy v. Missouri regarding standing.”

Politicians are notorious for talking the talk without actually walking the walk, so to speak. They like to play around with fancy words, but never actually do anything they have promised. All we are left with after each administration is more tyranny, more laws, higher taxes and inflation, and less liberty and freedom.

Maybe it’s time to look past the need to be ruled and start looking at what it might be like if we owned ourselves and weren’t beholden to any master.

Seeking to impose restrictions and extract money from people and nations for the benefit of well-heeled sponsors, it plays no useful role in the lives of many beyond providing a potential career path for those who want travel, a good salary, and a feeling of altruistic superiority. Through its role in the abrogation of human rights and impoverishment of hundreds of millions during the COVID response, it has spawned an ‘Exit the WHO’ movement standing on the supremacy of individual and national sovereignty.

This is understandable, but it also risks being naive and simplistic. If the WHO is to be torn down, those advocating for this should first recognize why it exists, and its limitations and context. It is not a world hegemonic power and cannot be, but it reflects a far deeper and more complex threat to basic human rights, democracy, and global health itself. Formed to help reduce global inequality in human health, it has contributed to a steady improvement in population health in the past, just as it has shown more recently that it can make things worse. Its actions and outputs reflect its masters, not an independent entity gone rogue.

The WHO therefore needs to be addressed as part of a wider problem. If a privileged few are seeking some sort of global hegemony, the response cannot be based on the wishes of another privileged few. It must involve those who are most helped and most harmed, who pay for the WHO, and who may still rely on it. If this is about sovereign people and sovereign States reasserting their interests, then this is who must own the answer.

The Betrayal of the Peoples

Since 2020, the WHO has orchestrated and condoned one of the most devastating assaults on individual and societal health the world has seen. At the behest of highly conflicted sponsors, this international bureaucracy promoted policies that overwhelmingly harmed the world’s most disadvantaged. The organisation turned on those whom it had been set up to serve, returning to the pre-World War II mindset of technocratic authoritarianism that characterised public health in the era of eugenics, colonialism, and European fascism.

Knowing fully the impact of their actions, the WHO helped force over a hundred million additional people into severe food insecurity and poverty and up to ten million additional girls into child marriage and sexual slavery. It helped deprive a generation of the schooling needed to lift themselves out of poverty and grew national debts to leave countries at the mercy of global predators. This was an intentional response to a virus they knew from the beginning was rarely severe beyond sick elderly people. The WHO helped orchestrate an unprecedented transfer of wealth from those it was originally tasked to protect to those who now sponsor and direct most of its work. Lacking any contrition, the WHO is now seeking increased public funding through misrepresentation of risk and return on investment to entrench this response.

How an Institution Rots

Through its Constitution written in 1946, the WHO was intended to promote the equality of peoples emerging from the wreckage of a World War and colonialism, with all nation-states standing equal and independent as its only authority. This continued through the Declaration of Alma Ata in 1978, placing the needs and requirements of communities under their sovereign governments as the core focus, and informer, of public health.

Like all human institutions, this could not last. High salaries and business-class travel to exotic places attract people who like, and come to believe they are entitled to, such privileges. Staff dependent on an organisation for such benefits come to prioritise its welfare over the needs of those it was supposed to serve. Workers detached from the impacts of their actions soon find self-advancement, tenure and pensions, which are achieved by listening to their funders rather than those impacted by their actions.

Watching the director of my department at the WHO drop everything when the private funder calls his phone was humiliating, but also a betrayal of the WHO’s core mission. The handshakes of the Director-General with the representatives of corporate authoritarianism at Davos are a similar betrayal. A servant cannot serve two masters.

Grown into a vast and detached bureaucracy nearly 80 years old, the WHO is anything but a representative of the world’s people. Its abortion guidelines instruct countries to ensure abortion to the time of delivery whilst denying requirement for discussion, while guidance it produces for childhood education on sexuality and gender shows, at best, a similar gross disregard for cultural diversity. Incessant climate alarmism from a business class seat, lobbying against improved fossil fuel access for the world’s poorest, reinforces inequality. An apparent war against meat adds a further disregard for science.

The WHO therefore seems ripe for the dustbin of history. However, it is more a tool than a devil. As part of a vast and growing global health industry driving a vertical commodity-based approach, it is one of many institutions serving the desires of those who have hijacked it. Removing one hammer from a wrecker will not prevent him from demolishing a house, just gives those trying to save the house a false sense of achievement. You save the house by stopping the wreckers. Like any other tool, the hammer still has a useful purpose.

To be specific, the problems that the WHO exemplifies will not go away if the WHO does. The pandemic agenda that has dominated the last few years serves as an example. As a wealth-concentration tool for private corporations, their investors, and the national bureaucracies with which they increasingly partner, it has many alternate paths of implementation. The recent round of International Health Regulation amendments at the WHO was initiated by a United States administration, not the WHO itself. Pharmaceutical investors and countries with heavy pharmaceutical sectors dominate the WHO’s funding and specify its actions. The WHO is a willing sycophant and puppet more than a hegemon.

Of equal importance, for all its corruption and abandonment of ethics, some of the WHO’s work still saves lives. So do partner organizations across the global health industry. They support low-resource countries in dealing with endemic infectious diseases and demonstrably reduce mortality through this. They play a significant role in reducing exposure to fake pharmaceuticals – one of the largest criminal industries on Earth. They still support the strengthening of under-resourced health systems. Their irrelevance in supporting the health of many is not common to all. Advocates for the complete cancellation of the WHO need to explain how they will continue support where WHO support is currently needed. It is not for them to choose who lives and who dies.

Exiting Malfeasance and Greed

To arrest the degradation of health, human rights, and sovereignty, we need an exit strategy from unethical public health. This will require an exit strategy from approaches mired in conflict of interest and an emphasis on evidence rather than corporate profit. For the sake of both donor country taxpayers and the recipients of their support, we need an exit strategy from external dependency in order to achieve health independence. This is what sustainability and equity mean, words of which global health profiteers are so fond. These changes need to be sector-wide, not just the WHO.

All this is possible, though the end result in terms of structure is uncertain. This uncertainty is important as the path must be developed, not dictated. However, there are blatantly obvious places to start. There is no compatibility between the needs of private corporations and the health independence of the world’s population. The reasons people in wealthy countries live longer – sanitation, nutrition, better living conditions, and access to low-cost and off-patent health commodities – are poor paths to corporate profit. They require the growth of local economies, which thrive on local decision-making and local knowledge. External health agencies may fill gaps and support in times of crisis, but building vertical institutions to entrench external control, as the current pandemic agenda aims to do, is the antithesis of good and sustainable planning.

In a well-functioning system, health agencies would be working themselves out of existence as local capacity replaces them. Long-term tenure and private money could have no role, with countries clearly in charge. Beyond a meeting place and repository of ideas and voluntary standards, and support in requests in times of crisis, supra-national bureaucracies should have little role. Wealthy countries don’t need the WHO now, despite the hype, misrepresentation, and claims of never-ending crises designed to make our international agencies appear relevant. A legitimate WHO would be in Nairobi rather than Geneva, close to areas of greatest need, and if effective in addressing them it would steer itself into irrelevance.

In the meantime, the worst we could do, besides continuing the current destructive course, is to leave a vacuum. That will be fine for the privileged laptop class, but the world is bigger than that. With calm urgency and adherence to the principles intended to underlie public health, radical reform must proceed without exacerbating the very problems we are seeking to address.

How that looks, and how we get there, will be an interesting journey. Proceeding with care and recognizing the diverse needs of all is an essential starting point. But it also has to happen quickly, as the world will not well withstand another round of covid-like plundering. The recent political changes in the WHO’s largest funder, the United States, whilst distressing to those who have profited so much through the corruption of recent years, open an exciting door through which this journey could happen.

A discovery of absolutely epic proportions has just been revealed, but the corporate media in the United States almost entirely ignored it.  A team of scientists led by Dr. Irving Finkel has deciphered the oldest map in the world, and we are being told that it actually reveals the location of Noah’s Ark.  This is huge news, but the corporate media in our country was so focused on the presidential election that they barely took notice of it.  Fortunately, many foreign news outlets published feature stories about this amazing discovery.  For example, the following comes from the Jerusalem Post…

Scientists have recently unlocked the secrets of the world’s oldest map, a 3,000-year-old clay tablet known as the Imago Mundi, which is believed to show the location of Noah’s Ark. The ancient Babylonian artifact, etched with cuneiform—a script using wedge-shaped symbols—has puzzled archaeologists for centuries. Discovered in what is now Iraq in 1882, the tablet is housed at the British Museum, where it has become one of its famous collections.

The Imago Mundi depicts a circular world map, illustrating early Babylonian ideas about the world’s creation. The map is thought to show the entire known world at the time, with Mesopotamia at the bottom center.

This ancient Babylonian artifact deeply puzzled researchers for many years.

But now the code has been cracked, and the reverse side of the artifact contains incredibly stunning information…

On the reverse side of the artifact, passages reportedly provide a guide describing what a traveler would encounter on their journey, including a path to “Urartu” and specific instructions on how to get there. One passage says: “To the fourth, to which you must travel seven leagues.” Another passage reportedly instructs those on the journey to go through “seven leagues to see something that is thick as a parsiktu-vessel.”

The term “parsiktu” appears on other ancient Babylonian tablets, referencing the scale of a vessel meant to withstand the legendary Great Flood. Researchers believe that Urartu, also known as Ararat, is linked to an ancient Mesopotamian poem recounting a family who, like Noah, landed their ark to preserve life following the 150-day flood. As the flooding ended, they were safely stationed at one of the peaks of Urartu, which aligns with “Ararat,” the Hebrew term for the mountain where Noah’s Ark is said to have come to rest after the flood.

I was floored when I first saw this.

According to Dr. Finkel, there is no doubt that Ararat “is the Hebrew equivalent of the Assyrian ‘Urartu’”…

“The first place you come to is called ‘Urartu’, it’s drawn on the map. Now, the interesting thing about that is that in the Bible Noah, in his Ark, landed on a mountain where the name is ‘Ararat’ and ‘Ararat’ is the Hebrew equivalent of the Assyrian ‘Urartu’. That’s quite a meaty thing, quite an interesting thing to think about because it shows that the story was the same, and of course that one led to the other but also, that from the Babylonian point of view, this was a matter of fact thing,” said Finkel.

He added, “If you did go on this journey, you would see the remnants of this historic boat which saved all the life of the world for the long-term future.”

This is one of the biggest archaeological bombshells in history, and the British Museum has released a video in which Dr. Finkel shares more details about this remarkable discovery.

So if Noah’s Ark really did come to rest in Urartu, is it still there?

If you go to that region today, there is a geological formation that matches the exact dimensions of Noah’s Ark that we are given in the Bible almost perfectly…

It’s hard to ignore the striking shape of the Durupinar formation. From the ground, the site appears as an enormous, 538-foot-long mound, tapering to a point much like the bow of a ship.

For decades, this feature alone has drawn adventurers, scientists, and Ark enthusiasts to the region, hoping that this natural wonder could be the key to unlocking the truth behind one of the Bible’s most enduring stories.

The physical characteristics of the site align closely with the biblical description of the Ark: “A length of three hundred cubits, a width of fifty cubits, and a height of thirty cubits.”

In order to determine the approximate age of the formation, scientists tested nearly 30 samples of rock and soil that were gathered from the site…

Was it merely a natural formation, or could it truly be the petrified remains of the legendary Ark?

In order to answer this, the researchers began collecting nearly 30 samples of soil and rock from the site, each carefully chosen to help unlock the geological secrets of the mound.

The scientific tests determined that the samples of rock and soil were “between 3,500 and 5,000 years old”, and this matches what we would expect if Noah’s Ark really is sitting inside the Durupinar formation…

Their analysis, conducted at Istanbul Technical University, aimed to determine the formation’s age and composition, focusing on identifying signs of ancient human presence or evidence suggesting the area had once been submerged underwater.

The samples’ initial dating places them between 3,500 and 5,000 years old, coinciding with the biblical timeline of Noah’s flood, according to the report. The team also discovered clay-like substances and marine materials within the soil.

Of course that is not all of the evidence that we have that this really could be the resting place of Noah’s Ark.

Ground-penetrating radar has revealed “intriguing angular structures” that are “not typically associated with natural geological formations”…

In the period between the 1970s to the mid-1990s, interest in this peculiar site surged, thanks in large part to the exploration and research efforts of American adventurer and researcher, Ron Wyatt, and a team of Turkish scientists. More recent investigations carried out in 2014 and 2019 by independent private geophysical survey teams have further contributed to the intrigue surrounding the Durupinar formation. These studies, using ground-penetrating radar (GPR), unveiled subterranean layers and intriguing angular structures, characteristics not typically associated with natural geological formations.

To me, the images that ground-penetrating radar have produced are quite conclusive.

And we know that large amounts of petrified wood are inside the Durupinar formation.

In fact, I personally know someone that made a journey to the Durupinar formation many years ago and touched the petrified wood of the Ark with his own hands.

I very much hope that the Durupinar formation will be carefully excavated during the years ahead, because I want the whole world to see that the Ark really is there.

Needless to say, so many other historical accounts in the Bible have also been confirmed by archaeologists in recent years.  In fact, as I point out in my new book, archaeology and the Bible have never contradicted one another…

In our time, archaeologists have made all sorts of amazing discoveries in the Middle East, but none of those discoveries has ever contradicted any information that we have in the Bible.  Archaeologist Dr. Nelson Glueck once stated that “no archaeological discovery has ever controverted a Biblical reference”, and he was one of the most highly regarded archaeologists on the entire planet.

Another very highly regarded archaeologist, Dr. John Ora Kinnaman, also had a tremendous amount of respect for the accuracy of the Bible.  He once said that “of the hundreds of thousands of artifacts found by the archeologists, not one has ever been discovered that contradicts or denies one word, phrase, clause, or sentence of the Bible, but always confirms and verifies the facts of the biblical record”.

What will it take for the skeptics to finally admit the truth?

When the Bible speaks on matters of history, it is always accurate.

As for Noah’s Ark, it still exists and it is waiting to be excavated.

Please pray that an excavation will be allowed by the appropriate authorities before it is too late.

To start off, let’s take a minute to watch one of the original videos that started this clay pot heater frenzy:

So the idea is to use stacked terracotta pots and a couple of candles to generate enough heat to warm a room.

With my engineering background, it’s hard to see how math can work out on a project like this.

A candle flame only puts out so much heat, and it’s small compared to even a modest electric space heater.

After analyzing kerosene vs. propane heaters, I was extremely skeptical, to say the least.

But most projects like this are based on some bit of truth, so it was worth exploring.

It turns out that people have been building versions of a candle-powered heater for years.

And there are lots of videos and plans to build your own DIY version of it at home (which you can find later in this article).

Now, nearly all candle-powered heaters share a few things in common.

You will already know basic clay pot heater design from watching the videos above.

A heater body is formed with nesting clay pots, often separated by and attached to a central steel bolt.

The bolt has additional steel washers in the spaces between pots to form a basic heat exchanger.

This clay pot structure is usually nested at least two levels deep.

This setup creates a series of internal spaces between the pots.

Once constructed, the heater body is flipped over and supported by bricks, pans, or a metal stand.

This allows you to position the center bolt directly above a small candle.

When the candle is lit, the flame heats the steel bolt directly, causing it to heat the clay pots.

The pots also trap the hot air rising from the flame.

This “trap” slows the heat escape into the surrounding cold air and gives it time to heat the clay further.

As the candle burns, the interior chambers can reach relatively high temperatures.

All the candle heat slowly builds in the mass of the clay pots.

After some time, you can begin feeling the heat on the outside surface of the largest pot.

Such a simple idea, but does it really work?

Before I attempt to answer that question, let’s see what others have said about the clay pot heater.

In my research, I found many passionate people who favor clay pot heaters and those against them.

These little heaters have caused quite a stir.

People share videos of them working like a charm to warm a small room, while others debunk such claims.

And the debate is not always civil; I stumbled across a surprising amount of name-calling!

So, let’s review the main arguments for and against the clay pot heater.

But Can They “Technically” Heat A Room?

How much can you really heat up a room with one of these candle heaters?

“Technically,” it’s the same as you can without one.

The first law of thermodynamics states:

The total energy in a system will remain constant.

Burning the candle releases stored chemical energy, converting it to heat and light.

The amount of energy released is the same whether you have clay pots or not.

Adding a candle heater above the flame doesn’t add heat to the room.

Since each tea candle produces only about 30 Watts, you’ll need dozens to heat even a small room.

Sure, you can buy them in bulk – for example, here are 125 of them for only $12.79 (that’s 10 cents each).

But they’ll only last a few hours before you need to replace them.

So why all the fuss about candle heaters? Why are so many people still building them?

Here’s the exciting part.

While a candle heater doesn’t increase the heat the burning candle releases.

It DOES allow you to convert that heat from one transfer mode to another.

Thus, it makes heat much more useful to humans.

3 Types Of Heat Transfer

There are three types of heat transfer: convection, conduction, and radiation.

1. Convection

Convection is when a gas or fluid is heated and circulates within a space.

This is heat transfer via moving particles.

This is how most of the heat leaving the candle is transferred.

The rising column of hot air takes the heat and mixes it with the cooler surrounding air.

This process slowly brings the temperature of the room up.

If the room is large and the air is cold, you can imagine how little the effect will be.

2. Thermal Conduction

Conduction happens when a warmer object comes in contact with a cooler one.

Heat is transferred from the warm object to the cold one directly.

In the case of the candle, touching the hot wax would transfer heat to your finger via conduction – ouch!

3. Thermal Radiation

Finally, radiation is the transfer of heat by infrared radiation.

With our light tea candle, there’s a small amount of radiated heat from the burning wick.

However, it’s not an effective means of heating your hands, let alone a room.

There isn’t enough mass in the candle wick to radiate a large amount of heat.

OK, enough science; back to our candle heater –

Why There Candle Heaters Do Work (sort of)

Again, these clay pot heaters will never generate more heat than a candle without clay pots.

Because, well – science.

So what’s going on here? Why are so many people convinced these heaters do work?

The flowerpot heater does not increase the heat; just its usefulness.

Here’s what’s happening…

The candle under the clay pot heats the air rising via convection into the clay pots.

That superheated air is immediately trapped in the clay pots.

This means the candle heat collects and builds before it can dissipate and mix with the cold air in the room.

The trapped hot air heats the cold clay and steel, which acts as a larger thermal mass (a.k.a. an object that stores heat (or heat battery)).

Once the heater core is warmed up, it radiates heat from the outside surface.

This build-up and radiation make it much easier to “feel” the heat on your skin.

Think of how a campfire puts off radiant heat that warms us.

In addition to radiating heat, the heater surface can reach a nice hand-warming temp.

You can wrap your hands around the outer pot and heat them via conduction.

Imagine putting your hands around a hot mug of coffee – a similar idea.

Note: The more candles you use, the shorter time you can keep your hands on the surface.

Lastly – heat from a candle (without clay pots) will go straight up in a thin column to the ceiling – and stays there.

This ceiling heat provides zero benefits to the room’s occupants.

And it certainly provides no radiant heat.

However, when trapped under an inverted clay pot, the clay absorbs every bit of heat from the candle.

And thus, it allows it to radiate from a lower vertical location in the room (instead of at the ceiling).

So again, it’s a ‘heat battery,’ storing the heat near the floor.

Thus, helping more of it stay in a part of the room where it can be more efficient at heating our bodies.

So the bottom line is:

The thermodynamics laws are still valid (as they always will be).

But these laws can also miss the point.

The laws don’t always do a great job of accounting for real-world variables such as radiant heat vs. convection and floor vs. ceiling location.

These heaters aim to make a human feel warmer closer to the floor.

These candle heaters can do just that.

In my research, I found people who made worthwhile modifications to the original clay pot heater design.

The Hanging Setup Upgrade

This upgrade is more of an aesthetic upgrade and prevents heat damage to your coffee table (or other support structure).

The Sterno Can Upgrade

One modification was to upgrade the heat source from a tea candle to a Sterno can.

Of course, using 2 or 3 Sterno cans will create A LOT more BTUs than the same number of candles.

So, if you use larger heat sources and larger clay pots, you’ll get more heat.

Enough heat to indeed raise the temperature of a small room.

So maybe it makes sense to have the upgraded Sterno can version as a backup for a winter power outage…

You know – just in case.

But with more heat, you have also increased the possibility of a house fire.

Caution – Use At Your Own Risk

Before you begin using a clay pot heater, you must use caution.

They can be extremely dangerous, especially if you let them burn unattended.

Don’t leave them lit if you’re leaving your home; never do so while sleeping.

The paraffin wax will melt if too many candles are put into a tight space.

This wax can then become lit (not just the wick).

A large fire can begin spilling out of the clay pot setup, and the liquid wax may drip down and out.

Candles are a leading cause of house fires, so you should take the same level of precaution.

Open flames are not something to take for granted.

Final Thoughts

I think we can safely say that a small candle heater won’t be heating your house soon.

However, a candle heater is enough to warm up some icy fingers!

And it makes you feel a bit warmer as well.

If you’re going to burn a candle for light anyway, you may as well have a heater core above it to trap the heat, too.

The flowerpot does not increase the amount of heat, just its usefulness.

But for winter emergency heating, you’ll need to upgrade to using Sterno cans or get yourself a kerosene or propane heater.

You should always have one of these as a backup for each family member.

Because these last resort warmth tools are an effective and inexpensive insurance policy.
