Colt and CZ just partnered up on a pretty incredible promotion. Derived from the historic merger of the two iconic brands into one company in 2021, the CZ &
Colt Tribute to Legends pistols offer 50 matched pairs unlike any others.

CZ & Colt Tribute to Legends

The limited edition Tribute to Legends pistols are available at auction via NFT right to purchase tokens. The auction lasts through April 27. At press time, current bids for the right to purchase hovered around $3,000 Euros, or about $3,300. Then if you win the auction, the limited edition pair command another 20,000 Euro, coming in around $22,000.

So yeah, these pistols command some hefty pennies to be sure. But you won’t find another Colt 1911 or CZ 75, two of the most iconic pistols of all time, anywhere like them. The Tribute to Legends edition serial number range runs includes COLT2021001 to COLT2021050 for the Colt 1911 and CZ2021001 to CZ2021050 for the CZ 75. The serial number nomenclature refers to the year of the Colt-CZ merger. Each corresponding magazine also features the same unique serial number engraved on its gold-plated base plate.

The “Right to Purchase” tokens auction creates vouchers for the right to purchase a specific pistol. These digital assets, backed by blockchain technology, make them unique. This protects against duplications, allowing consumers to trade them safety on the Colt CZ Group marketplace. Three sets with the serial numbers COLT2021002, COLT2021009 and COLT2021013, and CZ 75 CZ2021002, CZ2021009 and CZ2021013 are currently at auction.

The Colt CZ Group plans to auction each set of pistols separately. Bidders may bid on the serial numbers of their choice and any number of NFT tokens. Once bidders win the auction to reserve their serial number, the physical pistols are then sold separately to the bidder. The voucher and pistol purchase cost remain independent of one another.
