While Canadian officials publicly claimed to have “paused” weapons exports to Israel in early 2024, a damning new report reveals the Trudeau government secretly fast-tracked hundreds of military shipments — including more than 420,000 bullets and critical F-35 jet components — through loopholes and pre-approved permits.

The findings, compiled by a coalition of watchdog groups, expose a systematic deception by Ottawa to placate growing public outrage over its complicity in Israel’s genocide of Palestinians, all while maintaining unconditional support for the apartheid state.

Lies wrapped in bureaucracy

According to the 58-page report titled “Exposing Canadian Military Exports to Israel”, commercial shipping data and Israeli tax records prove that at least 390 shipments from 21 Canadian manufacturers reached Israel between October 2023 and July 2025. These included 735 cartridge parts, navigation sensors for F-35 stealth jets, radar systems, and GPS antennas — many destined for Elbit Systems, Israel’s largest weapons firm, which human rights groups accuse of manufacturing tools for ethnic cleansing.

“Shipments of arms to Israel were allowed to proceed under hundreds of previously approved permits,” the report states. “This communications ploy allowed Canadian companies to continue to profit from Israel’s genocide while the Federal government misled Canadians.” The authors, including the Palestinian Youth Movement and World Beyond War, accuse Canada of violating both domestic and international law by fueling a war that has killed over 60,000 Palestinians, nearly half of them children.

The F-35 connection: Canada’s fingerprints on Gaza bombings

A key revelation centers on Canada’s role in supplying parts for Lockheed Martin’s F-35 jets, which Israel has used to obliterate civilian “safe zones” like the July 2024 bombing of al-Mawasi that killed 90 Palestinians. The report identifies three Canadian firms — Stelia Aerospace, CMC Electronics, and Nexeya — as critical suppliers of components worth $2.1 million per jet.

“The F-35 cannot conduct air strikes without Canadian parts,” the report emphasizes. Yara Shoufani of the Palestinian Youth Movement told Middle East Eye: “Elbit, as a weapons manufacturer, has really come to be seen across the world as synonymous with genocide. For the Canadian government to be allowing these manufacturers based in Canada to send weapon components to Israel’s largest weapon manufacturer is something that should really raise alarms.”

How Canada smuggles weapons under passenger planes

The report details two primary export routes: direct shipments to Israel and indirect transfers through the U.S., exploiting a loophole that bypasses Canadian permitting requirements for war-torn regions. Shockingly, researchers identified 67 instances where military cargo, such as bullets and jet parts, was loaded onto passenger flights operated by Air Canada, Lufthansa, and even Etihad Airways.

“So here we’re talking about major airlines like Lufthansa, Air France, Air Canada, Air Transat, where essentially components are being loaded onto planes that have passengers headed to holiday destinations,” Shoufani noted, highlighting the grotesque normalization of arming a genocide. Meanwhile, Israeli import records reviewed by CBC News show entries as recent as June 2025 for 15,000 units of “parts and accessories of military weapons” from Canada, directly contradicting government claims.

Despite Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly’s September 2024 declaration that “We will not have any form of arms or parts of arms be sent to Gaza, period,” Global Affairs Canada admitted it only suspended 30 permits while allowing hundreds more to proceed. Government data confirms Israel remained Canada’s fourth-largest military customer in 2024, with $13.8 million in authorized transfers.

When pressed, a Global Affairs spokesperson refused to explain how Canada ensures weapons aren’t used in Gaza, citing “commercial confidentiality.” Meanwhile, Quebec-based arms giant General Dynamics shipped cartridges labeled as “non-lethal training materials” to Israel just days after Joly’s pledge, according to CBC.

The report demands an immediate two-way arms embargo, the cancellation of all active permits, and an end to indirect U.S. transfers. As Rachel Small of World Beyond War starkly warned: “What this report reveals is not bureaucratic oversight; what this looks like is systematic deception. It makes Canada directly complicit in what scholars and organizations all agree is a genocide.”

With 55% of Canadians now supporting an arms suspension, according to the National Council of Canadian Muslims, the country’s government faces a reckoning. Once again, the American police state is choosing to protect predators, not victims.

Jeffrey Epstein—the hedge fund billionaire/convicted serial pedophile and sex trafficker—may be dead, but the machinery that empowered and protected him is still very much alive.

You see, the Epstein case was never just about Epstein—it was about the entire edifice of power that shields the ruling class, silences victims, and erases accountability.

Thus, the latest about-face declarations from the Trump administration—that Epstein had no client list, that he did in fact kill himself, and that there’s nothing more to discuss or investigate so we should just move on—have only reinforced what many have suspected all along: the system is rigged in order to protect the power elite because the power elite are the system.

In this age of partisan politics and a deeply polarized populace, corruption—especially when it involves sexual debauchery, depravity, and predatory behavior—has become the great equalizer.

With the reemergence of Jeffrey Epstein’s ghost in the public discourse, we are once again reminded of just how deep the rot goes.

Politics, religion, entertainment, business, law enforcement, the military—it doesn’t matter the arena or affiliation: all are riddled with the kind of seedy, depraved behavior that gets a free pass when it involves the powerful.

For years, the Epstein case has stood as a grotesque emblem of the depravity within America’s power elite: billionaires, politicians, and celebrities who allegedly trafficked in sex with young girls while insulated from accountability.

It is believed that Epstein, who died in jail after being arrested on charges of molesting, raping, and sex trafficking dozens of young girls, operated a sex trafficking ring not only for his own personal pleasure but also for that of his friends and business associates.

According to The Washington Post, “several of the young women…say they were offered to the rich and famous as sex partners at Epstein’s parties.”

Despite the government’s insistence that there’s nothing more to see, here’s what the public record already reveals:

• Epstein ferried his friends about on his private plane, nicknamed the “Lolita Express” after the Nabokov novel, due to the presence of what appeared to be underage girls on board.
• Both Bill Clinton and Donald Trump were counted among Epstein’s friends.
• Both Clinton and Trump were at one time passengers on the Lolita Express.
• Both Clinton and Trump are renowned womanizers who have been accused of sexual impropriety by a significant number of women over the years. In fact, The Rutherford Institute represented Paula Jones in her landmark sexual harassment lawsuit against then-President Clinton—a case that helped expose how far the political establishment will go to shield its own.

So you have to wonder… when President Trump, who has used his administration’s war on human trafficking to justify expanding the government’s police state powers, quietly dismantles the very government agencies tasked with investigating and exposing sex trafficking… what exactly is going on?

The message from the top is clear: there will be no accountability.

President Trump has flatly refused to appoint a special prosecutor. His allies in Congress have gone silent. And the same politicians who demand the harshest punishments for undocumented immigrants, protesters, or whistleblowers have nothing to say about the systematic abuse of minors by men in their own orbit.

This isn’t justice. It’s a double standard—one set of rules for the untouchables, and another for everyone else.

If it looks like a cover-up, smells like a cover-up, and appears to benefit all the usual suspects, is it so far-fetched to suspect that the government is once again closing ranks to protect the members of its power elite?

We’ve seen it before: from the CIA’s MK-Ultra experiments and the FBI’s COINTELPRO operations to the Pentagon Papers, Iran-Contra, CIA black sites, and NSA mass surveillance.

Each time, secrecy protected the powerful and betrayed the people.

And it will keep happening—again and again—unless we confront the truth hiding in plain sight: that abuse of power is not an aberration of the system—it is the system.

Nowhere is that more apparent than in the shadow economy of sex trafficking, where power, profit, and predation converge.

The trafficking of children, the shielding of perpetrators, the systematic silencing of victims—this isn’t a conspiracy theory. It’s a business model.

This is America’s seedy underbelly.

Child sex trafficking—the buying and selling of women, young girls, and boys for sex, some as young as 9 years old—has become big business in America. It is the fastest-growing business in organized crime and the second most-lucrative commodity traded illegally after drugs and guns.

Adults purchase children for sex at least 2.5 million times a year in the United States.

It’s not just young girls who are vulnerable to these predators, either. Boys account for over a third of victims in the U.S. sex industry.

Who buys a child for sex?

Otherwise, ordinary men from all walks of life. “They could be your co-worker, doctor, pastor, or spouse,” writes journalist Tim Swarens, who spent more than a year investigating the sex trade in America.

Ordinary men, yes. But then there are the so-called extraordinary men—like Jeffrey Epstein—with wealth, connections, and protection who are allowed to operate according to their own rules.

These men skate free of accountability because the criminal justice system panders to the powerful, the wealthy, and the elite.

Over a decade ago, when Epstein was first charged with raping and molesting young girls, he was gifted a secret plea deal with then-U.S. Attorney Alexander Acosta, President Trump’s first term Labor Secretary, that allowed him to evade federal charges and be given the equivalent of a slap on the wrist: allowed to “work” at home six days a week before returning to jail to sleep.

That secret plea deal has since been ruled illegal by a federal judge.

Yet here’s the thing: Epstein did not act alone.

I refer not only to Epstein’s accomplices, who recruited and groomed the young girls he is accused of raping and molesting, but his circle of influential friends and colleagues that at one time included Bill Clinton and Donald Trump.

As the Associated Press points out, “The arrest of the billionaire financier on child sex trafficking charges is raising questions about how much his high-powered associates knew about the hedge fund manager’s interactions with underage girls, and whether they turned a blind eye to potentially illegal conduct.”

In fact, a decision by the Second Circuit Court of Appeals allowing a 2,000-page document linked to the Epstein case to be unsealed references allegations of sexual abuse involving “numerous prominent American politicians, powerful business executives, foreign presidents, a well-known Prime Minister, and other world leaders.”

This is not a minor incident involving minor players. Nor are these partisan missteps.

They are systemic betrayals. The predators wear red and blue alike, and the silence spans both aisles of power.

This is the darkness at the heart of the American police state: a system built to shield the powerful from justice.

Sex slaves. Sex trafficking. Secret societies. Powerful elites. Government corruption. Judicial cover-ups.

Once again, fact and fiction mirror each other.

Twenty years ago, Stanley Kubrick’s final film Eyes Wide Shut provided viewing audiences with a sordid glimpse into a secret sex society that indulged the basest urges of its affluent members while preying on vulnerable young women. It is not so different from the real world, where powerful men, insulated from accountability, indulge their base urges.

Kubrick suggested these secret societies flourish because the public chooses not to see what’s right in front of them, content to navigate life in denial about the ugly, obvious truths in our midst.

In so doing, we become accomplices to abusive behavior in our midst.

This is how corruption by the power elite flourishes.

For years, investigative journalists and survivors have documented how blackmail, intelligence agency ties, and financial leverage helped shield elite sexual predators—not just from prosecution, but from public scrutiny.

For every Epstein who is—finally—called to account for his illegal sexual exploits after years of being given a free pass by those in power, there are hundreds (perhaps thousands) more in the halls of power and wealth whose predation continues unabated.

While Epstein’s alleged crimes are heinous enough on their own, he is part of a larger narrative of how a culture of entitlement becomes a cesspool and a breeding ground for despots and predators.

Power corrupts. Worse, as 19th-century historian Lord Acton concluded, absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Give any one person—or government agency—too much power and allow them to believe that they are entitled, untouchable and will not be held accountable for their actions, and those powers will be abused.

History proves it. The present moment confirms it.

We see this dynamic play out every day in communities across America.

A cop shoots an unarmed citizen for no credible reason and gets away with it. A president employs executive orders to sidestep the Constitution and gets away with it. A government agency spies on its citizens’ communications and gets away with it. An entertainment mogul sexually harasses aspiring actresses and gets away with it. The U.S. military bombs a civilian hospital and gets away with it.

It’s no coincidence that the same administration dismantling offices tasked with fighting human trafficking is also defunding the few agencies left to hold law enforcement accountable.

Under President Trump, the Department of Justice has been restructured to prioritize loyalty over justice, protection over prosecution. Offices once dedicated to civil rights enforcement, police oversight, and public accountability have been gutted or quietly sidelined.

Consider the case of former Louisville officer Brett Hankison, who blindly fired ten rounds into Breonna Taylor’s apartment during a botched no-knock raid. Hankison was ultimately convicted—not for killing Taylor, but for depriving others of their civil rights. And yet Trump’s DOJ asked the court to sentence Hankison to one day in prison—the equivalent of time served during booking.

In other words, in Trump’s view, the powerful and their enforcers should walk free while the dead are buried and the public is told to move on.

And it’s not just trigger-happy policing that goes unpunished.

Across the country, law enforcement officers have repeatedly been caught running sex trafficking rings, abusing women and girls in their custody, or exploiting their badge to coerce sex—with little to no consequence.

From Louisiana to Ohio to New York, officers have been arrested for trafficking underage girls, assaulting vulnerable women, and raping detainees—often shielded by unions, prosecutors, or a blue wall of silence.

This isn’t a few bad apples. It’s a culture of impunity baked into the system.

This is how the system works, protecting the untouchables—not because they’re innocent, but because the system has made them immune.

Abuse of power—and the ambition-fueled hypocrisy and deliberate disregard for misconduct that make those abuses possible—works the same whether you’re talking about sex crimes, government corruption, or the rule of law.

It’s the same old story all over again: man rises to power, man abuses power abominably, man intimidates and threatens anyone who challenges him with retaliation or worse, and man gets away with it because of a culture of compliance in which no one speaks up because they don’t want to lose their job or their money or their place among the elite.

Sexual predators aren’t the only threat.

For every Epstein or Clinton, every Weinstein, Ailes, Cosby, or Trump who eventually gets called out for his sexual misbehavior, there are hundreds—thousands—of others in the American police state who are getting away with murder—in many cases, literally—simply because they can.

Unless something changes in the way we deal with these ongoing, egregious abuses of power, the predators of the police state will continue to wreak havoc on our freedoms, our communities, and our lives.

For too long now, Americans have tolerated an oligarchy in which a powerful, elite group of wealthy donors is calling the shots.

We need to restore the rule of law for all people, no exceptions.

The rule of law means no one gets a free pass—no matter their wealth, status, or political connections.

Did you know that U.S. households are carrying $1.18 trillion in credit card debt? Considering the fact that the average rate of interest on credit card balances is now over 20 percent, that is not good news at all. Sadly, most of the country is just barely scraping by from month to month in this very harsh economic environment, and turning to credit cards for some relief can be extremely tempting. A thousand dollar credit card balance can turn into four or five thousand dollars in the blink of an eye, and once you get that deep into the hole it can be very difficult to ever dig yourself out. Of course if you end up losing your job or having a major medical emergency, that can be enough to push you completely over the edge financially. Today, that is happening to an alarming number of Americans.

For some perspective, let’s go back to the end of 2024.  At that time, it was being reported that “credit card loan defaults soared this year”…

Experts are sounding the alarm over a new report indicating credit card loan defaults soared this year, warning the dam is about to break on Americans’ record-high consumer debt.

During the first nine months of 2024, lenders wrote off more than $46 billion in seriously delinquent credit card loans, according to a report from the Financial Times citing data analyzed by BankRegData. That’s an increase of 50% from the first three quarters of 2023, and the highest since 2010.

Unfortunately, this crisis has continued to intensify in recent months.

Delinquency rates have “hit the highest levels in more than a decade”, and this is especially true for younger borrowers…

Delinquency rates have doubled since the record lows of 2021. On one hand, this makes sense: Consumer credit has grown 20% since 2021. Stimulus-fueled excess savings drove down credit card balances during the pandemic, then, as the economy opened up, consumers depleted those savings. This has also reignited delinquencies.

But delinquency rates haven’t just rebounded — they’ve hit the highest levels in more than a decade. Even more concerning, the rate of credit card borrowers who transitioned to serious delinquency (90-plus days) is now at 2008 levels. Borrowers age 18-29 make up the biggest portion of this group.

This is starting to become a big problem for our banks.

In particular, small banks have been getting absolutely hammered by very high delinquency rates.

Let’s hope that we can get this turned around.

Our seemingly endless cost of living crisis is putting a tremendous amount of strain on our society, and even delinquency rates for high income households have been soaring…

Upper-income Americans are increasingly falling behind on credit card and auto loan payments, signaling an underlying vulnerability in the US economy as the labor market slows.

Delinquencies on such debts from those making at least $150,000 annually have jumped almost 20% over the last two years, faster than for middle- and lower-income borrowers, according to the credit-scoring firm VantageScore. A recent Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis study found the share of people making late card payments in the highest-income zip codes has risen twice as much over the last year as in the lowest-income ones.

Are the facts that I just shared with you a sign that the economy is healthy or that the economy is unhealthy?

Needless to say, the answer is self-evident.

Despite what the talking heads on CNBC are telling you, the truth is that most of the nation is really struggling right now.

But no matter how much you are struggling, you should avoid going into credit card debt, because credit card debt is financial poison.

Unfortunately, today the average U.S. household is carrying more than $6,000 in credit card debt…

• The average U.S. household has $6,120 in credit card debt.
• Total U.S. household credit card debt is currently at $1.18 trillion, making up 6% of all household debt.
• Washington, D.C., carries the highest level of credit card debt per capita at $5,360 on average, while Mississippi carries the lowest at $2,940 on average.
• Americans aged 65 to 74 have more credit card debt than any other age range, coming in at an average of $7,720 in debt.

Can you guess what the average rate of interest on all of that credit card debt is?

I just asked Google AI, and I was told that the “average APR for all credit card accounts in Q2 2025 was 21.16%”.

Wow.

If you are paying more than 20 percent interest on a credit card balance, you are getting absolutely killed financially.

And “buy now, pay later” plans can be even worse.

At this point, those plans have become so lucrative that even Costco is getting in on the game…

Costco is now offering a buy-now, pay-later option for online shoppers through a new multi-year partnership with Affirm.

The installment plans will allow customers to select the payment option at checkout for purchases ranging from $500 to $17,500.

Customers will be checked for eligibility in real time and can choose a monthly payment plan that fits their budget.

I know that it can be so tempting to reach for a short-term solution.

But don’t do it.

You will always regret it later.

But I certainly understand why so many Americans are looking for an easy way out.

Chinese and American trade negotiators concluded their two-day meeting in Stockholm without a resolution to avert tariffs from skyrocketing back to ultra-high levels that formed an effective blockade on trade between the world’s two largest economies. But President Donald Trump’s trade advisers and their Chinese counterparts sounded a hopeful note.

Without an agreement, the United States and China are set to once again place historic tariffs on each other’s imports starting August 12.

We have about two weeks.

Hopefully negotiators will be able to work something out.

But even if an agreement is reached, so many other long-term trends are taking us in the wrong direction very rapidly.

Now is a time to get “lean and mean” financially, because I have a feeling that the economic news is going to get very “interesting” during the second half of this year.

How much flooding is it going to take before people realize that something truly out of the ordinary is going on?  This month, we have been hammered by “1,000 year storms” and “1,000 year floods” over and over again.  In a previous article, I documented 13 catastrophic flooding events in just 13 days.  Unfortunately, that wasn’t the end of it.  In fact, we were just hit by 4 more catastrophic flooding events in just 48 hours.  In the entire history of our country, we have never seen anything like we have witnessed this month.  Every region of the U.S. has been repeatedly hit by major flooding, and there seems to be no end in sight.

On Friday, 6 inches of rain fell on one area of Chicago in less than two hours, and as a result there was tremendous flooding…

Severe thunderstorms brought flash flooding to the Chicago metropolitan area on Friday afternoon, July 25, with some locations receiving over 150 mm (6 inches) of rainfall in under two hours.

Chicago Midway International Airport recorded 38 mm (1.5 inches) of rain in just 37 minutes. Within 90 minutes, the total had reached 70 mm (2.77 inches). A ground stop was issued at Midway, and both Midway and O’Hare International Airports experienced delays to inbound and outbound flights.

In Bridgeview, more than 150 mm (6 inches) of rain fell in less than two hours, overwhelming storm drains and flooding streets. Located in one of the lowest elevation zones in the Chicago area, Bridgeview is particularly vulnerable to flooding.

On Saturday, 10 inches of rain caused historic flooding in Lincoln County, Missouri…

Lincoln County is in a state of emergency following major flash floods overnight in and around the city of Elsberry. The Lincoln County Emergency Management Agency reports the northern part of Elsberry received over 10 inches of rain overnight.

The flooding in Lincoln County was so bad that rescuers in boats were going door to door to pull people out of their homes…

Severe flooding has hit Lincoln County, Missouri, particularly affecting the town of Elsberry, where emergency services have conducted multiple water rescues.

Quentin Laws, the Lincoln County Emergency Manager, stated, “We have multiple boat rescues going door to door.” He emphasized the importance of residents staying off the roads.

The flooding began around 11 p.m. Saturday night, with torrential rain causing flash floods in the area. Laws said the hardest hit area was between 2nd and 7th Street on the south side of Elsberry basically along Highway 79 and near the BNSF railroad. It’s a low lying area but doesn’t flood very often according to local officials.

Also on Saturday, violent flooding hit Ruidoso, New Mexico for the second time this month.  In this instance, the rapidly moving floodwaters actually picked up an entire mobile home and swept it away…

Afternoon thunderstorms brought new flash floods to Ruidoso, New Mexico, where residents are still reeling from deadly floods at the beginning of July. One woman standing on her back porch recorded dramatic video of a mobile home being swept away in the muddy rapids.

New Mexico is not normally known for flooding.

But now everything is changing.

On top of everything else, several inches of rain within just a couple of hours caused widespread flash floods in three Ohio counties on Saturday night…

Thunderstorms that swept through central Ohio on Saturday night prompted flash flood warnings in parts of Franklin, Pickaway, and Fairfield counties.

Parts of southeast Franklin and Fairfield counties reportedly experienced between two and four inches of rain within a few hours.

High water was reported at the Groveport golf course, with multiple cars trapped in the parking lot due to flood water.

When I was growing up, thunderstorms were considered to be just a nuisance.

But in our time, they have become so violent that they can often be life threatening.

Of course they wouldn’t be such a problem if we hadn’t built millions upon millions of homes in FEMA flood zones…

In Louisiana, a nation-leading 23 percent of properties are located in a FEMA flood zone. In Florida, it’s about 17 percent. Arkansas, New Mexico, and Nebraska are perhaps less expected members of the top 10, as is New Jersey, which, with New York City, saw torrential rain and flooding that killed two people earlier this month.

Texas ranks seventh in the country, with about 800,000 properties, or roughly 6.5 percent of the state’s total, sitting in a flood zone.

What in the world happened to common sense?

If you currently own a home that is located in a FEMA flood zone, you might want to think about relocating.

Because our weather is only going to get wilder.

And it isn’t just happening in the United States.

Last week, flooding was a major problem all over China…

Heavy rain around Beijing and across northern China killed two people and forced thousands to relocate as authorities warned of further widespread rain and the risk of disasters including landslides and flooding.

Two people were dead and two missing in Hebei province, state broadcaster CCTV reported on Sunday morning. Overnight rain dumped a record 145mm per hour on Fuping county in the industrial city of Baoding.

China’s water ministry issued targeted flood warnings to 11 provinces and regions, including Beijing and neighbouring Hebei, for floods from small and midsize rivers and mountain torrents.

On Friday, a year’s worth of rain fell on one part of China in just 24 hours…

Record-breaking rainfall hit Yi County, Baoding City, northern China, on July 25, 2025, delivering nearly a year’s worth of precipitation in just 24 hours and forcing the evacuation of over 19 000.

According to the China Meteorological Administration (CMA), 448.7 mm (17.6 inches) of rain fell in Yi County, western Baoding, in the 24-hour period from 06:00 local time (LT) on July 24 to 06:00 LT on July 25. It was the highest single day rainfall on record for the area.

Local reports indicate that nearly all of the rainfall occurred in the 12 hours leading to the morning of July 25. Meanwhile, the highest hourly rainfall intensity was recorded in Renyizhuang village, with 98.1 mm (3.8 inches).

I really hope that people out there are starting to get the picture.

We truly are living in apocalyptic times, and things are going to get a whole lot crazier during the months and years that are ahead of us.

You see, the truth is that all of the flooding that we are experiencing is just one element of “the perfect storm” that we have now entered.

Everything that can be shaken will be shaken, and this period of history is about to get quite a bit more interesting.

Donald Trump, the United States’ ruler, has announced new tariffs on both Mexico and the European Union. Trump said that these tariffs will go into effect starting on August 1st.

The U.S. will impose a 30% tariff on all imports from Mexico and the European Union (EU), citing national security and trade imbalances. Mexico’s Foreign Ministry confirmed that the tariff threat was discussed during a July 11 meeting, describing the proposal as “unfair”; however, it also stated that negotiations with the U.S. are ongoing.

“We mentioned at the meeting that this was an unfair deal and that we disagreed,” the ministry said, adding that the Mexican government is already in active negotiations with the U.S. and is seeking to avoid the punitive measures.

In a letter addressed to Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum and posted on Trump’s Truth Social platform on Saturday, July 12, the president said the tariffs are a response to Mexico’s failure to stop drug cartels from trafficking fentanyl and other narcotics into the United States.

“Despite our strong relationship, you will recall, the United States imposed Tariffs on Mexico to deal with our Nation’s Fentanyl crisis, which is caused, in part, by Mexico’s failure to stop the Cartels, who are made up of the most despicable people who ever walked the Earth, from pouring these drugs into our country,” Trump wrote in the letter.

“Mexico has been helping me secure the border, but what Mexico has done is not enough. Mexico still has not stopped the Cartels, who are trying to turn all of North America into a narco-trafficking playground. Obviously, I cannot let that happen! Starting August 1st, 2025, we will charge Mexico a Tariff of 30 percent on Mexican products sent into the United States,” the president said, according to a report by Natural News. 

Trump also sent a similar letter to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen to balance one of the U.S.’s “largest trade deficits.”

“A 30 percent tariff on EU exports would hurt businesses, consumers and patients on both sides of the Atlantic. We will continue working towards an agreement by August 1. At the same time, we are ready to safeguard EU interests on the basis of proportionate countermeasures,” von der Leyen posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Trade War, Tariffs Driving Economic Uncertainty

All of the other crazy things that have been happening in the world have kind of overshadowed the fact that there has been a lot of very alarming shaking along the Pacific “Ring of Fire” lately.  Dozens of volcanoes have been erupting, hundreds of sizable earthquakes have been occurring, and a lot of people that live in the affected areas are really freaking out.  Is all of this shaking leading up to some sort of a historic disaster?  Only time will tell, but it is being reported that scientists “are concerned about the increasing activity in the Pacific Ring of Fire”…

Nothing can draw attention quite like the thought of imminent doom via volcanic eruption. With nearly 50 volcanic eruptions already recorded this year and more anticipated in the coming months, Geologists are concerned about the increasing activity in the Pacific Ring of Fire.

If you are not familiar with the Pacific “Ring of Fire”, the following is a pretty good summary from National Geographic…

The Ring of Fire is a string of volcanoes and sites of seismic activity, or earthquakes, around the edges of the Pacific Ocean. Roughly 90 percent of all earthquakes occur along the Ring of Fire, and the ring is dotted with 75 percent of all active volcanoes on Earth.

The Ring of Fire isn’t quite a circular ring. It is shaped more like a 40,000-kilometer (25,000-mile) horseshoe. A string of 452 volcanoes stretches from the southern tip of South America, up along the coast of North America, across the Bering Strait, down through Japan, and into New Zealand. Several active and dormant volcanoes in Antarctica, however, “close” the ring.

The entire west coast of the United States and the entire southern coast of Alaska sit directly within the “Ring of Fire”.

And recent shaking on U.S. territory is raising a lot of eyebrows.

Just yesterday, a magnitude 7.3 earthquake prompted a tsunami warning for much of southern Alaska…

Thousands of Americans along Alaska’s coastline raced to higher ground on Wednesday, abandoning their homes after a major earthquake triggered a tsunami warning.

The US Geological Survey (USGS) detected a 7.3 magnitude at approximately 12:38pm local time (4:30pm ET), centered in the Pacific Ocean just south of the Alaska Peninsula near the Shumagin Islands, southeast of Sand Point.

Sirens wailed and emergency alerts lit up phones across the region, warning residents across a vast stretch of southwestern Alaska, from Kennedy Entrance near Homer to Unimak Pass near Unalaska, to evacuate immediately.

Thankfully, a major tsunami was not generated, but it was definitely a really big reminder of the danger that we are facing.

Elsewhere in Alaska, volcanoes that were dormant for a long time have been stirring to life…

Meanwhile, in Alaska, two volcanoes are drawing intense scrutiny. Mount Spurr, dormant since its last eruption in 1992, is now showing increased seismic activity and ground deformation, prompting the USGS to raise its alert level to “Advisory” and warn that an eruption could occur within weeks. Not far away, Great Sitkin Volcano has been slowly oozing lava for years. While the activity is not explosive, its persistence signals a long-term eruption that shouldn’t be ignored.

Even Alaska’s Mount Iliamna, long considered sleepy, has stirred with seismic swarms in recent weeks, prompting experts to resume heightened monitoring.

Maybe you don’t care much about Alaska because it is so far away.

But we are seeing increasing seismic activity in the continental United States too.

In fact, Mt. Rainier was just hit by “the largest earthquake swarm ever recorded at the volcano”…

More than 300 earthquakes hit Washington’s Mount Rainier in early July, the largest earthquake swarm ever recorded at the volcano. The swarm, a cluster of earthquakes in the same area in rapid succession, began July 8. Within two days, 334 earthquakes had been identified by the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network.

Over the past decade, I don’t know anyone that has written more about Mt. Rainier than I have.

One of these days it will suddenly erupt, and the death toll will be enormous.

Further south, we are being told that an absolutely gigantic underwater volcano off the coast of Oregon could literally erupt at any time…

Heading down the West Coast, seismologists are also monitoring the Axial Seamount, a massive undersea volcano 300 miles off Oregon. It has been attracting attention for months as scientists prepare for an eruption they expect sometime in 2025.

Of course the most heavily populated areas in the U.S. that are located along the Ring of Fire are located in California.

When “the really Big One” finally strikes, the geography of California will be permanently altered and Los Angeles will be destroyed.  I don’t know how I can warn any more strongly about this than I already have.

We are currently in a particularly dangerous period, because we know that there tends to be more seismic activity when solar activity is very high, and right now our Sun is behaving in some very strange ways.

A massive explosion of solar plasma erupted from the sun on Wednesday, and scientists say this may be just the beginning.

NASA satellites caught the dramatic moment when a blazing arc of superheated material burst from the Sun’s northeastern edge, large enough to stretch across 30 Earths.

The violent blast carved out a 250,000-mile-long ‘canyon of fire’, with walls of glowing plasma rising more than 12,000 miles high, roughly the height of Earth’s diameter.

That was certainly a very alarming development.

Why isn’t it getting more attention?

It is being reported that the blast was so huge that it actually “twisted and tore the sun’s magnetic field”…

NASA says the blast was so intense it twisted and tore the sun’s magnetic field, leaving behind a glowing trench of charged particles where the explosion ripped through.

Similar outbursts from the sun have already wreaked havoc, including a May solar storm that sparked auroras across the US, lighting up skies from California to Alabama and prompting warnings about possible power outages and satellite disruptions.

We need to keep a close eye on the Sun, because it is becoming increasingly unstable.

At the same time, our planet is becoming increasingly unstable.

This story is going to have an apocalyptic ending, but most of you already knew that.

For the second day, Israel has conducted strikes on a Syrian city, vowing to protect the Druze minority. The Druze minority is an ethnoreligious group with origins tracing back to a 10th-century offshoot of Ismailism, a branch of Shiite Islam. 

Israel Threatens New Syrian Regime Forces With Fire

The upsurge in violence underlines the challenges facing interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa, who has struggled to assert control over the area near the Israeli border since toppling Bashar al-Assad in December.

According to a report by Reuters, Israel, which has struck Syria several times in the name of protecting the Druze, carried out its latest attacks after influential Druze Sheikh Hikmat al-Hajri issued a statement accusing government troops of breaching a ceasefire and urging fighters to confront what he described as a “barbaric” attack.

While Sharaa has been buoyed by rapidly improving ties with U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration, the violence has highlighted lingering sectarian tensions and distrust among minority groups towards his Islamist-led government – distrust that was deepened by mass killings of Alawites in March. –Reuters

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz said they had ordered Israel’s military to strike “regime forces” and some weaponry brought to Sweida to be used against the Druze.

Religious leaders of the Druze said in a written statement on Tuesday morning that it would allow Syrian forces to enter Sweida city in order to stop the bloodshed. They also called on armed groups to surrender their weapons and cooperate with the incoming troops, but an hour later, al-Hajri, a vocal opponent of the new Syrian leadership, said the statement had been “imposed” on them by Damascus. He added that Syrian troops had breached the ceasefire agreement by continuing to fire on residents of the slave class.

“We are being subject to a total war of extermination,” al-Hajri said in a recorded video statement. He also called on all Druze “to confront this barbaric campaign with all means available”.
