Anti-Christian violence in the U.S. has risen dramatically in recent years, but what we have seen so far is nothing compared to what is coming if the 2024 presidential election goes a certain way.  You see, the truth is that most of the violence being directed at Christian churches is being done for political reasons.  Whether it is accurate or not, many on the left consider evangelical Christians to be Donald Trump’s most hardcore supporters, and church buildings are the most visible representation of the evangelical movement.  Since church buildings are not guarded most of the time, they are easy targets, and they are being attacked at a frequency that we have never seen before in the entire history of this country.

According to a report that was released by the Family Research Council, church attacks in the United States have risen 800 percent during the last six years…

While the Biden administration cracks down on the Christians Democrats and the press smear as extremists, church attacks are up 800 percent in the last six years, according to a new report from the Family Research Council (FRC).

In February, the conservative group published the report, “Hostility Against Churches Is on the Rise in the United States.” It identified 915 acts of hostility against churches between January 2018 and November 2023.

There is so much talk in the mainstream media about “right-wing extremism”, but it is actually the left that has been committing acts of terror over and over again.

In particular, the number of church attacks absolutely exploded in the year following the Supreme Court decision that overturned Roe v. Wade…

The report found hostile church incidents more than doubled in 2023 compared to 2022, with 436 counted a year after the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision returned abortion lawmaking to state legislatures. The number of attacks in 2023 was more than eight times greater than those reported in 2018.

These attacks are not about what happens on Sunday mornings.

Rather, these attacks are all about what is happening in the political realm.

When a crazed woman walked into Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church and started shooting, it wasn’t because she hated his preaching…

A woman who walked into a popular Texas megachurch Sunday afternoon with a long gun and her 7-year-old son opened fire before she was killed by law enforcement officers on scene. The gunfire left the child in critical condition and another man injured, officials said.

Authorities are now probing the shooting at televangelist and pastor Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church – roughly 6 miles from downtown Houston.

The woman, identified in a search warrant as Genesse Ivonne Moreno, 36, entered the church shortly before 2 p.m. wearing a trench coat and backpack and opened fire, Houston Police Chief Troy Finner said in a Sunday afternoon news conference.

According to ABC News, when authorities recovered the AR-15 she used during the shooting, there was a sticker that said “Palestine” on it.

She was a pro-Palestinian radical that hated evangelical support for Israel.

Sadly, these sorts of incidents are becoming way too common.

We have reached a stage where every single church in America needs an armed security team, and things will inevitably become even crazier during the months ahead.

As I have warned my readers numerous times, we are entering the most chaotic election season in U.S. history.

The Lincoln Project is already releasing ominous videos warning that Trump will become a dictator, and hordes of liberal pundits are breathlessly telling us that another Trump presidency will be the end of America as we know it today.

There are millions of leftists that are deeply internalizing this messaging, and if Trump wins they will be ready for action.

A recent New York Post article explained that if Trump is able to get back into the White House “some portion of the left will convince itself that only a color revolution can save the country”…

And if Trump emerges victorious and the alleged dictatorship is underway in earnest?

Certainly, the reaction will make the pro-Hamas protests that have roiled college campuses and disrupted transportation nodes around the country look small-scale by comparison.

If the republic is supposedly on the verge of falling, extralegal means of resistance are justified.

At least some portion of the left will convince itself that only a color revolution can save the country.

I wish that I could tell you that such claims are exaggerated.

But the truth is that leftists are already buzzing about a “revolution” all over social media.

And politicians on the left are certainly not helping matters.  For example, Bernie Sanders insists that another Trump presidency will mean “the collapse of American democracy”…

A second Trump presidency would be much more extreme than the first. “He’s made that clear,” says Sanders. “There’s a lot of personal bitterness, he’s a bitter man, having gone through four indictments, humiliated, he’s going to take it out on his enemies. We’ve got to explain to the American people what that means to them – what the collapse of American democracy will mean to all of us.”

We are so deeply divided, and a movie entitled “Civil War” is about to be released as the upcoming presidential election looms over our nation…

The upcoming release of A24’s Civil War during a contentious presidential election year comes amid worry about the prospect of an actual civil war — or, at least, real-life political violence — and has some questioning the movie’s timing.

Talk about predictive programming.

The film is about an alliance of states that rebels against an authoritarian president that is abusing his powers.

Many are questioning the wisdom of releasing such a movie at this particular moment in our history…

“The idea of another American civil war happening today actually keeps me up at night,” wrote one reader on an American Civil War subreddit. “This is a movie that I want to keep far away from. Even if it’s based on a political scenario so far removed from our own. I just do not want to entertain the notion of something so horrible.”

“A movie about a second American Civil War in an election year in which the second American Civil War is a serious concern among law-enforcement and rational people alike?” wrote another.

I think that it would have been wise for those in charge of this film to delay it until 2025 at the earliest.

But of course people like you and I do not get to make those kinds of decisions.

For many on the left that do not worship God, politics is essentially their religion.

And to them, the worst thing that could ever possibly happen would be for Donald Trump to become president again.

I realize that may sound really bizarre to you, but this is how they actually see the world.

So if Trump wins the election in November, we are going to witness a nationwide outpouring of negative emotion that will be unlike anything that any of us have ever experienced.

Needless to say, they won’t be satisfied with just protesting in the streets.

We could potentially see civil unrest on a scale that many would consider to be unimaginable right now, and that would set the stage for so many of the things that I have been warning about all these years.

If you think that what we are witnessing is “normal”, I honestly don’t know what to say.  Over the past few years, the United States has been getting pummeled by one major natural disaster after another.  The number of billion dollar natural disasters in 2023 established a new all-time record high for a single year, and 2024 is certainly off to a roaring start.  It seems like each new week brings multiple new disasters, and right now we are watching a couple of whoppers.  The blizzard that has started to hammer the state of California is so immense that it is difficult to believe that it is actually real, and the Stonehouse Creek Fire in the panhandle of Texas has officially become the largest fire in the entire history of that state…

The Smokehouse Creek Fire is officially the largest and most devastating fire in Texas’ history – with the killer inferno burning through over 1.1 million acres of land.

As of Thursday, the record-breaking wildfire has scorched through 1,075,000 acres and is three percent contained, with thousands of people evacuating their homes.

Ghastly winds coupled with the raging flames have charred huge swathes of the Panhandle – and the wildfire is now the equivalent size of the whole of Rhode Island.

This fire has already burned more than a million acres, but it still only 3 percent contained.

How is that even possible?

According to CBS News, throughout the region “lampposts are now melted, power line posts are split in half and homes and properties have been reduced to charred remains”.  It is already the second largest fire in the entire history of our country, and even if the fire was put out now the recovery would take many years because there has been so much devastation.

The Turkey Track Ranch is one of the oldest and most historic ranches in the state of Texas, and it has been almost completely obliterated…

The fire also destroyed most of the historic $180 million Turkey Track Ranch, which was home to “one of the largest and bloodiest battles of the Great Plains” near the end of the Civil War, and the site of the Red River War that started in 1874. The property, one of the oldest ranches in the state that covers roughly 80,000 acres, has seen an estimated 80% of its pastures, plains and creek bottom burned in the fire, CBS affiliate KHOU-TV reports.

“The loss of livestock, crops and wildlife, as well as ranch fencing and other infrastructure throughout our property as well as other ranches and homes across the region is, we believe, unparalleled in our history,” the owners said in a statement. “…We are all completely devastated and personally heartbroken by the magnitude of this horrific event.”

I cannot even comprehend what the owners are going through right now.

Just try to imagine what it must be like to have your life’s work burned to the ground in a single day.

And this fire is going to have a huge impact on all the rest of us too.

85 percent of the cattle in the state of Texas are in the panhandle.  Video footage of cattle that have been burned to death is being shared all over social media, and Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller is estimating that “tens of thousands” have already been killed…

Reuters spoke with state Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller, who warned the wildfire has likely killed tens of thousands of livestock and destroyed grain in storage bins.

“It’s almost like gasoline when it goes up,” Miller said, adding, “We have now lost over a million acres.

Beef prices have already risen to absolutely insane levels all over the country.

So what is going to happen now?

Miller is also warning that for the cattle that survive there won’t be anything left to eat…

“Feed supplies are scarce for surviving cattle because the fire destroyed grazing lands and bins holding crops like wheat and corn,” he said.

Miller continued: “There’s absolutely zero vegetation. The cattle that do survive, they have absolutely nothing to eat.”

If you love beef, stock up now, because prices are about to go a lot higher.

Meanwhile, the state of California is being hit by yet another historic storm.

A “crippling blizzard” has already begun, and by the time the weekend is over some areas will literally be buried under 10 feet of snow…

A crippling blizzard is expected to pummel the mountains in California and Nevada late this week and into the weekend, dumping the biggest snow of the season so far. By the time it’s all over, the highest elevations could be buried under 10-plus feet of snow.

The worst of the storm will be felt across the Sierra Nevada mountain range. The event is now getting underway Thursday but will hit its peak starting Friday and last through the weekend. With a major winter storm like this, wind gusts over the Sierra ridges will easily exceed 100 mph, creating intense blizzard conditions that could last for days.

“It’s just all weekend,” FOX Weather Meteorologist Britta Merwin said. “That’s all you need to know. It is literally all weekend.”

It is being reported that a wind gust of 120 mph was recorded on Ward Mountain on Thursday, and extremely powerful winds will continue throughout the weekend as snow falls at a staggering pace.

If you can believe it, it is being projected that “snowfall rates of up to 5 inches an hour are possible”…

Extremely heavy snowfall rates of up to 5 inches an hour are possible, said Brittany Whitlam, a forecaster with the weather service’s Reno office. Snowfall accumulations across three days will generally range from 50 to 100 inches across the Sierra, with locally higher amounts at higher elevations, UCLA climate scientist Daniel Swain said in a forecast discussion on YouTube on Thursday

“This will be another snowstorm probably for the record books in some places,” Swain said.

I can’t even imagine what a storm of that magnitude would be like, because I have never experienced anything like it.

Local residents are being told that some communities may be isolated for an extended period of time, and snowfall totals in the worst hit locations could actually reach “15 feet or 180 inches”…

AccuWeather is projecting that 6-10 feet of snow will fall at Donner Pass or up to 120 inches, spanning several days. Similar snowfall is likely at many of the ski resorts in the Sierra Nevada, with an AccuWeather Local StormMax snowfall of 15 feet or 180 inches. Drifts from the storm will reach as high as several stories.

Now that is a storm!

And actually what we are experiencing right now is just the beginning.

Sheathed and attached to the inside (or outside) of your boot.

It’s a secondary blade you wear as a sneaky backup.

A knife you can draw fast without having to unfold it.

The history of wearing knives in boots goes back to the American West.

It was known as the gambler’s best friend.

Days when firearms were less reliable.

So having a concealed weapon gave you an advantage.

Long boots worn in the old west made it the perfect place to carry.

And more recently, Military personnel around the world wear them.

For example:

Paratroopers had them in WWII when they dropped into battle zones.

Who Should Start Wearing One?

Hunters

Every hunter needs a knife that’s easy to carry.

Regular tasks around camp, like cutting branches and using ropes, require a knife.

Skinning animals and helping with field dressing are also necessary.

Anglers

You need a knife when fishing.

Why? To cut lines, clean fish, and do all the other random cutting acts on the waters.

Survivalists

You’ll need a blade for protection, and utility while on the run.

If you lose your primary knife (like your survival knife), you’ll still have a backup in a pinch.

Military

Armed forces worldwide have used boot knives.

They are a standard issue in some branches.

And provide a secondary weapon that’s easy to access in combat.

Police

How To Wear A Boot Knife The Right Way

This knife is a concealed backup weapon.

So it’s not attached to your bug-out bag, survival belt, plate carrier, or MOLLE vest.

As the name suggests, this knife attaches to your work boots, cowboy boots, or tactical boots.

There are 4 possible locations within each boot.

1. Inside your boot
2. In a pocket inside the boot
3. Outside of the boot
4. In the laces

1. Inside Your Boot

This is the simplest way.

Just sheathe the fixed blade and slide it tip down into your boot.

This can cause problems though.

If your boot is too loose, the blade may move around.

It may slip down too far, making access harder.

If it’s too tight, you will feel the knife against your leg.

Making it uncomfortable to wear.

Buy a holster that wraps around your lower leg.

2. In a Pocket Inside The Boot

This option is convenient and designed for this purpose.

You must match your knife with your boot pocket ahead of time.

But you’re also not messing around with holsters or straps.

3. Outside The Boot

This setup gives your legs freedom.

You will need a longer boot or a shorter knife attached to a strap.

This may cause concealment problems if you wear skinny jeans.

4. In The Laces

This is another option if your boot type has an extended lace area.

You can weave the laces through the holes in the holster.

And then you have your knife mounted on top of the boot.

There are no modifications to worry about; it won’t rub or irritate your leg.

A smaller knife works best.

Here are a few tips to get a good boot knife:

Size

Consider the size of the blade.

• Too long, and it will poke out of your boot.
• Too short and hard to get at if it slips down.

You don’t want it interfering with your foot movement.

Try some on for size and see how it feels.

You also want the blade to be thin so it fits the contours of your leg.

Weight may also be an issue.

Material

Your knife must be durable and made of either stainless or high-carbon steel.

Stainless is more corrosion-resistant.

But it can get dull quicker.

While a high-carbon has a sharper edge but can rust.

And since we all walk through snow, mud, and water…

Stainless is the better choice.

The handle can be wood or synthetic.

Synthetic is more durable, but wood looks good.

You decide which is more important to you.

Blade Type

Usually, a boot knife will be double-edged and shaped in a long spear point.

If it is being used as a weapon, go with this style.

For a survival tool, pick a knife that has a one-sided blade.

Sheath

Always use your sheath when putting it in your boot.

This is a no-brainer, but I have to mention it anyway.

You’ll get cut fast if you jam an open blade into your boot.

The bottom line is:

Sheath it!

Final Thoughts

A boot knife is an ideal secondary, last-resort weapon.

And it’s a good way for survivalists, hunters, hikers, and preppers to carry a knife daily.

Can you guess who the quote in the article title is from?  I will give you a hint.  It wasn’t me.  I know that it sounds like it could have come from me, but it actually comes from a very big name on Wall Street.  Ellen Zentner is Morgan Stanley’s chief U.S. economist, and she is the one that said it.  During an interview with CNBC she warned that “the tightening impacts from monetary policy” will have enormous consequences for the U.S. economy in the months ahead…

“We will have a hard landing at some point. I guarantee you that. We’re all wondering: When does that come?” she said. “The point that Dimon makes is that there are these cumulative impacts that build over time, and we are in the camp that we haven’t yet seen all of the tightening impacts from monetary policy,” she added, referring to the impact of Fed rate hikes.

She makes a really great point.

The consequences of interest rate hikes are felt over time.

Higher interest rates have certainly started to cause a lot of problems, but if rates are not brought down soon the level of pain that we are experiencing will begin to go up dramatically.

Unfortunately, the Fed is not likely to reduce interest rates any time soon because inflation continues to run hotter than expected…

Inflation increased by the largest amount in almost a year, according to the Fed’s preferred measure – confirming expectations interest rates will not be cut until around June.

The so-called core personal consumption expenditures (PCE) index – which excludes volatile food and energy prices – increased 0.4 percent between December and January.

Marko Kolanovic, the chief market strategist for JPMorgan Chase, believes that the U.S. economy could be headed into “something like 1970s stagflation”…

In an analyst note to clients, the bank’s chief market strategist Marko Kolanovic warned that the economy may turn away from a “Goldilocks” scenario – in which it is not expanding or contracting by too much – and enter a period of stagflation similar to that experienced in the 1970s.

“Going back to the question of market macro regime, we believe that there is a risk of the narrative turning back from Goldilocks towards something like 1970s stagflation, with significant implications for asset allocation,” Kolanovic wrote.

I would argue that we have already been in a period of stagflation.

The economy has certainly been stagnating, and inflation has been unacceptably high.

But now conditions have taken a dramatic turn for the worse in early 2024, and we are seeing some very troubling signs.

For example, I was stunned to learn that a Canadian pension fund has just sold a stake in a Manhattan office tower for just one dollar…

Canadian pension funds have been among the world’s most prolific buyers of real estate, starting a revolution that inspired retirement plans around the globe to emulate them. Now the largest of them is taking steps to limit its exposure to the most-beleaguered property type — office buildings.

Canada Pension Plan Investment Board has done three deals at discounted prices, selling its interests in a pair of Vancouver towers, a business park in Southern California and a redevelopment project in Manhattan, with the New York stake offloaded for the eyebrow-raising price of just $1. The worry is those deals may set an example for other major investors seeking a way out of the turmoil too.

The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board had a 29 percent stake in Manhattan’s 360 Park Avenue South.

The plan was to redevelop that property, but at this point the outlook for office buildings is so bad that the pension fund just wanted out.

And so the entire 29 percent stake was sold off for just one dollar.

Meanwhile, large employers all over America continue to conduct mass layoffs.

Today, I was saddened to learn that Electronic Arts is laying off approximately 700 workers…

Another day, another round of mass layoffs in the games industry. Electronic Arts (EA) has announced it will cut around five percent of its employees, putting almost 700 people out of a job. It’s also cancelling games and shutting down at least one development studio.

EA CEO Andrew Wilson announced the layoffs in an email to employees, which was subsequently posted to the company’s blog on Wednesday.

And we just learned more details about the layoffs that Citigroup is conducting…

Citigroup is cutting nearly 300 workers in New York as it continues its massive layoff spree in an effort to rein in expenses, according to filings with the State Labor Department.

About 239 workers in the primary banking subsidiary, 44 from its broker-dealer unit and three from its technology arm are getting cut, according to Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notices filed this week.

In early January, the company announced that it was cutting 20,000 roles “over the medium-term,” as part of a reorganization effort. The cuts are slated to save the company between $2 billion and 2.5 billion.

We have not seen anything like this since the Great Recession of 2008 and 2009.

Greg Hunter just interviewed economic analyst David Morgan, and he is warning that we are actually “entering into a global depression the likes of which the world has never seen”…

Economic analyst and financial writer David Morgan has gone against the majority in the past with predictions that seemed unbelievable at the time. One prediction last year is the Fed not cutting interest rates in 2023. The Fed didn’t, and Morgan is still predicting there will be no Fed interest rate cut anytime soon. Now, with a record high stock market, Morgan is predicting “We are entering into a global depression the likes of which the world has never seen.”

Global central banks were able to delay the inevitable by flooding the system with colossal mountains of money.

But that just created a tremendous amount of inflation and now a horrifying economic crisis is coming anyway.

So I would encourage everyone to brace themselves for the “hard landing” that is rapidly approaching, because it is going to be exceedingly painful for the unprepared.

How to Survive Christmas Dinner With Your In-Laws

Bright lights, whirring holiday hymns, busy street and malls, family traditions and mixed emotions –you’re right it’s Christmas. It’s a time of joy, love, laughter and family. But for many of us, it can also be a stressful time– especially when dealing with in-laws. Of course, we love them, but there’s no denying that our in-laws can be a stressful addition to our holiday celebrations particularly if they’re a pain in the rear.

Whether it’s talking politics or asking when they’re going to get a grandchild, everyone’s in-laws have their habits that drive them absolutely nuts. You absolutely need to control your temper to save this lovely occasion from turning into the worst family dinner that will eventually haunt you like the ghost of Christmas past. So here are a few tips to help you survive Christmas dinner with your in-laws.

1. Offer to help

If your in-laws are hosting, be sure to make yourself useful in the Christmas dinner preparation and clean-up. Your mother-in-law might seem annoying just because she’s stressed. Easing the burden on her will make the day easier for you too. Offer whatever help you can give and it will surely lighten the feeling of uneasiness.

2. Mind your manners

“Please” and “thank you” are easy and go a long way. Being polite also sets a great example for your kids. Good manners should always be shown at all times and regardless of how your in-laws treat you. After all, they are still the parents of your better half.

3. Share your spouse

Don’t get jealous or clingy if your spouse spends more time talking to their parents and siblings than with you. Remember, you get every day with your spouse; he or she might only see his or her family a few times a year. You don’t need to be selfish and keep your spouse by your side all the time. So let them catch up with each other. Give them time and privacy to talk. It’s their family anyways so there’s no need to guard them like they’re Fort Knox.

4. Participate

Look through your mother-in-law’s photo albums. Laugh at your father-in-law’s jokes and also share some of yours to lighten every conversation. Make yourself a part of the family, and you’ll be surprised what a good time you can have. Participate if there’s a family activity and communicate with them, for communication can save struggling relationships.

5. Take a break

The holidays can be overwhelming and exhausting, and by the end of it, you may be starved for alone time. Don’t feel bad if you need to sneak away for a quick walk or a nap after dinner. It will recharge your batteries and put you into better spirits because stress can ruin this special occasion.

French ruler and NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) member Emmanuel Macron suggested that the West will need to put “boots on the ground” in Ukraine in order to defeat Russia. Moscow has already responded by saying such a move would make a direct war with the United States-led military bloc “inevitable.”

Supporters of Kiev gathered in Paris on Monday at Macron’s invitation to discuss what they should do as the war between Russia and Ukraine continues. The conflict has now entered its third year. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reportedly participated in the event, which was held behind closed doors, via a video link.

Ukrainian troops have suffered a new series of setbacks on the battlefield over the past several weeks. The government is struggling to replenish lost troops, as the parliament is debating mobilization reform, which would introduce harsh punishments for dodging the draft. Meanwhile, a partisan row in the US Congress has kept a White House request for additional Ukraine aid in legislative limbo.

The Elysee Palace touted the gathering as a way for participants to “reaffirm their unity” and express their determination to defeat Russia. Some guests who are critical of the Western approach expressed concerns beforehand. Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said the agenda “sends chills down my spine.” -RT

Following the private discussions, Macron described various ways the West could help Kyiv to win the war at a press conference, arguing that preventing a Russian victory served European security interests. There was “no consensus to officially back any ground troops,” he said, while controversially adding that “nothing should be excluded.”

While most of the European Union balked at Macron’s comments that soldiers should get officially involved in the fighting, the Russian government reacted with a warning.  Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted that while most of Macron’s anti-Russian rhetoric at the press conference was just a repetition of things he’d said in the past, the public proposal for an acknowledged presence of NATO troops in Ukraine was new.

Peskov said that should NATO put any kind of “boots on the ground” people would “have to talk not about the probability, but rather the inevitability” of a direct Russian-NATO clash.

Russia has warned the West several times about the inevitability of war, and the consequences should the NATO alliance continue to be involved in the conflict. So far, Russia has not followed through with any of its threats. Is it only a matter of time before they do?

If you want to determine what people believe, don’t listen to what they say.  Rather, closely watch what they actually do.  In recent days, the stock market has been hovering near all-time record highs and business leaders have been assuring us that good days are ahead.  But meanwhile many of our most famous billionaires have been doing things that indicate that they are extremely concerned about what is coming in the future.  For example, during the first two months of this year Jeff Bezos, Jamie Dimon and Mark Zuckerberg “have all sold big chunks of shares in their own companies”…

Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, JPMorgan’s Jamie Dimon, and Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg have all sold big chunks of shares in their own companies. How come?

Bezos is way out in front after offloading 50 million shares of Amazon in just nine trading days this month, pocketing an estimated $8.5 billion.

Zuckerberg cashed in almost 1.8 million shares of his social-media empire for more than $400 million in the last two months of 2023.

JPMorgan’s Dimon joined the club this month, jettisoning about 822,000 shares of the bank he leads for about $150 million.

If these men believe that the U.S. economy is going to thrive and their companies will continue to grow, it would make sense to just sit back and let their portfolios increase in value.

But instead they have all determined that this is a perfect time to sell.

And I can definitely understand that.  Over the past year, the stocks of all three companies have soared to unprecedented heights…

Meta stock has soared by 186% over the past year, JPMorgan is up nearly 30%, and Amazon has surged close to 90%. All three companies are trading close to record highs.

These men didn’t become filthy rich by being stupid, and selling at the peak of the bubble certainly wouldn’t be stupid.

But is that the only reason why these billionaires are feverishly liquidating shares?

In recent weeks, much has been made of the fact that Zuckerberg and his wife are constructing an absolutely massive survivalist compound in Hawaii.  The following comes from Time Magazine…

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan, co-founder and co-CEO of the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, plan to build a 5,000-square-foot underground shelter on their Hawaii ranch with its own energy and food supplies, according to a Wired investigation published earlier this month.

The plan is that the shelter’s door will be made of metal and filled in with concrete—common in bunkers and bomb shelters, the news outlet reported in its extensive article citing planning documents and interviews.

So why is Zuckerberg going to such effort?

Does he know something that the rest of us do not?

Yes, it is true that Zuckerberg has always been more than a little bit eccentric.

But many other ultra-wealthy individuals are also preparing for doom.  In fact, Sam Altman and Peter Thiel both seem to be extremely alarmed about the times that are approaching…

To keep himself safe, Altman keeps a stash of the usual Doomsday prepper fare including antibiotics and water as well as some more unusual goods. He told the founders of the startup Shypmate, per the New Yorker: “I try not to think about it too much. But I have guns, gold, potassium iodide, antibiotics, batteries, water, gas masks from the Israeli Defence Force, and a big patch of land in Big Sur I can fly to.”

He also said he and PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel have an “arrangement” to flee to one of Thiel’s luxury properties in New Zealand in the event the End of the World comes about.

Why would Sam Altman need guns and gas masks?

And why would he need potassium iodide?

Exactly what does he expect to happen?

Other billionaires are going to even greater extremes.

Al Corbi, the founder and president of Strategically Armored & Fortified Environments, says that he is currently working on an “island fortress” for one client that will have a very deep moat around it filled with highly flammable liquid…

Corbi — who worked on the palatial 27-floor, $4.8 billion Mumbai residence of business mogul Mukesh Ambani of Reliance Industries — reveals to THR that his most spectacular project, due to be completed in 2025, is an island fortress created on a 200-acre property in the U.S., with cutting-edge tactical systems.

“The shelter can withstand a blast one mile from ground zero,” says Corbi. “But that was almost incidental. The client [a business mogul] was saying, ‘I want to make sure that no one can get to my family,’ so we wound up literally building a 30-foot-deep lake [around the compound] skimmed with a lighter-than-water flammable liquid that can transform into a ring of fire. The only access to the island is a swing bridge.”

I have to admit, that sounds pretty cool.

I just hope that they have figured out how to keep the fire from escaping the moat.

The property will also have “water cannons that can take down parachuters”…

Also at Corbi’s project, “there are water cannons that can take down parachuters, Apache helicopters, whatever’s coming your way 500 feet in the air,” he says. “Then we took all the dirt removed for the lake to literally build a mountain as natural fortification around the property. And we cut a tunnel through with flame-throwers, gassing systems, a steel wall that closes midway that could stop a 16-wheeler going 80 miles an hour, and bollards at both ends.”

Okay, so I have a question.

Why go to so much trouble?

If life is going to continue more or less like it has for the past few decades, why waste so much money?

Obviously the client that is paying for this island fortress is envisioning that the world is going to go mad.

And I agree with that assessment.

In fact, I believe that the most chaotic chapters in all of human history are ahead of us.

The billionaires that I have discussed in this article would not see eye to eye with me on all of the specifics, but they are certainly preparing for apocalyptic times too.
